Well for Apex/MLG(either or) these people have planned to go
Me, Micaelis, Lounis, GTR, saltix, dyno, scatz, billy, reflex, calvin, raf, i believe deo, Alby(or so he says), and i cant remember the rest in GTR's car. Im pretty sure this is more then 3 or 4 but w/e
Edit: Either way i'd rather have us do it before the august monthly so that for our next season we can do August-December or something. I Also forgot to add like Kola, Zero gamer, george ect that show a lot of interest in going to mlg.

Well. Alby now has the $5 that Rayku was trying to take from him so I'm sure Alby will be attending Apex.

I most likely have my GA Southern Crew coming with me to MLG. That means you guys can play another Legit MK and play Deo again (if he saves his money). I can't go to Apex cause I don't have the money anymore since I don't get any funds doing the **** for my family (plus, my dad was *****ing about going to Apex). However, I saved up money for Apex and put it aside to keep my family from making me spend it.

End the season after Apex. This will be the end of the Summer and the next season can start along with the new school season.
I almost feel like seasons should just be semester based like college. That would make it simple.

This actually makes viable sense, considering people suddenly dropping the ball due to school might drop, the summer ending would be a good time to show how when the community is active who would succeed.
Ironically Dyno, Micaelis's idea actually HELPS high schoolers get on the PR before the school semester starts, so it's understandable when the drop is considerable during the school year.

Alright guys, on a serious note; this last tournament had 10 people, many of which were pr members (micaelis, dyno, alby, turtl, biglou, rayku(kind of). And with round robin you all got to play one another and see your skill level.
With this being said, and money still being on the line, I would like to ask all of you.
Why is this tournament not being included?
Is it because of small attendance? Because if this was the case, it would be silly. Since you guys did a ten man round robin, you got as much matchup experience as a regular large scale tournament; all of which had money on the line.
Is it because of people not trying? Because from what i've heard, people did in fact try at this tournament (alby being one of them).
With half of the PR at this tournament, ad all of them playing each other; i'm curious as to why we cannot use this tournament for matchups.
In case we do, I would like everyone (regardless of whether you were trying or not; this is not an excuse) to post your records from this tournament.

the only person i was 80% trying against was rayku
others were just autopilot and not caring
turtl was using this tourney as a test run for his marth and lounis told him it wouldnt have counted. So i figured there wasnt as much pressure
i went mario and lost a round to a random and still continued to play mario

I picked up a new character, strictly for fun though.

Dont worry im prob not gonna stick w/ marth. I have a lot of fun w/ him but i think im looking for a more gimmicky character. Although my marth is legit so if i dont find another character ima end up usin him.
@Jamaal- yea dude i talked to lounis about the tourney ahead of time asking if it was gonna count and he said that it wasnt. Michael was there too and didnt have a problem w/ it not counting.
My general consensus is that $5 tournaments with low stakes do not count. I think that's the most legitimate.
I'll also go on a whim and say I was only really trying against Michael, Turtl and Dyno, but who cares. And those after-tournament friendlies with Albino. I was planning on money matching Albino and taking it seriously, but he would not accept

lol well my marth is legit for 4 days practice. Overall hes prob not very good yet unless im vsing characters im familiar with. I still have no idea how to face mks. Micaelis, u, and lounis ***** my marth w/ him. The reason i tried marth was because im trying to solo someone and Marth is a great all around character with no impossible match ups. I'm tired of my current characters.
I say work on Zero Suit Samus for reals. I've always loved her personally and she's a great all around character too. She's just really light.

I agree with this man.
You should stick with zerosuit and falco. If you aren't having fun playing the way you are now, then change the way you play or even take a break for a little. Dont just say that you are going to quit all at once.

lol turtl just stick with falco and zss. you're probably just plateauing with them and not seeing improvement, unlike your marth who is still a noob.

Its not that i hate how i play with them i hate using them nowadays period. I just dont have any fun using them. If i stuck with them then whats the point of playing? I mean i play to have fun but also to have competition. No fun ruins the game for me.
@take a break- isnt that what im doing right now? I have said countless times that this is only a maybe to drop them. I am going to see how everything is after mlg before i make any decisions about actually dropping them. Right now is just test runs on characters i like but never have actually tried using. I'm of course using zss/falco for apex and mlg. It'd be stupid to do otherwise.
@BBQ- dont really feel like im not improving w/ them. In fact i did really good against lounis this weekend w/ Zss vs snake and zss vs luigi. Better then i've done in a while in a serious set.

@Chas: Alright, well I said this before but I'll say it again. Just play the way u want to play and have fun. It's the most important thing, as you said. I just told you to take a break or w/e because I too got bored but I turned it around.

Turtl Gimmicky characters only work until people figure out the matchup. Don't set yourself up for that, pick a more stable character *Marth/Someone Top of C tier and up.*
I know how you feel about not liking to have to play another character, cuz your character has hsit matchups. And normally I'd recommend just sticking to your main, and playing someone else, but you already have two characters that cover all of their bad matchups and you're still not having fun. So at this point I believe the best idea would to be take a break and come back and just play who you really enjoy. Regardless of their position on a list...
I'll be doing MM's at the monthly *If I can go...* as long as I don't play you in bracket.
To top it off I was only really trying against....lol
Well i didnt say a character that was 100% gimmicky. I just meant a little more then marth considering hes not gimmicky at all. I'm just not having fun w/ my characters, not the game. Just sayin but even w/ my 2 characters i still have a disadvantage to marth, pika, and maybe shiek lol.

Here's my verdict on the scenario: It sounds like the Panelist along with PR members already knew of the tournament being practical with no serious matches; the only person out of the PR who was unaware was Alby. Because of this it's kind of hard to say that these matches should count, considering Alby was the only person we guaranteed know was trying; if anything we would have to hold you (you being alby) against every one of your losses, however not hold you to any of your wins (since the people who lost 'weren't trying').
If you did in fact Money Match people, the PR rules still stand by (five+ dollars and they count towards the pr)

I kno how ya feel man. I played Diddy for 2 yrs and wasn't having too much fun with him at all. Nothin but chuckin' bananaz at ppl and little funny glide dancing. So I picked up Falco for a month and he was fun a bit, but got dull really fast. Took a long time to find a character I could really enjoy and that was by happenstance when Scatz wanted help for the Yoshi vs Lucario MU.
That's when I finally decided this character would represent me completely. To make even more believable, I put more time into practicing and learning his MUs for 4 months than I did with Diddy for 2 years.
And still now I invest time into him.

In Alby's defense, I think this should count. Because from what I'm seeing apparently it's not counting because... people used random characters and weren't trying? Correct me if I'm wrong, but

Srsly this isnt counting because really the CB was actually just gonna be a smashfest but since Lounis said that it wasnt gonna count we turned it into a Round Robin to so that it allows everyone to play everyone and add tourney exp. Its also because really no one did go all out against anyone(cept alby). This tourney didnt show how it'd actually turn out if it was a legit tourney(no offense to alby). I mean of course Lounis would get first but the rest of the tops spots are debatable. 2nd leaning more towards rayku imo. Also i think its funny your saying your defending alby even though he doesnt have a problem with it not counting or at least he hasnt said much about it.
