I can already see the intro to reveal Shulk is he is walking in the Plain's when he has a vision of Mario and the gang attacking him and dodges all of their attacks and blows them away with the monado and then the logo appears seeing "Shulk See Victory" and then goes to the gameplay
I see him taking down a bunch of R.O.B. robots and Mega Man. :joyful:

So I gt Xenoblade for my birthday the other day, and I have to say.........IT'S FREAKIN' AMAZING!!!

I like the Infinity Sandwich.

Also I support Shulk for Smash, even though he is basically confirmed due to the Gematsu Leak.

If we're gonna make some scenarios for the reveal trailer, I might as well post mine.
First like normal you see the Smash Bros. logo like the other trailers.
The camera pans through some peaceful plains up to a high cliff, where a dark shadowy figure is (Shulk).
The camera spins around the cliff and quickly zooms into the Shulk's shoe and the tip of the Monado.

The view cuts to Mario, Link, Kirby, Samus, Yoshi, and Sheik fighting.
Everyone stops, the camera moves to the what everyone is looking at.
Camera is shaking and focuses onto Shulk.

You will know our names starts playing along with gameplay.

Idk, something like that maybe...

EDIT: so the Hobby show started about 10 minutes ago.

Is there any place that's live streaming it? I mean, like in English text, like the one someone did for the E3 roundtable?

Nah, this is a whole different thing.

It's basically a "Professional" convention, where the public can go and play the games inside. No streaming, if we hear anything, it'll probably be from Twitter, Smash Bros. website, and/or Nintendo's Youtube channel.

Anyone else run into the problem of completing an area without accepting quests then going back and spending hours just building up a town's affinity? Sad part is this isn't even my first run

That's what I'm doing right now with Colony 9. I'm trying to get Shulk's fourth skill tree.

I enjoy the quests (from named NPCs), though, so it doesn't really bother me.

At first I found it tedious, but as you delve deeper into the more complex quests it becomes more fun. The Makna Ruins quests are a great example.

The trick is to avoid unnamed NPC quests. Those are just straight up boring.
What I do on my playthroughs is accept all the unnamed NPC quests at once and I'll usually complete all of them just by doing story stuff or other quests. I just kill everything I see. All those poor creatures.

The text apparently says "New character to come".
I think it'd be strange for it to not be a new character.
Well a lot of Asian languages don't have plurals. I'm not sure about Japanese, but I know in Chinese the sentence "New characters to come!" would be exactly the same as "New character to come!"

Also true in Japanese. There are some plural words, but there is no fixed way to make a word plural, as any word that is plural is an exception, rather than the rule. Example, they have words for both "person" and for "people."

It is also true that Japanese people love puns, and advertisers love to use this particular ambiguity for marketing reasons. Are we announcing a character? Or not? Who knows?

However "新参戦キャラが大活躍の予感!?" is a little more specific and likely points to a reveal.

I might be behind, but what does "新参戦キャラが大活躍の予感!?" say, anyway?

So 1 more hour left at the Hobby show. If we get any newcomer the next couple of minutes is the time.
EDIT:10 more minutes.... Still hope for Shulk.
EDIT:It's over. R.I.P. Hype.

Can't say I understand why people thought this was a potential reveal location. Soooo few people even knew about this event when you think about it.

"Oh, I didn't need to kill one of those? Oh well, might as well put his friends over here out of their grief." Is usually what I do, I usually get way too overleveled. XD

Hey look, another long time lurker who got an account.

Shulk has my full support!

I have a similar problem with those giant level 95 creatures in Makna Forest. I can't stop at only one.

So, which characters do you like to use the most in Xenoblade? I love using Dunban personally.

I almost always play as Shulk with Melia and Dunban following. I'm planning on switching to the last two party members once I get Seven. Never tried Riki, so I'm looking forward to it.

It's funny, I almost only played with Shulk for like 90+ hours, and then I realized "Oh wait, all these characters are amazing!" and now I play as everyone instead.

Played as everyone at one point or another. Shulk is the one I normally play as but I'll switch to Riki sometimes. As for my entire team, it used to strictly be Shulk, Sharla, and Riki, but I eventually decided that Shulk and Riki were good enough healers and used the last spot to alternate between Dunban and Seven.

My party is usually either Shulk/Sharla/Dunban, with Shulk leading, or Melia/Shulk/Dunban, with Melia leading.

I noticed all of the high prices people bought Xenoblade for.
I personally still can't believe I managed to my copy at $13.:awesome:

I only played as Shulk in my first play through. In my New Game Plus play through, I've been switching it up a little.
My main combo is Shulk, Reyn, and Sharla.

How did you find one for $13? I got mine for $50 at Gamestop.
A combination of tricks, actually.
See, I'm actually a Pro Member at GameStop. So that automatically cut the price down by $5.
I also saved up a bunch of GameStop Points to print out a coupon for $20 off any used game. Cut down by $20.
Finally, I traded in the game I absolutely despised... Paper Mario: Sticker Star.
All of the following combined dropped the price to exactly $13.14.
I'm pretty frugal, so hooray for exploits!
Sticker Star for Xenoblade, yes please!

Even though you paid $13, which is great, the game was technically still $50. I went into my local Gamestop today and picked up another rare game, Dokapon Kingdom. Xenoblade was right there case and all for $50. I was tempted to pick up a second copy for safe keeping :)

I got my copy for $63. Gamestop was having a buy 2 DS/Wii games, get 1 free deal. I paid for Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and Xenoblade and got Partners in Time free.
