My problem with attendance has always been mainly school...Trying to find a ride is never fun either though... I appreciate people like Aposl, Sassy, Gimr, SSR, and the rest of the people that have ever driven me anywheres...

Hopefully I'll be one of those people late Jan/early Feb... I could probably do rides for home-stricken smashers at that point.

I haven't checked in, in like forever, but the scene looks fine to me if you guys are pulling around 50 per tourney.

I think part of the problem with what discourages new players is that when they play a top player in the region, no one cheers for the new guy, and more likely than not has some backhanded trash talk when cheering on their friend. And I'm not saying don't cheer on your friend, but it's not necessary to bring down the noob fighting for his life while your friend is giving him the ****.

Some of the best motivators by far is when I played people in brackets and friendlies, and got compliments. I guess that's just a personality thing though, but I know I never forgot my matches with Azen, or when Neo said I should train with him, or when Omni flashes that omni smile(no homo) and says "HEYYY GUYY pound it".

I guess what I'm trying to say just being friendly could go a long way, in terms of preserving and adding to the community.

Do not type my name. U will never beat me again. It was, as described by everyone in the venue, a fluke in a 6:4 (at best) MU on the best stage for it (FD). U sir should still be thanking w/e religious figure u pray 2 at night for that win and not making me come across posts like these.

Vist was one of my favorite players in brawl, just because he's awesome, so I'm sad he doesn't play brawl anymore.

But at the same time, i'm really happy for him since he went and won a melee tournament, so he found his own success in a different realm. I'm glad he came out to my house tournament, he's really a great dude.
