Rouge squadron i have no problem with. It is the Gamecube game. It's almost as good as some Xbox 360 games. Seriously Factor 5 pushed RS:2 to the limit and this is what we got. Too bad they're gone now :(

Theory why Star Fox Adventures isn't on the list: Zelda. Star Fox Adventures is way to Zelda-y. That said its also the game where the series started its downfall. Plus Krystal nuff said.

What! Those who made this list must have been living under a rock the past years.
Actually, I would say the same to you. No offense.

While I personally enjoyed Star Fox Adventures, it is one of the most hated games for Gamecube. I'm not surprised it's not on the list.

Personally, I'm most offended by number one...as well as Metroid Prime being sixth. Resident Evil 4 is so widely praised by everyone as the best Gamecube game. Even Nintendo Power, whom you'd think would be praising a Nintendo game instead. It really irks me. While I haven't played the game, I still don't think it deserves to be declared the best game of the Gamecube. Meh. I should play it first so I can say for sure it shouldn't be the best and actually sound credible.

In case anyone wants the full list:

Dispite its "exclusivity" ***** YOU CAPCOM* It was a revolutionary Resident Evil Game. No longer are you on the defensive. Actually your on both. I mean who has the guts to assault a village full of Zombie parisi--*wait Chris Redfield? Thought he got that "Shiva" girl with him.*mumble *Fine i'll change it*I mean who has the guts to charge by them selves into a village full of Zombie Parasites and chainsaw wielding rice sack over head guys? The reaction system makes you even more alert than the 3 previous ones. Its just **** fun.

Seems like a pretty straightforward list to me and pretty much nails the major titles on the console.

Seeing the Viewtiful Joe series there, especially so high, only bugs me further about it's current status. The series itself was always a trilogy, and after 2 games Clover took a break to work on other things. At the very least though the project turned out to be Okami, which IMO surpasses the Zelda series in many ways. Still, the fact that we may never see how the Viewtiful Joe trilogy wraps up is a bit of a disappointment to me.

That being said Ikaruga is my personal #1 GC game, so epic.

I never argued against how revolutionary it was as a Resident Evil game...I couldn't even if I wanted to, since I've never played a Resident Evil game. I imagine it is revolutionary for the series. However, revolutionary for the series =/= best on the Gamecube. The Gamecube was, despite some people's complaints and lies, an AWESOME console.

WHERE THE **** IS PIKMIN SERIES!??!!?
IT'S NUMBER 14 IN THE TOP 25!!!!!

1: Never played it, not even the wii version. Currently, I'm not into the survivor genre. Will, if left 4 dead is in this category
2: lemmie get over my problems with fantasy games and I'll get into this series.
3: Melee, if I found this site earlier I'd be better at it.
4:?
5:?
6: Oh yeah, this. If this was one year ago, I'd be leaving this blank. After some time, thanks to this site, I found some boss videos of Corruption. Eventually, this got me to get the game. Metroid is known for long gaps between games, so I bought older ones, first with hunters, then with prime, then with echoes, and more recently, so that I can say that I've seen the entire series in chronological order, I dusted off corruption one more time. Good series, too bad I suck at the 2-D games more than at the 3-D ones.
7: Got it, liked it, never reached that 120 (Darn missing blue coins). Actually, the first Mario platformer I completed to complete completion was Galaxy (yes, I am not hard core)
8: ?
9: In all of Mario kart, only Double dash gave my friend (who doesn't own a Nintendo system), get a chance at winning. I drove, he controlled the items.
10: I played it once, and chose to play as Link that one time.
11: *cries*
And I don't really give a darn about the rest (except I'm getting #25 for Christmas)

ARGBLARG, WHY IS IT ALWAYS RESI 4 EIPFDS89724323747

other than that, I especially approve of Ikaruga, Killer 7, F-Zero GX, and Skies of Arcadia. Not so much rogue squadron though. Good game, but doesn't deserve to be so high. But an overall good list, though GI still sucks in general.

I bet $50 if Nintendo Puzzle Collection came out in the US it would be in the top ten on that list. But NoA is a bunch of Panel De Pon haters to make it so. Some games I think got too much praise, but I kind of agree with a lot of games up there.

Ahh Luigi's Mansion. Really fun game, but I never played it again after I beat it the first time, and the game isn't very long in the first place.

I hope they make a second one for the Wii, using the Wii's motion sensing to make catching ghosts even more fun. And they should make it a little scarier next time.

This most likely won't happen though :(

I'm unsure as to why Rogue Squadron gets so much love. Was it really that great? The hour or so I gave to it didn't exactly inspire.

I wish they'd elaborate on "Legend of Zelda series". I can't help but feel F Zero GX got robbed.

Quite a good list, otherwise!

Thing is that it becomes so Epic if your a Star Wars fan and so great if your not. Compared to the 1st and 3rd ones this game was one of the games that sold the Gamecube. The Audio was the greatest on any system at the time, seeing Factor 5 helped make the Gamecube. The sound effects from the movies where there. As i'm some what of a star wars nut, i actually could tell when a TIE was coming becuase i heard the trademarked "ARRRRRRR" coming. The Graphics can actually stand up to some Xbox 360 games today. The Fire effects where the best at the time and its amazing that the Game cube could run this kind of game.

Plus this game was made in 9 months and compared to the other games made less than a year this one looks like it was made in 1-2 years.

They do. The series is consistently stellar. It just takes a few innovations here and there to really keep it up (ex the wii control system) to keep the series thriving (namely in its dungeons and puzzles) the gamecube had two of these, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess (which is also, so far, the only wii game to get a perfect score on game informer).

I was a little sad that Paper Mario didn't make it too.

My brother is actually playing through that game again for old times sake.

Great game. :)

10. Soul Calibur II
11. Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes
12. Beyond Good & Evil
13. Animal Crossing
14. Pikmin series
15. SSX 3
16. Skies of Arcadia Legends
17. Resident Evil and Resident Evil Zero
18. F-Zero GX
19. Prince of Persia series
20. Ikaruga
21. Super Monkey Ball
22. Killer 7
23. TimeSplitters 2
24. Tales of Symphonia
25. Luigi's Mansion
Well, the list isn't too bad. I'm not an RE fan, so I disagree with that, and would put Metroid Prime there, but I'm in no place to judge. I don't know if I would have put SC II so high, but it is an awesome game. Zelda and Melee are where they should be. I might actually move Melee down a tad. Not for any lack of love, mind you, but I just think there are better games here. Also, I'm glad to see Rogue Squadron getting some serious love. It really is an awesome game.

Tales of Symphonia at #24? Yeah, right.
I'm hoping you think it should be higher, because it is an amazing game. I like it where it is, though. I'm getting a vibe that you wouldn't put it here at all, though, which is sad.

No Kirby Air Ride? :(
Because Mario Kart Double Dash and F-Zero came out the same time and gave Kirby Air Ride a hard time. A lot of people played those game and forgot how epic Kirby Air Ride was. =/

Resident Evil 4, okay I saw that coming from a mile away. 1 through 3 is placed nicely. Personally, the Metroid Primes (at least the first one) should've been number five.

No, you miss my point Charizard. All I meant was this: instead of listing the whole legend of zelda series, I wish they'd say which particular zelda was deserving of Number 3. Was it the zelda collectors disc with 1, 2, OOT and MM? Was it Wind Waker? Or was it TP?

I suppose it must be primarily Wind Waker, which is fair enough because that game rocked violently.

Darskslash, my friend's a huge star wars nut and he bought a second hand GC just for this game. So I guess you're right. You make me want to play it now, I think I'll borrow it off him.

Eternal Darkness was fun and an interesting concept (survival horror with more of a focus on melee-style combat and the whole sanity meter thing) but it was very easy and very short. I did everything there is to do in the game in a week long rental.

RE4 deserves #1, I prefer Melee but of course I'm rather biased...

And I definitely agree that the lack of Thousand Year Door is appalling.

Are you crazy? That game (Tales of Symphonia) kicks mountains of ***. Zelos Wilder currently holds one of my top favorite RPG character spots.

I'm guessing either wind waker or twilight princess. Actually, they literally mention which ones they thought were the best, wind waker and twilight princess. Considering the fact that Twilight Princess is on the Wii, My best guess is that is was more directed towards wind waker.

With the Paper Mario series being part of my all-time favorites (never played SPM), I was quite saddened that it didn't make it.
That being said, I am also a little surprised.
