sup im moving to DC area to start work next month and will be lookin to smash/chill

looking for place to live and was hoping to get some advice on cool places/places to avoid

i wanna smash, be close to a music venue, live 10-15 mins walking from a metro station (commuting public trans to work, not gonna have a car/moto, and afraid of biking), and avoid expensive rent (<1k/month)

any advice would be appreciated thanks~ sorry im jacking thread

Ha...well I can tell you that you won't find a decent apartment around DC for under $1K, that's for sure. Hope you like roommates!

My advice, move somewhere outside of DC thats still close to a metro station. Metro DC instead of actually DC itself is a much better idea

That depends. If you go into Union Station for work every day like I do, taking the MARC can save you $100/mo over the metro, and it's faster to boot.
