Ah Mario.
In Super Mario RPG, I'm at Queen Valentina.
In Superstar Saga, I'm against that tree thing after you guide Peach through the desert. It's annoying as hell :V

SMRPG = amazing game. Did you sell the seed to get the lazy shell? I hope you didnt :)

M&L: SS = amazing as well. Just make sure you aren't underleveled and the bosses aren't too hard. Fighting every thing you see is a good strategy, especially since you can dodge in that game.

I highly recommend playing SS, it's the best one imo. (but i haven't played the third yet, so it might change)

Bowser's Inside Story>>>Superstar Saga>Partners in Time

Bowser's Inside Story is way better than the first two. And I loved Superstar Saga and Partners in Time.

I just got Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.

I cannot put this game down, I love it. All of the M&L games are so good.

On The Move....
I'll say Super Star Saga is the best, but not by far, all of the Mario & Luigi titles are close to me.

Super Star Saga

Pros:

+ Fun mini games
+ Epic Bros Attacks
+ Unique enemies and bosses
+ Longest Title to beat (30 hours or more for the first try)
+ Luigi bringing the most lulz
+ Return of the Koopalings
+ Most solo attacks out of the three if your running out of BP there's a little more useful ways to attack

Cons:

- Battle System
- Map is the weakest over the three titles
- Rely on the most amount of solo bro on some missions which can mess with the exp if you want Mario and Luigi being on the same level

Partners In Time

Pros:

+ Toughest enemies and bosses over the three titles
+ Improvement with the battle system, (like performing more damage with the big and little bro)
+ Return of Petey Piranha in a good way
+ Improvement on items usage including in battle

Cons:

- Missions are pretty straight forward, (example, for missions you go to a time portal to the past, to learn new tricks/refresh you go to the present)
- Battle system is more easier to not die, (example if Mario or Luigi where to lose all their HP, the babies take over, since the babies have very high speed, they can revive their falling ones with the 1up Mushroom easily)
- Shortest title to beat, (due to less puzzles of the three)

Bowser's Inside Story

Pros:

+ Best story of the three
+ Best battle system of the three
+ Fawful's revenge.... in a big way
+ Bowser get's a major roll instead of a regular roll
+ Best final battle music of the three
+ Best Map out of the three

Cons:

- Easiest final boss of the three
- Mario and Luigi doesn't get to be the best stars since Bowser mostly took over
- Puzzle take up the most time out of the three

That's my thoughts.

Then I suppose you could call it Bowser RPG: Featuring Mario and Luigi, um right? Anyway Bowser needs his own game, like Koopas vs Subcon or something.

@Sleepy God

You forgot to include The Gauntlet on your list of Pros for BIS.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't really consider it being mainly Bowser a bad thing, I was waiting for his time to shine, though I hoped it would be his own game, this is close enough :)
Nah, its not just you. Just about every main character has had a game and I'm pretty sure BIS is the closest were going to get to bowser having his own.

Have any of you guys heard the "official" club remixes of Mario Kart 64?

I've been listening to them the past couple of weeks and they are just an awesome fusion of jazz, techno, funk, and sound effects taken directly from MK64 itself.

Are you using gear? if not, then you should. Gear and badges can help you out lots in m&lss.

This interests me, where may I find this?

Also last night I tried to play Super Mario Sunshine. I think I'm one of the only people I know who really doesn't like the game at all.

I think I figured out why I don't like it.

The story itself is a little, iffy. I find it odd that you show up and there's a blue man impersonating you by wrecking Isle Delfino and somehow they say you're to blame just as you land on the island for the first time. Not to mention you go to court and when Princess Peach and Toadsworth try to object the Judge doesn't even let them speak (I think). Though I suppose I'm being too realistic, this is a Mario game!

Then, I realize you don't get to use a lot the basic moves you did in Super Mario 64, like punching for starters. Okay, so you can kick fruit around, big deal. FLUDD is a nice new concept but I think you should have been able to punch and actually kick like you did in the last Mario leading up to this one.

THEN you have poor Yoshi who dies when he touches water. What's up with that...? Mario doesn't die when he touches it. Yoshi could swim in Super Mario 64 and Yoshi's Story.

Basically (sorry for the long post) I find this plot weird and the controls could be better. It's the only Mario game I own where I beat it and didn't really feel like getting the rest of the stars, though I did.

Man, the GameCube just loved to try out new things, didn't it?

I didn't pay much mind to the story, though it did seem far fetched =P
I think it was a fun game, but the one thing I hated most about was Bowser's voice -__________-

Seriously! He sounded lame!

Why did Bowser even have a voice? He doesn't in any other Mario game I know of. He just makes grumble noises and groans.

IMO I found it very fun, there was a lot of things to do even if it was just jetting through the water or belly sliding around town =P
Defnatly not the best Mario game, but not the worst.
When it come's to the Mario Platformings, Sunshine is the worst. =P

Though, Sunshine was never bad, it just didn't stand up to the rest of the Mario Platforming.

Yeah, it was, but I don't think Sunshine was that far off, I wish they made it a little longer though.

@Yink: Normally they have subtitles, I hope if they give him a voice it isn't like that or like the cartoon.

On the subject of Bowser, it saddens me that people don't take him as seriously nowadays T_T

If people want to take him seriously, he needs to look SCARY, not cuddly like he does now.

Maybe make him look something like this:

It wasn't, as you said, just a little off. =3
That's an opinion.

Bowser with a speaking voice only works for select phrases.

Like in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.

How ****** would that be if you could hack Brawl's audio, when Bowser comes through the flames at the beginning of a battle going, "Showtime!"

@Viper:I actually highly enjoyed that game, I think it was just mainly FLUDD though, I highly enjoyed zooming around the water as FLUDD or sliding all around town, I think most of that game had me running around the town instead of actually doing something xD

@Yink: I don't mean just scary, I highly enjoy the funny not-so-serious Bowser, I just wish he would stop being treated as a joke T_T
Being out in the same rank as Wart >.>
Don't get me wrong, I like Wart but....Wart >_>

Look up "Mario Kart 64 on Club Circuit" on Youtube. Some guy named "MatzeSuperMario" has all of the tracks from the album.

It's based on the Japanese version of Mario Kart 64 though so:

-The announcer isn't Mario, it sounds like a real race announcer
-Toad, Peach, Wario, and Luigi sound different
-Obake = Boo = Banshee Boardwalk, all of the others songs listed are recognizable in origin.

My favorite is this one.

Wow, I really like it! I'm going to listen to all of them if I have time.

Also Uber, I wish you had AIM, you seem like a good person to talk Mario to. C:

Thanks!

I don't have America Online, so maybe we could use something else? (preferablly something that you don't have to register for?)

BTW, have we ever brawled together?

Please tell me if someone does. I'd secondary Bowser for that reason alone. Also if you can alter his audio to be the voice of Super Mario Galaxy/Bowser's Inside Story.

Bowser's Victory Pose, the one where he just bulks himself and roars upward. "I RULE!!"

That track was insane with a mushroom, you could (literally) fly over half of the track using one.

I'm so sorry, but:
1. I've never taken Bowser seriously; he's never surprised me, or scared me, or whatever else. I like bosses/antagonists that give me some kind of emotion... Say Giygas (Earthbound), who made me fearful. Even Fawful made me laugh when I was younger.
2. Bowser is somewhat wimpy in the Super Paper Mario franchise.

I didn't mean that super scared of Bowser, I don't think any video game character did that to me =P (especially since I don't play horror games) just for people not to take him as a joke.
I actually really like the not so serious Bowser, he makes me lol xD that's why I also <3 him as a partner, I wouldn't like a boss that makes me laugh though =/ A good thing that never happenend

I wouldn't say Bowser was wimpy at all in Super Paper Mario, he did act wimpy before once or twice, like in SMRPG, but I never thought he acted wimpy.

Then what do you mean by 'never taken seriously'?

I wouldn't say Bowser was wimpy at all in Super Paper Mario, he did act wimpy before once or twice, like in SMRPG, but I never thought he acted wimpy.
Well, he hides behind his massive and useless armies because he's afraid of a plumber.
I know Mario isn't just a plumber though, because he's also a doctor/tennis player/golf player/cook/etc. etc.
At least Fawful goes right ahead and fights Mario (even though Fawful is considered insane), along with the Shadow Queen, Cackletta, and almost every other villain excluding Bowser.
Mario always has to go through multiple levels, and even defeat Bowser's son numerous times before he can get to Bowser. When he does get to Bowser, he's easier to defeat than his son in some cases.
