Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock

lol... I want to play the PS3 and PS2 versions, so I can make comparisons... but since Saturday was the first time I played with the LP controller as opposed to the Explorer, I gotta say that the 360 one felt really good... tilt thing doesn't matter for me since I press Select anyway, but the Wiimote sensors are usually messed up...

I suck at being good at TTFaF... I got 502k once, then I've never even gotten close... whenever I have a great run, I do horrible in the ending...

I'm hoping to FC Monsters soon... it's tough overall, but I like to play the song and I just have to get the solo and have a clean run otherwise... it's an FC I actually want to get...

Hey, I play GH3 too. :D This is my first GH game and even though I'm not a true guitar hero like so many other people in this thread are, but I can play on expert, so that's got to count for something(stuck on One, which I can probably beat if I try it more, and Raining Blood).

Though, I'm not gonna lie. I have the Wii version and it doesn't bother me at all, though graphics never really mattered too much to me >_>

The sensitivity's never really messed me up , but I never played the other GH's, so I never got used to the controllers.

But sometimes Nintendo does annoy me. Srsly, no downloadable content? D:

Also, it's also really annoying how they decided to sell every single Wii guitar controller bundled with the game. Apparently there's not going to be any Wii guitar controllers for sale until January...>_>

For those who fon't have any qualms with the Wii version, that's great. Seriously, if you can play the game and have absolutely no problem with it, then power to you.

Those observations of mine come from the fact that I own the 360 version. I cannot play the Wii version. I have actually failed songs playing on the Wii version.

i agree. none of you can say that it's not bad unless you've seen or played the 360 or ps3 version as well. the main problem i have with the wii is the graphics. i feel that i dont get the most out of the game.

btw does anyone know if the graphics on the ps3 are better than the 360 version? i've played both but they look the same. same with the wii and ps2.

Well, what do I know? I'm a GH n00b. Starting on Easy, working my way up step by step.

haha reminds me of the first time i played the game. my roomates were all pretty sick at gh2 and they forced me to only play on hard. the first song i completed was radium eyes haha and it took like a week. ***. holes!

honestly, i think the wii version is pretty crappy. the guitar looks nice, but the strum bar is so sensitive and loose. im not sure about other guitars, but the buttons tend to stick and are a ***** to press down. i still like my SG from gh2 better than the wii les paul.

Are we going to complain about the graphics of a game that has you looking at the fretboard the entire time or are we going to play our version and enjoy it
Play and enjoy your version as much as you want; that's not going to stop me from hating it.

Yes, I am going to complain about the graphics, because not only do I actually watch them while playing the game, but because the Wii is capable of so much more.

And if you had paid attention, you'd have noticed that I had only said that everyone looks like a poorly-animated robot. Sure, I could have gone into more detail, but I don't classify graphics as a defining point of a game; so I instead went on to gripe about every aspect of the guitar, the obnoxious blue-on-blue-nonsense-while-using-SP, and incredibly-annoying-transparency-of-the-fretboard-near-the-top-of-the-screen. God forbid I make evem a slight remark towards the graphics.

Got it for wii today, I'm not noticing any of the downsides I've heard so far.

Of course graphics aren't going to be 360 quality, but failing songs because of it?

LOL I call bull****.

graphics are very important. Especially when we're not living in the 90s.

Miss you Ryan
Graphics are not important for GH3 at all. As long as the fretboards are lookin' good, there could be murder or child porn in the background and I would never notice.

CHRIST ALL-****ING-MIGHTY.

Seriously, read what I have to say before you try to call bull****. Everyone. I mean, seriously; READ.

YES, I have gripes about the graphics. However, as I said, I DON'T CLASSIFY GRAPHICS AS A DEFINING POINT IN GAMES. YES, I am spoiled with the 360 graphics. YES, the Wii is capable of a ****ton more than a bunch of poorly-animated robots. NO, I don't fail a song because of awful graphics.

I fail a song because the Wii guitar is an absolute crock of ****. I fail a song because the fretboard is trasparent near the top of the screen (When I can see my guitarist through my notes, that's not good.). I fail a song because when I use SP, both the notes and fretboard become a frustrating-to-discern blue-on-blue mess. I fail a song because when I let go of the strum bar, it bounces back up and registers an extra strum.

Stop classifying me as some idiot who places graphics above everything else. Yes, they annoy me, but I really don't give a ****. Next time, pay attention to what I have to say instead of only focusing on some completely unimportant argument.

...I hate having to swear so much, but I'm really annoyed right now. -_-;;

I didn't classify you, I was hardly being serious.

LOL ok I understand some of your issues, let's just calm down a bit.

Oh wait, the Internet is serious business nvm.

And seriousness is very easy to discern over the internet. ¬_¬

Common courtesy is to add something along the lines of "Not seriously." (or "j/k" if you so prefer) to the end of your post. Otherwise, I am to consider your claims of bull**** to be legit and should thus back myself up.

The internet is serious business when people are attacking your integrity.

Goodbye GH3, I have moved on to Rock Band.

(Not that I won't still play, but it'll be far less often.)

I really want this bad for Wii is it good? like i know the game is good but what about the Wii verison?
I don't think the Wii version is that bad. However, if you're used to playing the PS3 or 360 version though it might be difficult to get used to the strum sensitivity and graphics.

But the Wii version was my first guitar hero game and I have no complaints.

I'm on the eighth set now(on Expert), it's kicking my ***.
Haha, me too. I can't get Raining Blood (of course), and I should be able to beat that solo in One with star power but I haven't tried it enough (I only tried it twice).

So I got the game yesterday and played through career on Hard. Didn't have a problem with a single song until Raining Blood, which I tried 3 times and gave up on. It's alright though, I've got the Devil Went Down to Georgia through the DLC Boss Pack so I don't need to finish the song to get it. I just don't have Through the Fire and Flames because I haven't beat career mode.

Anyways, I wasn't impressed with the game at all. There weren't a lot of fun songs, most of them felt like a chore to play. The game feels really dated, I honestly felt like I was playing GH2 with new songs. I noticed a lot of framerate drops, which is ridiculous to have in a game where precision timing is key. I guess I'm just spoiled by Rock Band.
