The Spider Gang and the Floor Masters have served their purpose. To start with, the Spider Gang was put into the plot line to serve as the antagonists highlighting Kurapika's past and were used as a story telling device in the Chimera Ant Arc to serve as a power comparison between how powerful they were in comparison to the ants. This is to establish continuity when they are reintroduced because they are being 'saved' as a future plot device further down the line. Most likely involving Killua's family given is brother on the team.Switching goals for gon seems so meh, we've been in this huge adventure to FIND the man. I almost want to say that the series could have ended after he met his father and it would have been an OK ending. At the same time, we have this giant world full of interesting people and creatures. It would be a shame not to explore it. There are still a lot of plots that have yet to be resolved. The phantom troupe still exists, killua's brother and hisoka are still there. I want a zoldyck showdown. There are still the floor masters in heaven's arena that haven't been shown yet.(hisoka met the requirements to challenge them) Feintan is my favorite phantom troupe member. Reminds me of levi.... Goddammit......
Homoerotic Swimmers 2 starts up in July. The hype is real. And don't worry, my favorite cartoon is also Madoka, but I don't like talking about it because it's something of a controversial show. The people who like it are obnoxiously vocal and the people who hate it are just as bad. My next favorite anime is probably Attack on Titan with Shingeki no Kyojin not far behind. I also like AoT. Oh, and who could forget Ro-Kyu-Bu!?I wasn't really interested in any of the recent anime this season... when does season 2 of Swimming Anime start up? anyone know?
also, Madoka is my all-time favorite show and i'm sad no posts about it came up in the search :G
Hisoka isn't a floor master. He beat gon and got a chance to fight them, but beyond that nothing is know. (To my knowledge). The Floor Masters in the tower are most likely a killed concept, one of them might reappear as a side character with that as a backstory. When Hisoka had been identified as being one of the top masters in the tower, the tower served its purpose to establish just how powerful Hisoka is in the Hunter x Hunter universe i.e. this is Hisoka he can easily dispatch a master of similar 'class.'
Also with respect to the Hunter x Hunter world being 'giant' and having 'creatures' and 'people' you fail to realize that the author has restricted himself by accelerating the growth of his characters past the level where the 'creatures' or most human opponents that aren't affiliated with some notorious group can easily be dispatched by Gon and Killua. Hence a large reason why the author invented concepts like Greed Island: an exclusive island for hunters to hone their skills & Chimera Ant Arc: chimeras are the most genetically advanced fighting creatures & New World Arc: new world entirely filled with things can could potentially kill the hunters that arrive there.
When you have a big series like Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece it's very hard just to end a series. Even Jojo wasn't originally intended to go past Stardust Crusaders and look where we are now. I already see this new arc as being an attempt to kick start the series all over again, however it can't do that without introducing a completely new cast of characters. What we'll get is a 'new world' to give us mystery and suspense, however beyond that we've come to the bottom of the magic hat and I wouldn't be surprised if this manga starts to pander like you know... Naruto and Bleach.
Nice to see you here. I check this thread sometimes too.Hiya all! I just thought I'd drop in here for a while.
I started the second season of Death Note recently... It's still interesting, but that opening theme really turns me off...![]()
Thanks! I'll try to stick around.Nice to see you here. I check this thread sometimes too.
And I didn't like Death Note's 2nd OP either. The first was much better.
I will not spoil the plot! Thanks! I'll try to stick around.
Agreed. While it wasn't my favorite opening theme, the Japanese screaming is really unfitting. I mean, the show is dark with it's themes, but most of the time the story takes a more intelligent turn. Seeing L and Light battle it out in a game of whits, life and death was what got me into the show.
Ty kindly for the welcome.I will not spoil the plot!
Nice to see ya! Death Note is in my favorites list.it was once my favorite.
Sweet, D-Frag! is one of those shows that I liked more in retrospect. I liked the earlier episodes a lot. The recurring gags were pretty funny, they never got rid of the porn mags in space game. A shame it sold so poorly, a season two doesn't seem likely.Just finished D-frag! It was pretty good overall. I'd give it an 8/10 because it was a really great comedy, but some of the characters lacked development and the pacing could've been a tad bit better.
Magi is great.
My favorite list-
1.Blue Exorcist
2.Attack On Titan
3.Death Note
4. Hunter x Hunter
5.Soul Eater
I'm going to place magi when I go on further in it. I know it is gonna knock Soul Eater out of my top five.
Magi is great, it's a shame the second season was so poorly paced.Magi is great.

So much homogay shounenNice list, mate. Here's mine.
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica
Hidamari Sketch x Hoshimittsu
Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World
Non Non Biyori
Hunter x Hunter (2011)
It's always been a tossup for the third and fourth slots. I think I had Tatami Galaxy, So Ra No Wo To, Monogatari, Saki, JoJo, and Girls und Panzer all in there at one point or another.
I've noticed. It may not be today, but some day you'll be yearning for something more. You'll have exhausted all possible alternatives and you'll settle for K-On!. Once that happens, it won't feel right unless there's school girls doing mundane, every day activities. Most of my favorites are action Oriented.I like me a good fight.
I'm actually nervous for attack on titan's next chapter. If levi dies, I swear to god I will call ultimate bull**** and drop the series instantly.
I can't believe I've been waiting for a month already. It hadn't felt like it. Thank HXH for taking up my time :D
I get what you mean. I always skipped that opening. lolThanks! I'll try to stick around.

For that series, the manga is better. The anime never gets into the more interesting parts of the story and diverges from the source material too early. (Have I ever mentioned how I don't like when they do that sort of thing?)Btw, I've been watching Blue Exorcist. Solid animation and great voicework* (seriously, I love the delivery of the lines), but it is boring me to tears. Plot's plodding and predictable. The characters aren't exactly memorable or, in the case of Rin, likeable.
To be honest, that's a stupid reason to drop a series.I'm actually nervous for attack on titan's next chapter. If levi dies, I swear to god I will call ultimate bull**** and drop the series instantly.
I always skip the opening too.I get what you mean. I always skipped that opening. lol
The series gets really intense with all those crazy plans, the whole battle of wits and never knowing what happens next. One of my favorites.
Light's character development is also one of its strongest points.
stupid that they might give one of the best characters in the series a bullcrap death? They've made him out to be so strong and unbeatable. If just anything runs up and kills him, it would be so annoying. Plus if levi can't kill it, nobody can. (Not to mention if levi does, I'll only have one character I like, Jean. He will probably get killed by what killed levi.I get what you mean. I always skipped that opening. lol

Also, that flashy signature... o_O
To be honest, that's a stupid reason to drop a series.
Anyway, the last anime I've watched was Durarara!!, which I liked, even though its plot is kind of hard to follow at first, but gets quite interesting at the end.
Episode 13-15 is the peak of the anime. After that is were they broke from the manga.Btw, I've been watching Blue Exorcist. *Subbed. Don't even wanna touch the dub.

So, your logic is, if my favorite character dies, the series is ruined forever? Yeah, that's stupid.stupid that they might give one of the best characters in the series a bullcrap death? It will be on Crunchyroll on Monday. Check there, since it has better image quality and better translation too. What's with that attack on titan chapter. 10 pages? Please tells we have an incompetent scanlator. If that's all I'm gonna get after waiting a month, I might as well drop the series and wait a couple years for it to finish and then finishing it.
They've made levi out levi to be so amazing, for him to die would mean everything is hopeless, because if LEvi can't do it, nobody can.(Mikasa might)So, your logic is, if my favorite character dies, the series is ruined forever? Yeah, that's stupid.
You're not forgetting the guy Levi is fighting against is the same guy who trained him, are you? It's not like his death would be unbelievable from a storytelling point...
I mean, if he was killed completely randomly, I'd agree it would be stupid, but given the scenario, it's a possibility.

Military police is made of elite training corps members that are in the top ten of their class....what? You don't think the guy that trained him doesn't have combat experience under his belt? He ****ing trained him. That usually implies experience in the field.

"Know how to kill people". They have 3DMG with guns. The range gives them a distinct advantage, and it takes no skill to hit a target that isn't moving from the relatively short range they were fighting from. These guys aren't just MPs, bro. They're the equivalent of this setting's black ops. They may not fight Titans, but they sure as hell know to kill people efficiently enough, as you can clearly see from them dismantling Levi's recon.
Try again.
Smooth Criminal
I've shot guns before, there wasn't that much distance, and they were hitting big targets."No skill?" Are you serious? Have you ever shot a gun befo---
Y'know what, nevermind. This isn't going anywhere.
Smooth Criminal
You're implying a trained soldier cannot shoot a human and lacks accuracy when firing a weapon? Seriously?I've shot guns before, there wasn't that much distance, and they were hitting big targets.
Those "trained soldiers" have yet to hit levi, so I have every right to say that they cannot shoot a human and lack accuracy. You're implying a trained soldier cannot shoot a human and lacks accuracy when firing a weapon? Seriously?
Levi is armed with two swords and 3D maneuvering gear, while the other guys have guns instead of swords. The other guys outnumber Levi. Plus, one of the guys is the one who actually trained Levi, meaning he's more experienced than Levi is. The obvious conclusion is that Levi is at a disadvantage here.
Levi may have fought Titans and survived many times, but the other guys are pretty much on the same skill level as him (if not higher).
That's insane logic. Those "trained soldiers" have yet to hit levi, so I have every right to say that they cannot shoot a human and lack accuracy.
*realizes you haven't read the 8 pages of chap 58*That's insane logic.
Just because they haven't shot him yet doesn't mean they will never shoot him.
Well excuse me, princess!*rolls his eyes.*
I hope Levi gets capped right in the dome. That way I don't have to listen to you pole-jocking this series anymore.
