Shulk looks like an interesting character. Although I never played his games, but he has my support.

In the event that Xenoblade were to somehow get another character, Seven would definitely be my first pick. That character is essentially the second most important to the plot, despite the fact that they come in so late. After that I'd probably pick Reyn, then Dunban. They'd all make good AT's as well though.

So I got Xenoblade used for 30 bucks (yep, lucky right?). I'm an hour and a half in. Let's say I don't care about sidequest unless I do them during the playthrough. How long is the game? I heard it's like 200 hours and I don't really have the time for that. I'm gonna finish it in a year if that's true lol.
Anyway from what I have seen, I expect Xeno to appear in Sm4sh, absolutely. I hope at least.

200 if you do EVERYTHING
Maybe about 40-60 if you just go though the main story. If you don't do sidequest, you have to grind a bit more.
If anyone here hasn't played Xenoblade yet, go grab a copy as soon as possible. That game is seriously going crazy in prices. Really, a reprint NEEDS to be done.

Xenoblade was made by Monolith, and they're a first-party development team, so yeah, Shulk (and the IP) are 100% Nintendo owned.

I would suggest the idea of an HD remake for the Wii U in order to grab peoples attention of the game before the release of X.

It was made for the Wii way before the Wii U was even a thing if I remember correctly.
Unfortunately yeah. I'm just glad it did still see a U.S. release, and thankfully HD was really the only thing they could have done to it in particular.

With X coming out at some point I don't see why Nintendo would make a remake of xenoblade since most people seem to believe X is the successor to Xenoblade. Though that's not to say it wouldn't be cool.
Shulk is a great choice for smash and I'm rooting for his reveal maybe at e3. Though with X I wonder if it's main character will be in instead.

Man Xord is hard. I'm at level 25 with everyone but I can't survive long enough to make a chain attack... How am I supposed to defeat him? Do I have to drain his whole energy or does it stop after a while like the first time?
Also I know the max level you can reach with a character is 99, does it mean I am at 1/4 of the walkthrough?

Considering we don't know a thing about X's protagonist, I'd say that it's highly unlikely that (s)he'd appear over Shulk.

Make sure you change your armor and everything before you fight him. I never changed it and he whooped my arse.

Well let's assume X comes out at some time before smash bros 4 does. Which I think is likely going to happen. We will have a more recent character, and more relevant to Wii U's game release for Nintendo to use. Just like mewtwo came into brawl due to popularity and relevance, same as lucario.
Maybe I'm over analyzing but yeah Shulk would be a great addition to brawl. Let's not all forget dem graphics.

Well most of the content from Brawl was focused on the Gamecube era. Not to mention, the roster has already been decided, so Sakurai would have had to like the character very early on to add him.

Not really going to matter when the roster has most likely been finalized at this point. Maybe there will be a trophy from X? But i can say that Shulk has more priority.

In the end I was able to defeat him. About the armor I go pretty random, I'm not expert in this kind of games, so I don't know what should I buy or use. I guess towards the end of the game I'll have to use a guide for those things.

Sheriff can happen both ways. If he's in a trailer, they should show a transformation where he changes from a sprite into a new 3d look. 
My guess would be DOJO reveal, but if Sakurai wants to highlight a new series (new as in new, not new as in new to Smash), then I could see Shulk being in the trailer. Or if they somehow want to tie it in with X or something.

Is the game pretty linear with Xenoblade? I've only played a bit and I'm curious because I really don't want to stick myself on an RPG I could get lost in over and over again this summer.

I feel that Shulk's best chances to show up are as a Dojo reveal, which could probably be a late Dojo reveal, similar to Olimar.

If you're asking if Xenoblade is a linear game I would say no. While there's usually an arrow at the top of your screen that points how many meters the next checkpoint is you're free to explore the whole world itself, do quests, find secrets, etc. There's also some back-tracking involved but it doesn't get to the point where it's overly-tedious.

Given the characters that most of us are expecting there seems to be few who would really suit being starters. Shulk is one of the few so I think he has a good chance at being in the trailer or a very early reveal.
Conventional male adventure hero type characters like Shulk were some of the first reveals for Brawl (Pit and Ike).

One thing for sure is that when Shulk does get confirmed, the more polished out character model would be appreciated.
If there is one criticism is that the character models in Xenoblade were pretty low quality, though understandably considering the limitations of the Wii.

Seeing Shulk as more detailed in HD is going to be great. I've been waiting to see what he's going to look like.

Well I mean really, i'm excited to see everything in HD for Smash Bros. But HD will finally do Shulk some justice I think.
Armor is Armor. It should just increase your stats. Dont over think it and put on which give you more blue than red.
Probably with the first character unveils.

I feel Shulk best suits a dojo reveal. Despite his popularity, I'm not sure if his trailer debut will generate the amount of hype as some other characters. You never know though!

I don't think theres many characters left who will do that anyway. Not characters who would be starters at least.
Last trailer had Pit, Wario and Zamus who you could argue would generate equal or less hype than Shulk.
