Help me with Jiggs research

Fellow Jiggs, I could really use your help!

Every day I find something new. Seriously. Testing is hard word though, and I really do not and should not be doing as much of it as I am now. Illinialex won't be doing any testing as far as I know. He did an enormous amount. Fill the void people.

Please help me. There is so much we could still get. If somethings already been found, and I don't know it, its because it isn't visible. Post it.



Here's what could help us out.


-The new rest KO% with DI and momentum canceling techniques. Those would be nice...

-KO% for f-air (side of stage), dash-attack, up-smash, and f-smash.

-combos, pseudo combos, and effective "strings" (hint... they exist)

-moves that trip and the %

-video for the f-tilt tether block trick.

-Double stick and GDI info, video, etc

-who can be grabbed off the ledge

-new and current matchup information and discussion threads.

-probably a lot of things I've missed :)

veril i found recently that if u fast fall a dair and time it perfectly so that the last kick hits and ur not low enuf to experiance lag that it combos with rest perfectly. ive had it done a few times in matches and if they sheild, ur still in a good position to pund, fair or fast fall to grab
when i say fast fall a dair i mean from reall high up, about 3 full jumps. if perfromed right ur opponent should go into that upside down spin animation where u can then set up the rest

May I suggest another area of testing?

With all the advancements in DI, I recommend that we work on getting the new rest kill percentages, factoring in proper DI.

fixed. Yeah, Link can survive past 110% on Final D if he FF d-airs.

That's not really my research though. I really want Jiggs frame data.

but hopefully we'll find someone that can help out in the jigglypuff frames department. :/

Back on topic: I think I can help you with 7, but I don't have equipment or knowledge to collect frame data, unless someone can tell me how. :X

hey Illin' I tried to get frame data but it says my wii's update level is to high so it fails, any suggestions on how to remove updates/avoid altogether?

The way to find ATs is to pick out exploits in the games physics. Jigg's air speed can possibly be exploited, as can his pivot and foxtrot. (hint hint, experement)

Pivot and foxtrot aren't exactly unexplored territory. Jiggs airspeed is a fundamental component of her game, not an AT and not really something that needs experimenting... just a lot of playing the game.

I thought a rest cancel could work at one point, it doesn't. Sing doesn't either. Sry.


Oh, and Thanks Alex! I want that dodge data sooo bad.

Yey! you used my idea!!

And the vid would be boring, but he could move the frames faster like a slide show, and it would go faster. But I would like to see how the vid would look.

OK GUYS. I am going to be getting frame data. I cannot get screenshots because of very very stupid issues with V-dub so I cannot get a screenshot of every frame. Because it turns the screen green. But I will be getting the frame data starting this Saturday.

The sleeping times every 20 damage(up to 200&(from going to sleep animation to waking up animation.)(please button mash for this)

The time when the first second, and third waves start.

if you could get all of this that would be incredibly awesome. I would find a way to repay you some how.

Could it happen? has anyone tried it? What would happen?

I don't think it is possible because of the invincibility frames, but would it work?????

Smexi-er than the falcon pwanch collision.

My idea. (just in case I die trying you can report how I boldly whent where no man has gone before.)




EDIT: Im also trying it in melee.

I've been trying for the last 15 minutes to no avail. Either one of the Jiggs gets priority against the other, or they just nap for a bit.

Might try Melee in a bit.

Timing may be almost impossible. You have to meet at the same frame.

The invincibility frames will most likely stop it from working.

Invincibility frames start at the first frame, thus they will both be unharmed.

The sleep times you are very capable of testing yourself, sing boy. :p

if u set two controllers to the same sequence they mimic eachother so u could have two jiggz resting at the same exact time, not sure wut would happen tho

if u had two jigglypuffs rest eachother at the sane time, theoretically nothing would happen. the invincibility from rest would protect themselves from either attack
