I believe with Fatman, He said that Steve and Sephiroth were names that were thrown around, but It seemed, at least with Fatman's Predictions, that Geno and Master Chief with Stronger hearings and more evidence

Yet it was Steve and Sephiroth that got in

And I Remember Fatman was talking about Waluigi being CP6, but it was Min-Min that was 1st Party Character

So Crash, Dante, and Lloyd were his Predictions? Could they be Leakbait to bait to leaking them

How Strong are those "Mii Costume Guy Deconfirm" that had Characters like Cuphead, 2B, KOS-MOS, Mrs.PAC-MAN, Gooligi, Elec Man, and stuff like that

It seems like the SNK thing could theoretically happen again regardless of how much they have things locked down since it was just a first-party oversight. Like when Bloody Tears sort of leaked.

"Enix", or "Square", the fact is that they are one right now, "Square Enix", it wouldn't be out of place if Geno was alongside Hero, because Geno has nothing to do with Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest to begin with, he is a Mario character, not a FF character.

Releasing Geno's mii costume alongside Hero is not "special treatment" at all, it's called: respect.

From the person who said it was cruel of Nintendo and Square when this is exactly how the costumes have largely functioned this entire time. It's completely typical for the character to come with the company.

Which implies it shouldn't have functioned like that in this instance, when the other times it's been fine.

No, it wouldn't have been unfathomable for Geno to come with the Enix side of the SE content, but considering no other Square content did, and the reality will likely see the Square content come now, this outcome makes complete sense from the perspective of someone impartial.

It's cruel because they could have ended this long ago, 1 year and a half ago, but instead they left us waiting and having false hopes.

One of the big talking points about Geno and chocobo being held off was that it pointed toward another Square Character. Remember that Around June was stated to be the point FP2 was Fully Greenlit. It's possible if Hero was First character instead we might have gotten Geno and Chocobo there instead, but instead they were held off for Sephiroth

Meh can't see the cruelty in this. Overall not every character is gonna make it regardless, and as far as patterns go, mii costumes returning have been a pretty consistent trend. In that regard, the geno costume isn't being treated any different from other wanted characters owned by other companies. Many people wanted Zero, X, Heiachi, Lloyd(who apparently still hasn't shown up?), etc. Even Heiachi was mentioned by Sakurai as a highly requested character, and he got costumed kind of late in the pass.
Just how it is.

Overall,
I do think Geno has a chance, and even if his mii costume returns there is always a chance that a pattern will be broken as a result of his future inclusion. Unlikely sure, but not impossible.
If anything, I could see SMRPG getting special attention in terms of a few costumes and a spirit event alongside Geno's costume. However, I don't think anything super grand is planned for the series.

Also Fatmanonice I know you've mentioned SMRPG is still missing from the Snes library, but I dont think any square related games are on there, so in your opinion is it really an omission that is worth considering as evidence? ( I could be wrong about whats currently in the library though, been awhile since Ive opened my switch)

Other than that though, Out of the most wanted characters are Geno and Shadow and with one deconfirmed I'm pulling full stonks on Geno, even though his chances has been hit recently due to Sephiroth( Which I am happy for. More FF content and More villains which I have been wanting for) but you guys had some loopholes for Geno possibly being in so why not join in to again some knowledge

That's fair but it's probably more about the third-parties being less amenable to the likely flat rate of base compared to the backend of DLC considering all the past Nintendo costumes were in base, even the ones that were paid last time.

Case in point, while Square bafflingly refused to put any of their games onto the Wii U Virtual Console in North America, Super Mario RPG was one of the few exceptions, and it was the LAST SNES game added to the service here.

Man, I just hate this logic. I absolutely understand that mii costumes can be disappointing, but to say Nintendo doesn’t gives a **** about the character when they have to spend time and resources obtaining the liscense and creating a unique model for Geno... it’s sad but mii costumes are a nice gesture for characters who wouldn’t make it otherwise. They aren’t meant to be a negative thing...

Them truly not caring about Geno would be if even his Mii Costume gets cut entirely. I think we’ll be seeing it on Thursday. And I even think Sakurai will address Geno fans directly and give his condolences, because he cares. (And that’s what he did in Smash 4)

Specifically on the topic of Geno. For example, MCG correctly knowing Banjo's costumes, Terry's spirits, and Byleth's ALTs but ultimately being wrong about the Mallow and Smithy hats would be pretty wild. As far as I know there's nobody that specifically talks to just me either so this would be an L for a very wide network because this isn't stuff from one guy or being told to one person. It's a network of people whose information checks out with other people in the network.

Didn’t the Mii Costume Guy list Terry’s spirits as if they were Mii Costumes? And Byleth’s alts as Mii Costumes? No offense, but I’ve never really bought this justification. And as far as I can remember, he didn’t even list out the whole spirit board for Terry. That to me indicates that it was intended as a mii costume list.

Otherwise, why would they have even given him the costume and spirit in the first place?
