It's funny that you mention that. I was thinking about the possibility of both of them being in Smash 4 earlier this week.

If the Groose was Loose DURING Reyn Time, I think the universe would implode.

Meh. I think it's just because Xenoblade isn't SUPER popular, particularly in the States. People see Shulk as foreign, unfamiliar, etc. I'll admit, I didn't even know what Xenoblade was until a little over a year ago. But I checked out the game on a whim and absolutely fell in love. Not everyone is like that, though.

Ugh. I bet that it's horrible. The ignorance is so bad that I believe that some people call Shulk a Fire Emblem character. >_> I believe that it's purely blind hatred from those who haven't played or seen gameplay of Xenoblade. I dunno why there has been some Anti-Shulk stuff.

I think that most of the Anti-Shulk people are really just against the Gematsu leak. I don't know if anyone actually dislikes Shulk as a character or thinks he would be a bad addition to Smash (unless they just don't know who he is).

That the problem I have with some Nintendo fans, they want to stay in their box that they made and don't want a new game experiences. Just Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and pokemon all the time. Nintendo have so many IPs that just die, Fire emblem was going to another one if awakening didn't sale, it just sad. I don't want Nintendo to be reduce to just four IPs.

I figure most people that blindly hate on him are probably just ignorant of Shulk and Xenoblade and maybe don't realize the degree of potential for him as a character because of that. I see a lot of hate centered around him being generic so I guess they just haven't studied up to see how unique this could be, you know. Man, sometimes ignorance and hate just seem to kind of perpetuate in some places, too. And if they have researched him and his game well, and read the good arguments for his inclusion, and still blindly hate... welp, then that's just whack. And also their opinion. But still whack.... I mean StarFox is getting a new game, and Miyamoto has said that the only reason there's not a new F-ZERO yet is because he is trying to make a game with a new, solid feeling to it he doesn't want to release GX in HD ,with different tracks (Dumb I know).
And if your saying Metroid is not selling, that's not true even Other M sold decent enough, Nintendo knows that Metroid is pretty big in the U.S.

Shulk would be a great addition to the roster and it pains me to see people make uninjustified arguments against him. People say hes unpopular but the reason he came to america is because so many people wanted to bring him over. I got xenoblade a few weeks ago but it's already become one of my favorite games, before then i was pretty indifferent to shulk but now he's my most wanted newcomer so people who don't like him either haven't played the game yet or only played for 2 minutes.

You're not alone, man. Not that Mario Kart is bad or anything. Heck, I'm still hooked on MK8's online. It's a timeless, nostalgic racing series. But F-Zero and Air Ride gave us something different, and I really miss that from Nintendo's racing lineup. Just get some variety is all.

People who are against Shulk are usually the "too many sword users" people from what I've seen.
And that's dumb since his Monado is a freakin' hybrid lightsaber.

I see. Sorry about the misunderstanding. :/ But I'd kill for another Retro developed Metroid game. I recently replayed the original Prime game, and I'd honestly forgotten what a masterpiece it is. Oh, and I didn't hate Other M either. The story was disappointing but aside from that, a fun enough outing.

I myself am not complaining about this, I love sword wielders, and the Monado is unique. But I feel as though it's an excuse the developers could use (or have used, by this point) to not include him.

I feel the Sword user argument is rediculous.
I mean sure there is a lot but it wouldn't be all that fun if everyone used their fists now would it.
However I wish he would put some different sword fighting styles in Smash they all seem to be European at the moment.
That's why I support Takamaru so much is because the possibility of his unique fighting style, a Japanese fighting style, this is also one of the main reasons I support Shulk, because of all the unique things the Monado can do.
