Dragonforce=Death...

Also, Rock Band has not been officially announced for the Wii, although it has been heavily rumored...

For GH3, they have to get permission from each individual band/artist to use the master track... so ZZ Top said no... sadly...

Priest is my god :)

I hope GH3 price gets lowered, I could give ablout -11 craps about Rock Band, since Rock Band might kill it.
A game is going to kill itself? What?

And Primus and GAW, both of you need to chill the **** out. Both of you are getting really annoying in this thread.

edit: And Rock Band is not "heavily rumored" for the Wii. The only person that says it's coming to the Wii is Matt from IGN, who is full of outrageous claims like "Halo on DS exists!"

Eh, I just hope the new GH has more alternative songs... Metal/hairmetal/classicrock solos and melodies are fun as hell to play... but I miss some of the tounge in cheek, funto screw around with songs in GHI :/

I loved doing Stellar, Fat Lip, Get Ready 2 Rokk, and of course the Guitar Hero song... That one was so freakin' fun to me.

"Gonnnnaa be a guitar, gonnnaa be a guitar, gonnnnnnaa be a guitar hero! *nier ne nier ne nier nier DUN DUN!"

Yeah, Volrec, I couldn't understand you either. As for me and Primus, we settled it last page.

All Matt said was an early demo form of Halo DS existed but got scrapped. And you can't really prove it wrong. But whatever.

True, true.

He does have pics, but I don't deny that they could've easily been photoshopped.

(But still, doesn't he have anything better to do than make fake pics for a game he admits isn't coming out?)

New tracks announced.

Paranoid, as made famous by Black Sabbath
Mississippi Queen, as made famous by Mountain
La Grange, as made famous by ZZ Top
Reptillia, performed by the Strokes

Miss Murder, performed by AFI
3's and 7's, performed by Queens of the Stone Age
Raining Blood, performed by Slayer
Reptillia, performed by the Strokes
Cities on Flame, as made famous by Blue Oyster Cult

Bold means they're also in Rock Band. It'll be interesting to see the different note charts.

Jeebus. That looks fun as all hell. I'll probably fail a billion times first, but it looks really fun to play once you get it down. I love the intro.

And Sugoi, drop pounds? You can't be serious.

Just letting everyone know my opinion on this the topic of GH80s - I am very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it to any guitar hero addict. If you don't play this game everyday, this might not be as glorious for you as it is for me

on a different note: unlocked "The Log" 2nd day after I bought the game

YAYUHHHZZZ!!!

Holy **** at Through the Fire and Flames. That looks like the most punishing song, oh, I don't know, ever?

One by Metallica is in the game. Don't know if it's the master track or not, but it's in.

^^^ It's the master track.

Isn't TtFaF supposed to have like over 6800 notes?

What's that supposed to mean? 'Cause we've already established it's the master track.
I think y'all maybe misunderstood eachother. GAW, you meant "master", as in the original recording. He meant "master" as in the best and hardest song in the game since it's Metallica.

Mad excited for GH3 for Wii, especially with songs like Cherub Rock by The Smashing Pumpkins. <3 SP. The fact that it's a master track makes it even better, too; covering a SP song well would be pretty difficult, particularly considering Billy Corgan's vocals.

Through the Fire and Flames should be.... game lengthening, to say the least.

I saw a hands-on preview for Rock Band (on T.V.), and I must say, I wasn't all that impressed. But that's probably because the people playing it really sucked. I guess I'll just have to try it out for myself.

Well of course you look incredibly lame while you play it, it's just fun to work together to do well on songs.

... It's the same thing as Guitar Hero but with more instruments... Did you ever play co-op Guitar Hero? Insanely fun. An entire band set-up? Incredible.

Yes, of course I have payed Co-Op. Don't get me wrong, I will probably have lots of fun playing it, just watching people play wasn't all that great (it showed them playing the instruments with barely any gameplay footage). And the person singing was...well, let's say no one can pronounce Suffragette quite like Bowie.

Thankfully in the online options you can turn off the voice of who ever is singing and just have the default singing of the track play. :D

Wait, like, the singer can still sing into the mic, and have it judge his singing, but it won't come out of the speakers? 'Cause that'd be awesome. I'm sure I'll get sick of my friends voice pretty quick.

Yeah. In local multiplayer it won't do you any good, because you'll be able to hear your friend's terrible voice right next to you, but online it will save your precious ears.

Eh, I still wouldn't mind having the option in local mutliplayer. At least I wouldn't have to hear the voice blasting out of the speakers as well as right next to me.

EDIT:

I scratched up my GH80's by accident, to the point where it no longer works...

So I just got back with my new copy.

I know, fifty bucks down the drain, but I can't live knowing there's a GH out there that I can't play whenever I please.

You could fit two guitars in a suitcase no problem. I do it all the time when I'm bringin' all my videogame crap to a friends house.

But I could understand if you didn't want to pay the extra money just to bring Guitar Hero.

Wait, actually, I couldn't. GH is too great to go without for a whole year. :/

So, I need to know (and I forgot where I asked Cashed this anyway) will Rock Band's controllers work with Guitar Hero 1, 2, 80s, and 3? Since Guitar Hero 3 will work with Rock Band, I will probably get that anyway to serve as my bass guitar, but I really don't want to have to buy another Guitar Hero 3 controller so I can play the others with my friends.
