When you say "videos", do you mean the first random Melee vid on Youtube by some guy who thinks he's awesome because he totally pwned a level 9 computer?

Yeah, mostly those... I attended a scrub tournament recently. It is really creepy to hear kids come up to me and brag that they can beat level 9 CPUs, and they are being dead serious. It was a new experience for me... Yeah, they all took the bottom 10 out of 100 people...

Lol, "dead serious". It's hard to believe that some people don't know about higher-level communities when it comes to fighting games.

Yeah, those guys are stupid. My video's gonna be awesome, I took on TWO lvl 9 CPU's.

I felt really out of place at that tournament. I was one of about three people there over the age of 20. The rest were like 14 and under. It was the first big scrub tournament I had ever been to. I was a bit thrown off by fighting so many Kirby players. :laugh: It felt great to just let go and 4-stock arrogant children.

What was their reaction? I'll bet at the first sign of any advanced techs they screamed "ZOMG HAX!!!11!!!"

there were some little glitches in the demo. Something with Pika causes 999% I talked to to other people who had it happen to them. Though in their case they were pika I was fox.

To be honest, when you play against opponents that scrubby, they don't even know advanced tactics are happening. One guy (about 16-years-old; towards the end of the tournament) thought his own controller was malfunctioning. He could not fathom his Sheik being beaten by a mere Young Link. :chuckle:

No way, dude! Figuring out how to cause your opponent to spring to 999 would open up a new wave of mad skillz!

Yeah, but you had to go to the special nintendo rep in the family bathroom first, he'd let you sniff some white powder and then everyone could become sheik and wavedash. Plus it made captain falcon appear in the demo, his final smash is he switches out with chuck norris

I don't thin spam can be funny..that what makes it spam, and sorry.

I like the peach update, she was the character I used second most, (next to Link) The only time I lost with her was on the stage and got second there. I hate the wiimote on it's side though, no matter how many times i used it I could never get my hands to do what I wanted. I tried to jump with 2 a lot..
