GAN-BANG!

I'm looking to get a GAN-BANG together for tonight. That is, 4 ganons on WiFi destroying everything in sight. FFA as well as maybe a 2v2 if we see some potentially balanced teams.

My reasoning is two fold: 1) this will be awesome 2) I've gained a lot from every ganon I've dittoed, and I think that seeing 3 people's ganon's at the same time would help compare fighting styles.

I need three other people. I'll be home from work around 9, and I'm looking to start this around 930 or 945 eastern time.

I want to see a few things during this match. First, I want to see at least one "flight of ganon" (see japanandorf thread for more info). I also want to see people doing the infinite second jump recovery. Obviously, lag could greatly hinder these two goals, so if it's not possible, toss those ideas aside and just ****. My hope is that with 4 people we might have better odds to see these new techs.

Fight amongst yourselves for the last 3 spots. I'll post when I'm home from work. Add my brawl fc as I will be the one organizing the room. I'll add the 3 opponents when I'm home.

I'll be joining this little FFA, hyper. I've been wanting to Brawl you anyways, and I can do the Superjump almost consistently now. FC is where FC's usually are.

On another note, I'll later be uploading some vids of me vs. A2Z and my superjump vid.

Well, looks like it's coming up on time for the matches. I'll be on soon. As it turns out, I have no idea how to put replays onto Youtube from an SD card. Any help here?

Okay, let's try this again.
GAN-BANG!

Tomorrow at around 730 anyone? Earlier is better so I don't loose my Friday night to smashing. Also...I'm taking dark ganon colors.

That's alright with me, since I'll be taking Old Manondorf.

Still....I'd quite like to be able to play you now, hyper. I've been waiting all this time, and I want to at least get my *** handed to me to show I did it for something.

Sorry homie, I'd love to do some singles, but I'm off to bed soon (Me be a workin' boy now all grown up like daddy!). I don't want to force a few matches when I'm a beat and my head is elsewhere - like the flight of ganon tech - you know? You deserve better, and you'll get it.

Good matches. I played like garbage, but what are you gonna do? Some days you're on, and others you're off. Sorry if I disapointed after all the waiting. I've noticed my Ganon has rusted over significantly in the last 2 days because all I've been trying to do is Fly.

You've got great spacing and your control over the general mental aspect of the game was frustrating, to say the least. Several times I valiantly committed suicide with a warlock punch or a wiz kick to communicate to you that I was impressed...I wonder if that got across or not.

Was the lag bad on your end too?

Nah, I understand having an off day totally. I, for one, actually seem to do better when facing people from here on Smashboards than the people I usually face. I suppose it's because I've got a unique playstyle. Meh.

As for my skills, I've noticed that what I do best is understand exactly what my opponent tends to do, and then chase them all over the place. But I know that I need to improve. For example, I roll everywhere, all the time, and I always get punished for it. I also couldn't counter your ledgestall, and even got punished for trying several times. However, I can also detect that tendency in others, and so I use the dsmash to it's full effectiveness, as you saw. As for predicting what you do.........I face people who use MK, the ICs, and R.O.B. on a regular basis. I wouldn't even be able to survive a little bit if I couldn't predict at all. But mostly I just chase people everywhere, which is why I despise FD. And yes, I noticed you suiciding, especially on that one match that lasted less than one minute. I saved that match, it was so hilarious.

Yeah, I tend to lag quite a bit, but the lag we had was actually rather small compared to what I usually get. It's only bad lag for me when the screen tends to start lagging instead of just the buttons. Or if the buttons were incredibly laggy. But they weren't, at least, not this time.

Good games, dude.

That's cool man. Yes, everyone listen up...SaltyKracka has actually figured out how to exploit the dsmash. He caught me a lot in my rolling animation with the second kick. Nicely done.

On my wii, the connection with you came up as red (the worst). The lag was about a half a second. In general, if the lag is a quarter second or less, I can usually just adjust to it and do pretty well, but as soon as it goes beyond that, I can't even play the same way I normally do, so I try to invent things on the fly, usually to no avail.

Thanks. I had to learn how to use it because people are always rolling behind me to punish.

Um....funny, my connection with you said it was orange. And trust me, bad lag screws me up like nothing else. Our lag wasn't bad at all, by my standards. Just not instant. But anyways, it's not that surprising about our lag, I mean, I live in the Western ***-end of America, and you live in Illinois. Good games anyways though.

If I lived in Illinois, our distance apart would be about half what it actually is. I live in Brooklyn...as in New York City...as in the Atlantic-f*cking-Ocean. haha

Also, this is peculiar...can one person have one color connection and another person be suffering a significantly slower connection? This question is about wifi in general, and should not be seen as a john...I already johned enough about wifi above. :psycho:

Argh, I knew I was forgetting something. As for the colors of connections, it isn't very likely. You have to remember that since Wifi uses P2P connections, lag is determined by both systems. If anything, I'd suggest you check your online again.

May I add to this?

I played against Gleam, who lives in NC, and the lag was minimal, so there should be little problems.

Also, Gleam, forgive me for my futile efforts to fly. Tried to learn to do it with the delay. =P

Added. And also, keep trying to Fly. I've been using it a lot online, and of course I've been punished a lot for it, but there's only one way to get good with it, right? If you can't perform it under the pressure of an actual fight, then it's without a use. In fact, I've lost a few matches because I'm so adamantly going for specific KOs via FoG. They will come, and when they do, controllers will explode, and replays will flow like wine.

Gleam, I'll play tonight sometime. I just walked in the door from work, so I need to unwind and eat (not to mention my roommate is currently playing fable 2), but maybe around like 9 o'clock?
