Nintendo seems to like capping things at 255.
It's also the cap for EVs in each stat in pokemon (255 per stat 510 total)

You realize 255 is the maximum number for a one-byte number, right? 0b11111111 = 255

I don't know what that means, but in terms of EVs, I'm pretty sure it's actually 512 possible EVs but if you only put it into 2 stats 2 are wasted and 512 mbs always stuck out in my mind.
Also, I agree so much with coffeeblack. Beer can chicken is the juciest mother ducking chicken ever.

We have a cool chicken dish at my work right now.
Chicken thigh stuffed with Farrotto, Dates, Chestnuts and some other stuff. Then it gets Sous Vide.
Chicken liver mousse, Fried Brussels, oyster mushrooms, Nduja Sausage and Navy Beans.
Hay and Chestnut Cream.
Radish Powder (Radish's get dehydrated for 2 days, then ground)
Radish sprouts and bread crumbs.
Its hard to visualize but its tasty.

Also I was asking if he was joking about 255 being Nintendo's favourite number but apparently not. For values that you don't expect to or don't need to get at all large (i.e. <256) you use a one byte number to store things. A number stored as a single byte can have the values 0-255, 256 being 2^8, and there being 8 bits in a byte.

When you see a bear attacking your dogs while you're out hunting, you shoot first and admire its cuteness later (yes this actually happened to us this year)
Then, after you shoot the bear to save your dog, instead of wasting it you eat it. because they taste amazing.
Also, the difference between eating a bear and eating a golden retriever is because bears are not domesticated, while dogs are.

The first is a Ganon ditto MM against Bing (my tag is 8192) and I lost 3-1. The second is my Marth vs Bing's Fox and I won 3-0. The third is my Marth vs Mprime's Falco, and I won 3-2 (including a 3 stock comeback game 5 :D).
It would be soooo great for you to either upload these sets or send the videos to me, thanks!
