Abyss was aight. Is mad fun to play, I'll say that much. There really isnt a such thing as a bad Tales game imo. I could go on and on and on about how much I hate Symphonia 1 and 2, but i know it's relative to the rest of the Tales games i've played.

KoTOR is pretty ballin. I actually didnt play it, but watched my cousin play through it the year it came out (i forgot how old I was.) Sadly, I can say I wasnt missing too much by not playing it, but it was pretty interesting.

I swear to god if you say something dumb like you actually managed to play through Tos2 I'm going to stab you.
Naw its not that i like it alot, its just that i havent really been able to make myself finish it, mainly because im stuck on this boss that just ***** me. So im gonna have to start grinding and i hate doing that ****. never played Tos2 and probably wont/

I wish i could get paid for something like that. It'd be ballin. I'd definitely have to play more games, and a wider variety of games.

And lou, no johns. Although I will lie, I hit a point in ToS2 where I lost what little interest I already had in the game (I think im going to man up and finish it 2morrow. It's been sittin around since the week it came out).

I will say, unbiasedly, that if you did like ToS1, ToS2 does have some interesting tidbits to it.

Im strange like that. I hate grinding, puts me to sleep

dogy-from what everyone says about tos2, it doesnt seem worth it to me. I liked tos1 a lot and dont want to have my image of the game ruined by tos2

fail. actually, i beat the optional boss in Golden Sun 2 (whatever his name is) at lvl 30-something. was hard as ****, but i did it.
I don't think thats possible o.o
But Rayku would prolly know more about it than I would so he could tell you better than I.

Dullahan was a *****.
I remember I went to him in late 40s and got *****, and then came back mid 50s and beat him.

Good Times middle school days :/

Wait wait. You like grinding? And you want a game that's about 20+ hours? Etrian Odyssey for DS.

HAVE FUN.

-evil grin-
IDK if i like the sound of that or not lol

oh it was possible. i had to keep summoning/healing like a ***** but i beat him. if i had to do it again i would probably grind till i was over lvl 60 and THEN go kill him. but it is definitely possible. not fun, but possible.

most of my attempts ended with me turning the gameboy off. i could almost stand the one hit kills, but the sealing the djinn was just annoying as ****.

Same. I think he might've brought me to tears he was so difficult lmao. You got Iris from him right? It was so worth it!
Same with Lorelei from pokemon red/blue. Lapras kept freezing my pokemon and my goal back then was to get through the game w/o using any potions or cures.

Speaking of: Etrian Odyssey or Pokemon Platnium...
I might have to sleep on this one

i was going through to get all of the summons before i beat the game. Iris was totally worth it.

and i may have been a little off on my levels. i think my lowest was 38-39 and my highest was 42-42, so still surprisingly low for the level of difficulty.

FrozenPopo, beating Dullahan at level 32 is not difficult at all. Just get all the djinn (which you have to do in order to get to Dullahan in the first place) and you're fine. Seriously. You only lose 4 people, too. 6 at max.

Try beating him legitimately at level 57. That was difficult. Then try beating him twice in the Colosseum legitimately (I can't do it at level 99. I can only beat him once with his 8,000 HP boost to 24,500 HP. Bull****)

Why is he harder at 57 than at 32? o.o

its not that he gets harder, its the manner in which you fight him. Rayku fought him 'legitimately' which i guess means no summons. i, on the other hand, don't give a **** about 'legitimate' if it means i can get something out of it.
Rayku, define Legitimately please.

And also, your post count was 699 and mine was 969 :D

No, I used summons. I just didn't set all my djinn at the start and used them all to deal mass amounts of damage. I started out with the highest stats I could attain, and went from there.

Basically, it's just a really easy method to beat him by using all your summons at once, letting your first 4 members die off, and using the next 4 afterwards. At level 57, it's actually a pretty low level (57 was the level I originally beat him at) to fight him legitimately.

Grandia was fun. I got kinda bent over it when I got screwed over halfway through the game. (Yeah, I didnt see that plottwist coming, kinda wrecked my party).

I never played II. I hear it's the best of the series.

III is very **** fun IMO, but the story goes from being kool to so ****ing textbook that it kills the game.

On a boat.
Try Disgaea. It's like a mix of Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Tactics.

And if you like anime, it's a bonus, because it's in an Anime Style, and is REALLY FRICKING HILARIOUS.

What other games have peg-legged penguins with devil wings that carry bombs, knives, and that explode when you throw them? NOT MANY.

super mario rpg is pretty cool
This.. +10 points to you sir!

Lol scrub! buy a dreamcast and play some GRANDIA ****ING 2!

@dyno: dude **** fox just play falco. Pillar combos look 10x as cool and are way easier to do. I can shine ->dair someone at 300 percent.
its rather hard to learn this kind of stuff on your own, i tryed doing the pillar stuff, and falco is one of the characters ide like to learn, but samus first :) and i was thinking marth, but roy.. what can i say he's my boy? idk more fun to play. control is really hard for me comming from brawl, if you are going to come on the 2nd or the 16th after the brawl tourny ide like to play some melee and learn some stuff. comps makes my flame at the end of my tail burn out :005: with all the jab> jab> dodge> jab jab jab jab jab jab jab.... so lame :( but yeah melee.. ill play it for funs and MMs (once i get the hang of it)

Star Ocean is pretty fun. The one I've played, the cut-scenes were kinda lame, but it had an addicting battle system and story.

Plus, it was 4 disk long.

**** this thread exploded since I went to work last night.

Quiz, I got this:

"Marth
You should main Marth. She's got a sword, she's quick, she does everything pretty well. Up-b out of shield. No one can stop it."

Also did someone mention Golden Sun?
Apparently nobody has recognized my avatar and realized how much of a brawl-lover I'd have been if Isaac or Felix was a character in brawl.

I'd forsake melee in a hearbeat.

Wow. That's officially the WORST description of Disgaea i've ever heard. XD

If you mean a mix of FE and FFT in it's a sRPG, then I guess you could say that. But beyond that? Lol.

-continues laughing hysterically-
That's like trying to say brawl is like a mix of Tekken 6 and Melty Blood... act cadenza just so there are no guard breaks. XD

We're all still waiting on a third game.
