A bit of the expected drama from Nova here- in fact, we played the entire first match fair and square. I camped, yes, under the assumption that kirby being in play meant that both players acknowledged the nonexistence of the concept "cheap," but never stalled- every time he retreated to the right edge of hyrule, I followed him. The entire thing took about eight minutes, and I won. Fynal watched the whole thing from right next to me IRL and can back me up. I offered to finish off the set repeatedly, but he was having none of it. He called "forfeit" after he had already lost the match.

I can honestly say that I expected no other outcome. Victory battlecow.

PS- He's also been subjecting me to verbal abuse in the form of homophobic slurs since then. Tsk tsk.

ur awful, u have no kind of skill, u camp and ur pathetic. wat does using kirby have to do with sitting at the end of the stage for 10 minutes. surri please change these matches to dreamland only or i will have to drop out. dont give him the win

I watched most of the match from the computer next to Bcow, both bcow and nova were retreating to the left/right side of hyrule pretty often and both were, after 20ish seconds, comming out to confront the other. Camping, yes. Excessive stalling, no.

At one point late in the match Nova paused and accused Bcow of excessive stalling (while each was at an end of hyrule), but kept playing. When Bcow got the winning hit, Nova paused and St+L+R+A reset as he was flying off the screen. Then the emu crashed, because this is kaillera. When Bcow got back on, he repetitively asked Nova to finish the set, and Nova repetitively refused.

I note that a few mins later Nova whispered "f*****" to bcow, this being minutes after the first two posts were posted.

uh no, i requested that u make the ladder dreamland only but if u want to make stuff up then ok. Also standing at the end of hyrule typing "u scared" is definitely stalling so yea, i feel sorry for anyone who has to play with this 12 yr old.

Also hyrule is a joke stage that gives ppl with no skill a chance to win and should not be used in competitive play.

Hyrule is a terrible stage, I agree Nova. Dreamland is perfect. But, If you don't develop patience, you won't beat people who "stall". You should be able to have a comfortable lead at all times anyway.

How do you guys feel about the lower rank getting to strike first?

I think it's fair seeing as if you are going to challenge someone higher in position then you it helps keep the matches balanced.
