Just saw a copy at a Gamestop in AZ for the original 50 bucks. Too much for a used game still, but it's the cheapest I've even seen it.

Hey guys, anyone remember the guy Roi Lion who liked to spoil things in the comments of Chuggaaconroy's Xenoblade LP and them vehemently defend himself? Well that jerkbutt got TOLD today. Obviously Chugga couldn't call him out directly, 'cause he's a classy guy like that, but he did very specifically define what the guy's been saying and he told him off. Check out the comments:

(I posted pictures of the comments mainly for the extra son got TOLD element to Chugga's comment that you can't find in the video, and also that one guy has the timestamp for when the telling off happens in the video.)

I started playing Xenoblade, I really like how the game's going, but I can't tell if i'm just bad at the game or if it's hard. I can't beat those damn Ancient Machines...

I saw this too! Roi Lion is seriously pathetic (did you see his arguments for spoiling the endgame?) and he deserves this 100%.

ALL Hail Sal Romano.

I've never played Xenoblade but Shulk looks very interesting I'm glad he is more then likely in.

So I had gotten into a "debate" with someone about Shulk being in SSB4. I'll be paraphrasing a bit, but it basically went down like this (in short):

Person: "I don't know. . . I know about Sal Romano's leak, but I don't really see Shulk getting revealed in the future."

Hey everyone, been viewing these boards for a while now and decided to finally sign up today, and I just wanted to say I'm definitely a supporter of Shulk! I purchased Xenoblade on it's launch day over here in the UK and i've wanted Shulk in a Smash Bros game ever since, so personally i'm thrilled to see Shulk having so much support for his inclusion.

It's nice that this thread has become more popular now! I remember when I used to lurk here while there where only like 27 pages.

>I get discouraged from experiencing a story if major plot events get spoiled.
>understandable

He just indirectly called Chugga a ****** and said "understandable." Wat.

To everyone who's been stopping by, welcome! And to everyone who's here now, let's continue the discussion! I had a thought about a potential Final Smash idea that i hadn't seen before- what about Battle Soul? I could be a basic steroid for Shulk, with him doing more damage and maybe moving faster. It's not the flashiest idea, but it's something i could see Sakurai doing for sure.

I'm sticking with my Chain Attack idea since it might look flashy. >:}

Are you at the level of those enemies? If you're using Shulk, try not spamming arts and take advantage of auto-attacking and positioning your attacks. Here's Chugga's video if you want reference.

I don't know much about Shulk so does the Monado help him see into the feature.

A lot of love for Shulk in the "Top 5 Most Wanted and Least Wanted" thread, and only two people have Shulk on their least wanted list. Funnily enough, one of them dislikes him for being a "generic blond JRPG protagonist with a sword" and then has Isaac on his most wanted list. I would reply to him there but I don't feel like being the first person to massively derail that thread.

@ Skyfox2000 Skyfox2000 Yes, the Monado gives Shulk visions of the future.

In a way, there is a bit more to it then just that if I recall right, but I'm still playing through the game again so I'm probably not the best to relay those details.

The Monado helps him see into the features of any product!

"I'm having a vision... It's... The CoffeeMaster 5000! With new features like Auto-Bean and Sugar-matic!"

But, yes, the Monado does help him see the future.

Or so he thinks. Just like Dorothy, it turns out in the end that the power was with him all along!

Can one of you guys put a moveset together for him. and could his Final Smash be one of the Mechs in the New Xenoblade?

Thought you were talking about the NPC Dorothy in Colony 9 for a second there. Haha.

I think that's unlikely considering the Mechs never appeared in Shulk's game.

The Mechs is from the new game right (forgive me never played Xenoblade)
Right. They're not in Xenoblade and there's so much that could be drawn from, it would seem like a waste. At least to me.
So nobody is worried that ssb4 might spoil something in Xenoblade?
Oh, it definitely will. The trophies guarantee it.

Zelda was able to switch to Sheik in Melee/Brawl. Obviously there's going to be Xenoblade spoilers if Xenoblade is repped in this game.

Which episode is it? Most recent one?
Yep! The most recent one And boy it was satisfying.

I wouldn't like seeing the mechs in Shulk's FS. There is so much more that could be taken from Xenoblade to be used for that, I would be really annoyed if something from the spiritual successor to Xenoblade that actually resembles something from the other Xeno games more (I'm going to guess Xenogears, I don't actually know much about the other Xeno games) ended up being it.

That's true. I'm just scared that they might pull another Mother 3 class spoiler like they did in brawl. In fact, any spoiler might have a larger effect than intended given that Shulk's inclusion is what will get many people to pick up Xenoblade at all in my opinion.

Technically, there are a few mechs in Xenoblade. Remember the attack on Colony 9? Fiora used one. Though it's not associated with Shulk, and not prominent enough to be his final smash.
Technically, the faced mechons could be considered mechs too, but Shulk definitely won't use one of those for his final smash.

Maybe after the events of Xenoblade, Shulk was the one to design the blueprints for the mechs seen in X. THEN it'll make sense for a mech to be Shulk's final smash. GENIUS.
Nah, I'm still holding onto the visions being his final smash. Or a chain attack. Just as long as it's not Monado Buster, it'd be a really bland FS.

They've gotten away with spoiling the events of varies series like Mother, Fire Emblem, Metal Gear, and The Legend of Zelda.

Why would Xenoblade Chronicles suddenly become the exception?

So I was thinking of an idea for Shulk's moves recently, inspired by Squigly from Skullgirls.

Basically, the idea is for all four of his specials to be chargeable, and for the charge to carry over to one another. So if you charge any of his specials, you charge the other three as well (and you can store the charge like with most of such moves in Smash). But using any of the four moves uses up all of the charge that you've built up for the other three as well.

I feel like it makes sense on a number of levels. The Monado feels like a "charge weapon" in some ways, and the mechanic would also represent the Talent Gauge to an extent. Furthermore, charge moves in the standard Smash Bros free-for-all are generally most useful when the other players aren't paying attention to you, in other words, when you don't have any "aggro." You see what I'm getting at, right?

I think it's a fun idea, at least.

I think that could work out fairly well depending on which specials he was given. If we go Buster, Eater, Cyclone, and Shield, I think it'd work out just fine.

Those are actually the specials I was thinking he should have, minus Eater. I was thinking Purge instead, which is more or less the same idea what with both of them being ether-based projectile Monado Arts. I suppose they'd have different trajectories, though.

[collapse=Xenoblade Spoilers]I tend to think of Eater as Zanza's ability more than Shulk's, since it's an optional art for the player while Zanza uses it in his final battle with Meyneth.[/collapse]

I guess the main thing is that all of his specials would need to be Monado Arts for it to make sense. Honestly though, I see all of his specials being Monado Arts either way.
