I got a code yesterday from expertzone. My judgement so far: The game is amazingly well done, but the gameplay is too simple right now. All the weapons need a power decrease because it feels like I'm playing CoD. Mantle kicking needs to go, because it ruins the idea of being in cover, and makes approaching someone in cover impossible. The sawed-off makes the regular shotgun pointless, because the sawed-off will win pretty much any close-quarters fight, and the fact that it has a long reload time and only 4 shots doesn't matter right now because in most situations where you would meet more than 1 person you'de die with any weapon because the damage is so high. Wallbouncing is almost useless because weapons do too much damage. The retro-lancer has ridiculous damage (even compared to the already ridiculous damage of everything else) and the bayonett charge can be used very actively, much more practical than a chainsaw.

Judging by their actions on GoW2, they'll listen to fans and take 9 months to fix it and then make the weapons stronger in their last update.

The stun is rarely even noticable. It's not nearly as impacting as it was in gears 2

Fuel, I'm not exagerating, it took them to TU5 to completely remove the stun. 9 months. Fans hated the stun within half an hour of playing.
Stun on Inks I don't mind though, you only get 1 and you don't spawn with it.

By the looks of this footage they've reduced the spawn shield, which is just going to lead to more spawn frags. Hopefully it's not been reduced but it sure as hell looked like it there.
And by the looks of this they made it that if you get tagged with a smoke you get downed.

Melee got nerfed. Two piece is ****, along with just meleeing. It's as if they lowered the range or something? I'm not quite sure what it is, but it's really bad.
Nades got hit hard also, you can seriously run up to planted frag, kiss it and listen to the beep then roll away. Boom got nerfed also, but it's more like gow1 boom, +1 shot though.

And man, I just saw that Inside Xbox vid they have on the marketplace on GoW3. The Gnasher looks broken if you can blind fire and not even have to be aiming at them to kill them, the Retro Lancer does not look as bad as everyone is making it out to be since you should be easily be able to counter that with a shotgun, the One Shot looks beast, the fact that you can now take someone down by just blindifiring with a Lancer easily is lol, and the fact that we now have dedicated servers is success
Also, pumped as hell to be playing Anya.

and wtf now you can literally beat the crap out of someone before you execute them? Talk about insult to injury. You can literally rip someone's arm off and hit them with it wtf? O_O

@ the person with kanji-- The retro is CRAZY up close. Honestly, i think retro beats gnasher. Gnasher is perfect right now though, it's actually reliable. Long range is still incredibly important in this game, but shotgun does what it's supposed to do. Same thing with the sniper, it's ****ing amazing. Shooting someone in the head results in a "headshot" not just a bloody nose (gow2) If they just copy and pasted the beta onto the retail I think this would be the best game ever crafted.
@TRG-- Yeah i know, as epic said in that video they made.. gow3 has been "polished" I really haven't found anything bad to say about Gow3 except little glitches, which I'm positive they'll fix.
Randomly on trenches you'll be unable to pick up ammo that's dropped, the weapon will just fall into the ground.
Oh and I was playing ranked last night, we were Cog and someone on the locust team was playing as thrash ball cole...
Sawed off and retro are just really annoying, not over powered though. If they get nerfed they'll be complete garbage imo :|

Ah, I dunno. One day at a smash tournament I lost like 20 matches in a row. Being angry, I picked up one of my worst characters, peach, and won. My friend said "OH GOD PEACH IS INVADING" and since then, I've been making avatars of the peach invasion.
On topic, I've been watching a friend play, and the Gnasher looks exactly like it should. The hammerburst downs really fast by the looks of it though. The Lancer charge doesn't look overpowered like I thought, either.
