Well I understand; that's why I said the project. I love Brawl+. But I have heard often that the actual backroom is terrible. But then again, many BRooms are said to be awful.

I managed to get throw data for every character in B+, across several sets without the fixed z-button. No Johns... but I wish I had this code as much or moreso than just about anyone. I'm sorry I can't make Yeroc not be completely indisposed by his girlfriend ("sarcasm on the internet"), and I can't code this myself.
It's half a time thing, half an annoyance thing.

I'm still gonna work on stuff, but like I said..... with both those codes, I could see myself getting a lot more done. The "*cough*" was because I've been hearing about solutions for the Z-button, but none of them seem to pan out...... all the false hope makes me sadface.

umm... what about having taunts do nothing and mapping taunts to the z-button?

Wait I'm confuuuused.

So this doesn't fix the glitch, it just changes the frame advance code to a different button? Won't the same problem happen (just on a different button)?

I tried D-pad down and it didn't work. :(
Did start still freeze the thing though?

umm... with unrestricted control mapping, couldn't we just map taunt to z-button and have a code that disables taunts?

What glitch may that be? I thought the whole problem was just that it was on an attack button.
The glitch is that sometimes when you frame advance, it inputs a grab (or whatever you map the Z button to be) instead of only frame advancing. So if you're trying to input a move to be tested, you get a grab instead -- or airdodge if you're in the air.

Restarting the match usually fixes it for me, but sometimes I have to restart the whole game. =\ And it happens randomly.

But it's one ninja, rule of reverse ninjutsu, multiple ninjas are mooks, a single ninja is ridiculously powerful.


Also, assuming this code works, I'll have you kidnapped at some point to teach me, I'm a military buff and love learning new methods of fighting (West Point applicant back in the day actually).

Make a tag like FMEAD or something to that effect and map Z to be taunts using the above codes. Then the action mod makes the taunt do nothing and the new action overrides it.

We need to put together all the proper codes for frame testing and host a .gct file. That way people can just grab the file and go and not worry about it.

I'll talk to Veril and we can put something together.

Despite not actually being gay for Cape, this makes me a little gay for Cape.

Don't use down-taunt, it activates visible hitbubbles and that can get annoying fast.

I mapped up taunt to the z-button (I don't have hitbubbles on BTW). If you press Z normally, it freezes in the match when you have the tag on.

The CAM code works like this:

WW = Char ID (FF = all)
XXXX = Previous action

ZZZZ = Change to action

I made it so that if you are standing and you taunt it will keep you standing. If we find any other actions that lead to an issue with this (cant think of any) then I can easily add them in.

Using these three codes you change Z to side taunt. All attacks as well as jump and sheild will outprioritize the taunt. Therefore you can input anything you want and it will work. This allows you to test everything except crouch, idle animations, and run starts. So basically it works where the other version does not. If you need to test those things I am sure we can figure something else out.

It makes complete sense, the game has a "priority" list of what takes presidence in case moves are pressed at the same time. Taunts being the lowest just works.

You just checked frame advancing, you didnt check attacks at all did you?

All the attacks will override the taunt. I just checked it myself. You just cant test movements from a standing position (crouches, run start, or whatever).

All out prioritize taunts in terms of button inputs.

Well, if the Great Veril god of the Frames so wishes it, I could do B+ stuff too. I have like three micro SDs onto which I could save various codesets. :V
Why do you need three micro SD's for different codesets?

Use Riivolution to swap between them :p

I know that they outprioritize in terms of inputs.

I'll still work with PK on changing the button that inputs it, but for now we can just roll with this and see what happens.

The other option is that you can go into every U taunt in the game in the .pac files and put a change action to standing.

Change Action = 0: Requirement = On Ground.

I sure as **** am not doing that though, but anyone that wants a perfect system is more than welcome to :-p
