We shouldn't be fighting the stage more then the player regardless of anything.

A little luck is tolerable, but when you push it too much it really becomes a problem.

Again I have seen these stages in use in tournies in many many states. Never have I seen so many lost matches due to pictochat and japes due to the player losing to the stage

You shouldn't fight the stage yes, but you can control it to be in your favor. back in the day where norfair use to be legal i would always counter pick it because i knew for the first minuet exactly what would happen and bait them into position. i worked with the stage to help me win. and the fact that marth could easily hit through the platforms above and not get punished

You cant control spikes in pictochat from appearing out of no where. You can't control the lava from hitting someone especially in norfair. Im pretty sure the lava isn't coming in a set pattern. In norfair you are doing nothing but constantly fighting the stage, theres barely any reason to approach your oppoent, let the stage shoot you down.

Jason ( Rayku) got absolutely mutilated by the stage in a tourney match in alabama. No amounts of skill could have saved him from getting hit by the lava against mk yo.

The cps we have listed you know exactly what will happen at all times, but still could give potential advantages to some characrters. (ddd on castle siege for instance)

That was an old video. Ganon's metagame has evolved greatly once they discovered forward air, which was found late last year.

you are right, the lava is not in a set order for the whole match. first minuet is tho, that can be enough to maintain the lead.
