but only giving the day and a time; Sat[urday at] 2am, can only lead me to believe that the tournament finals start at 2:00AM, on Saturday the 28th

but what you meant was
the tournament finals start at 2:00AM, Saturday night (which everyone who isn't a dummy head can figure out is actually Sunday, the 29th

tl;dr - you skimped on necessary information and are thus the azzhole and not me
