I just realized, the Wii U version stage will be the first time we see Xenoblade in HD

We'll see the stage high-definition in resolution, but it might not actually be HD in a sense that it'll be high in geometry and texture quality. Some stages like Skyloft, Pilot Wings, and Town & City aren't graphically altered and still retain Wii graphics, so I'm expecting the Wii U version of the stage to look the same as it is in Xenoblade but literally in HD.

Fortunately, most of Xenoblade's areas have beautiful lighting, so we won't have that much of a problem. c;

I must admit that it still amazes me that this is a Wii game, imagine if all the Wii games had that kind of effort on them.

The only bad thing I can say about Xenoblade is that it hasn't gotten a Wii U release in HD, I'd buy it again to support the devs :D

Also about Shulk being a Marth Clone: I hope this isn't true, we honestly have enough of those and it wouldn't make any sense, plus what if Shulk's ability to see into the future isn't used in any way? Sakurai's played Xenoblade, surely he wouldn't do this to us

I never wished for all this to get out, so I can understand how people feel. It was hurting to watch from the sidelines during this madness the past week in hoping nothing else would happen.

Exactly. Seeing him in HD, specifically showing off what makes him unique and on his home stage will be as exciting to me as it ever would have been without this leak.

Also, I don't think he's that clone-ish. At least, not specific to Marth. He seems to be more of a sword fighter with moves "based" on the current sword wielding cast with a gimmick in place to set him apart. Plus who knows how awesome his custom moves will be?

I know he's not and I just feel that having everything suddenly revealed through a leak is the worst possible way to tell people their character isn't going to be in. I'd rather the slots get smaller and smaller over time as people gradually come to accept the roster and let go of some characters they know won't happen.

It's not that bad. Having a few characters leaked is hardly a big deal. Smash 4 has been hyped for over 2 years. Now it's only 3 weeks before release when true leaks are surfacing

I saw some of the videos and Shulk definitely had something that looked like a stance move and glow in various parts of his body, he can probably buff himself.

So happy that Shulk's in. His neutral special seems really cool (want to see what each Monado symbol does exactly). A little disappointed that his down special seems to be another counter, but I'll live with it. Can't wait to use him! :D

I feel you bro, but I can seriously take condolence in the fact that Shulk is in as a playable character. Seeing that Xenoblade rep is all that matters in the world to me. It's no surprise that not all our expectations were met, but we should be thankful he's in there at all.

I wouldn't be surprised if he planned it in his marketing strategy.

It'd sure be nice to get a trailer announcement. Although honestly after today I'm not sure how many bones Sakurai will throw us.

So...about the Marth clone thing. Are people ****ing stupid? None of his normal attacks are shared with Marth, any of his movement, anything like that. Also, his neutral B changes his goddamn stats. Is that Shield Breaker? No, it ****ing isn't.

Oh look, he has a Counter (That doesn't share the same animation, and is either Shadow Eye or a vision, by the way.) Guess which other, "super unique" newcomers do? Little Mac, Greninja, Palutena, and obviously Lucina. (The actual Marth clone.) Palutena didn't even NEED to have one, and yet she has one as a default.

Oh, and Shulk's up-b is similar to Marth's? Whoopdee****ing do. I never had an easy time thinking of a good way for Shulk to up-b, and making Air Slash similar to Marth's is fine. It doesn't make him a ****ing clone. "Oh, Palutena has Warp. Zelda clone." "Oh, Greninja's Aqua Jet is basically a faster Quick Attack. Clone." "Little Mac has a spinning Up-B with no distance? Wario clone." Are we ****ing done here? Shulk's moveset isn't what everyone wanted, but it's clearly very original in most places, and he's as original as pretty much every newcomer we have. (Well, not Rosie.) Stop throwing around the word clone like it's that goddamn easy.

I'm looking forward to maining him. He looks stronk as ****.

Oh, I should also add: "Mega Man and Pac-Man both have SPRING Up-B's? Are you ****ing kidding me Sakurai? Why make two Third parties Sanic clones?!"

Oh, and one more thing. I'm sorry, but one more. I keep hearing people say "Oh, he's got PM Roy's down-smash. Clone." You ****ing people are amazing. So...Shulk's got a move that doesn't actually exist in a canon Smash game? Good. So it's an original Shulk move in actual Smash then?

Psssssst......I'm on the same boat as you with the Dark Pit thing, he could be like a reverse clone, where he actually looks like a clone, but has a different moveset altogether.

Did anyone notice that in the gameplay video with shulk in it, the very first thing he does is this really cool up-smash where he drives the HILT of the Monado into the ground, and then activates in, causing the blade to like shoot up. It looks really cool, i can't wait to play him

That's how I feel about Shulk's moveset. It might not be like how most of us wanted, but it looks so fluid and great range.
Also, there are still things to look forward to, like his reveal trailer and Wii U stage.

It seems like he can activate them while moving, or even jumping, without hindering any current action, so I'm assuming not? This is definitely one of those things we'll have to see in action though.

So this leak confirms the Ninka leak yeah?

So that means that each character gets 8 costumes. I could see like 4 of Shulk's costumes being the swaps and then the other four being some of the armours.

Now I see why ppl are saying Monado Modes are the B attack; it's what Ninka leak says. How can Monado Buster be a mode though? Is it the one that makes him more powerful? Geeze, I would have thought that would be Monado Enchant.

What's the fourth one I look at though if not Monado Enchant? It's one of the more clear pics but I just can't figure it out. It's green, so you might think purge, but the right side of it doesn't look like purge's symbol.

edit: Actually, taking another look at it, that has to be Monado Enchant. In that case, perhaps Monado Buster isn't a mode but an attack.

I know Japanese and the 2nd to last one cannot be any of the ones you've shown. It has two characters to form one "whole" character; both of their tops are flat. Which doesn't match any of the kanjis you listed. Must be something else.

The last one just doesn't look like anything LOL no idea what kanji it can be.

About all the different Kanjis.

I'm kinda expecting them to be a Mega Man kinda deal, lots of different iconic skills, but they're just standard moves rather than part of a huge special pool.

Some guy apparently talked about his moves before the video was a thing, and he was 100% correct. (don't think I'd be able to find a source for that, sorry, this forum's moving way too fast right now) He said he could switch between two modes, one focused on dealing and receiving more damage, and the other's just the opposite.

I think what's going on is those 2 modes are just the armor mode and the enchant mode or some buff mode. Armor = more defense, less damage, attack buff = less defense, more armor. And the other 3 "modes" are either buffs or moves (Monado Buster).

I think it's actually interesting that it doesn't seem you can just 'skip" to the Arts you want to use instantly, you have to flip through them (or use them in a sort of cycle, or something like that). A lot like the game where you have to switch to things quickly and account for how much time it will take to flip to a certain Arts when trying to decide what to use in battle :D

Did we hear Adam Howden? The only thing i've heard Shulk say clearly is "Air Slash" and it didn't sound very....Howdeny.....maybe I'm just crazy...
