It's not really Tetris, if you watch you connect three in a row of the same shape or more, and you can move them AFTER they've landed, plus when you get enough blocks cleared, it sends a gigantic block to the opponent's screen. Basically, you're attacking with blocks that fall like in Tetris, hence the name Tetris Attack. It's even more fun when you go against someone else.

Sounds something like Pokemon Puzzle League.

Actually Pokemon Puzzle League is a remake of Tetris Attack, which in itself is a remake of Panel de Pon. (The game Lip came from)

I bought Super Mario Bros. off of the VC a few days ago.

World 8-3 made me cry.

But then I learned to hold the Control Stick and B Button together. From there, it was a cinch.



...until I got hit by a Cheep Cheep out of nowhere in World 8-4 on my last life.

Yeah, 8-3 is the hardest level in the game, if you're Small Mario at the start you're practically screwed by the Hammer Bros . . . .

I am finally replaying SMRPG! Are there any tips I need before I really get into this game?

Make sure to get the first frog coin. You can only get it in the intro and you need to have good timing to get it due to Mario having to stand on a Toad that only moves by it ONCE ever, after that you're screwed.

Yeah, you get it from Knife Guy, then you have to find a golden Chomp in Bean Valley, defeat it, then jump three times, you'll be able to see what you do next after you've done so.

I was on Youtube and eventually I ended up navigating into M&S at the olympic winter games music, I never really listened to them so I decided to give it a shot.

Most of the tracks are just remixes of other Mario songs but god**** they're some of the best tracks in the Mario series because they did it so well.

Why did that game have to get them.

I had a fantastic day today. Phase was freaking awesome. I got to meet some awesome people. And best of all, the store that hosted Phase had Super Mario Lands 1 and 2 and PM:TTYD for sale for a combined total of around 40 dollars. Picked that up in a heartbeat.

Just awesome.

The place Phase is typically held at, FX Game Exchange. They have games ranging from the current consoles, to the old NES and Genesis, and even has games from Intellivision, Game Gear, and even the PSX and old Atari.

And I had only bought one of each game. If I remember right, there were 5 more copies of SML1, and 2 of SML2.

I'd pick up that game. I would like something like SMRPG, but not a sequel or a port with extras. Looking at you FFIV!!

Peach is also no where to be seen as Bowser rules the kingdom with an Iron fist. Koopalings and all sorts of minions ravage the cloudy, dark outside as the Toads are forced to live underground. The choice between those outside, and monty moles was difficult, but less casua...

Okay. i'll stop there. That's the game I envision, but will never see it, unless someone is willing to develop it.

While I agree, I don't see this happening, I wish it would. This reminds me of the TV show Sonic SAT AM. Heard of it? IIRC, it took place where Robotnik had already taken over everything, and Sonic and his gang were trying to mess it up and change it back (Hope I'm accurate enough).

That was a TV show but man, I'd love to see a Mario game do something like that. Bowser take over everything (or some new villain) and Mario does his best to work with the situation. It's a great idea, Nintendo just has to take the risk.
