I'm not going crazy, but the thing is, some of you guys have a listening/reading problem. I see you fixed your post, and that's fine. But it is basic math to everyone, it is very OBVIOUS that Evan did NOT and should NOT have made bracket, and he DIDN'T.

So please Evan, stop spreading word around that you got screwed, because you only screwed yourself by not winning enough. We didn't gimp you, you gimped yourself. You went and hung out with 3 of the top 5 players in the nation, and to put it in the words of what someone said, you should be taking a **** on Southern Smash right now.

Now about Juan's situation. There is another thing that was just brought to my attention. He placed low in his pool. Third or Fourth seed, because when I read off pools to Mike, I came across my name before I came across Juan's (I placed 3rd seed). I will have Mike confirm this, because pools are on the computer as well. Now what does this mean? If you are a tourny player then you already know: Low seeds get matched against high seeds in brackets automatically, to allow for the better players to move through the brackets without eliminating other really good players first. Now you are going to say "But Juan is too good, he should've placed higher!" Well I'm sorry but, Juan placed a low seed, and Wes was First seed in our pool, and thus the computer matched it like that in the first place.

So not only did we not have a choice in matching them due to other complications with the brackets, but also by standard tourny definition, the placement of Juan was fully correct.

*is really pissed*

EDIT: OK, I insulted GA as a whole, and I shouldn't have, because it's really only a couple of you who are griping. So, GA Community I am sorry <3, I shouldn't have attacked you that way :(

but, i thought wes LOST 2 games during his pools matches, while Chad and XIF went undefeated.
in their pools. so, if wes lost games, and they didn't, how was wes top seed. wouldn't this be impossible. i'm just asking this because i wanna know exactly how you guys split up the pools, as i did not play in singles. this being said, that could have altered the computer matchups due to error on behalf of the columbus crew...

on a side note, should this be an error on Gerbil's behalf, he should be on this show...

Read it again man. I said he was First Seed in OUR pool, not top seed of all the pools.

Guys it is not that hard to understand, a 7-7 (W-L) is worse than a 7-6 (W-L), PB&J didn't make it.

EDIT: Where the hell is the rest of my crew to back me up? I'm not the only one who ran this, stop jumping on me about it. :urg:

I know right? Alpha made that title up spontaneously over a few months ago >.<

@Juan: Dude nothing wrong went down. It is just PB&J misunderstanding what happened, and now it has become this stupid thing over Smashboards.

Unrelated to b!tchin': My copy of Smash was taken out of my gamecube (which was oddly enough, taken out of my backpack without asking me and not even hooked up, just ravaged for Smash), and I'd really like it back. Also now missing a VCR..

O.O I saw your copy of Smash i think.... someone had found a spare copy in their Wii... and no, we don't have it, sorry :( I will ask around though

I do however, have two controllers. If anyone is missing a controller, describe it to me (trust me, you can describe these) and I will see about making arrangements to get it back to you ASAP.

I didn't see the VCR either, but when I get a chance to get back up there, I will look for a VCR as well.

There should be no calling out people due to easy brackets. As it is completely random, there is no reason for it to be pointed out, especially by someone who wasn't good enough to make it out of pools.

In the future, please do not call out the tournament staff like you did; if there was foul play involved, someone other than yourself would have said something, and the tournament directors know dạmn well how to do basic math and run a tournament. They're not Manacloud, and they certainly don't just have it out for you; they do things fairly. If you have an issue, that's understandable; however, please don't let it be absurd. What your complaining at the tournament sounded like to everyone else was this: "I need to make excuses to get into the tournament, because I'm not good enough to do it otherwise." I don't just have a personal vendetta against you; other people feel the same way, as well.

I feel that you've done a lot to warrant people getting tired of you. You've made a lot of far-reaching, unnecessary claims before, saying that Fullmetal won't be outplaced by Prac or Gerbil anymore, and that Prac and Gerbil didn't deserve their spot on the rankings. You also spoke about getting so much better after visiting New York, as if you were going to take GA by storm, but ended up still being less than stellar. I actually walked into a conversation today (and yesterday, but that's besides the point) that had people say that they feel the same way as I do, so I'm definitely not just spouting insults. All these claims, and then you're hushed up when things don't go your way. I understand that people shouldn't want to get screwed out of a tournament spot, but for all the losing you do, you aren't very accepting of it.

To quote you after I beat you in the CDE vs. GPC crew battle at Smash Aid X; "It's just a game, it's no big deal." Keep that mindset, and don't worry about trashtalking or talking people up. Enjoy the game; that should always be the most important thing.

EDIT: Shoutouts to come. Just letting you know.

sounded like a great tourney. Sorry I couldnt come(as usual >_>) If you guys are really planning to host another I'll really try my best to attend :)

congrats Wes and Chad! man Wes I need to see u before u leave...it feels like I havent seen u in months. Smash Aid doesnt really count cause I was Actually high as **** ^_^

Gerbil: madd props for doing what you do man. Don't let things let things like this get to as it happens all the time in the smash community. Even so, I kinda take some blame because Evan trained with my good friends in NY and if he really made bold claims like that, then I am sorry. I hope Evan sees his faults and steps up cause if he doesn't I'll jus konck him out with my evil turnip <3

hard to believe GA has such and large and strong smash community now...it was like yesterday when Wes and I were complaining how we need more players....man 2 1/2 years passes by really fast. LOL look what you're leaving behind Wes!? What you mostly created!? I hope ur proud....

Magus - I wish I knew man, cause I would help you out if I did.

SleepyK - Let's do this >.< *makes sure noone is around to watch* :p

Mike G - Thanks dude... and you have nothing to apologize for. I do wish you could've made it, but maybe next time eh?

Marty - I hope my post didn't come off to you as me being pissed towards you, I was just trying to refer back to a previous post. Sorry :( To go into detail more about how pools were created, here we are:

When we took your (the tournament players) door fee, we also asked you for your region/crew. If we didn't ask you, it's because we already knew. (I mean, we obviously know that GPC plays Smash with each other, situations like that) The regions/locations and stuff were divided by the following (not limited to this though, I don't remember all of them, and Mike has the computer)

CDE
GPC
Atlanta
TWIPL
Friends (we had multiple types of this one because not everyone has the same friends lol)
Alabama
INNSomniacs
*this was a blank space for those that had no actual group they belonged to in general*

If you were placed in any of the given named groups, it was because you play with those people most often. So we'll use CDE as an example. CDE plays together constantly, and thus we didn't want to match ourselves up with each other in pools so as to diversify the skill and the people playing each other. so all CDE members got put under the location as CDE. Same with those from the Atlanta area. Wes, Datman, Chaddd, etc etc play each other all the time, so to split them up we designated them as Atlanta.

After pools were randomly generated, we checked for the amount of difficulty in each pool. We tried to make sure that no single pool had a forseen top 4. Meaning, we didn't want a pool with like... Wes, Chaddd, -Chad-, and Iori plus people who couldn't compete on their level, because we already know that those 4 named would make it out. So we switched some of the pools around to guerentee that wouldn't happen.

The next thing we looked for, was even though TIO seperates by location, some groups would still randomly have 3 or more people in the same pool. We did our best to diversify the pools while maintaining the fact that no pool was too hard for anyone where it would be extremely unrealistic that they would get out. This is why some pools were more difficult than others, and that happens at every tournament that has pool play.

I hope that answers your question better. :)

EDIT: If I am wrong in any of the information I have given, Mike will be able to sort it out.

Shout outs!

R-R-R-R-Random?

Anyways, congrats to Alpha,CDE, and the owner of cyberlanding for hosting another insane tournament. For me, this tournament>>>>>>>>>all others including G4S3, keep out doing yourselves!

S-S-S-S-Shout outs! aka wall of text!

CDE:

Alpha-X2X=coolest person ever? Awesome job getting 9th, and thanks for the tips on what to watch for in oppenents, it helped me a lot as the day went on. Keep hosting these epic tournaments and thanks again for the rides!

Gerbil-Thanks for the space animals tips, they helped me out a bit later that day. Nice job on 17th, and sorry about all the heat your getting about this pool drama. And I forgot to play some friendlies with you again! Bah, there's always friday I guess.

Prac-I had fun playing teams against you and Gerbil at Alphas place. Didn't get to see you much at the tournament itself though >.>. Good **** for getting 5th!

Tsunami-Had fun playing you in pools, its a shame I didn't get to play you more afterwords.

Darvel-Thanks for those matches we had Alphas, the tips you gave me took almost a day to settle in but it helped me quite a bit in the end .

Rest of CDE that I had little to no interaction with or cannot remember for the life of me >.>-Uhhhhhhhhhhh..................see you friday? *awkward* :urg:

Tournament goers:

Rick(Luigi main, I think there was more than one person who went by "Rick")-Retardly fun matches, loved it when your friend told you it was time to go, Rick's friend-"Come man we got to go!" Rick-"Ok hold on, let me finish this match" Friend walks away and we finish our match. Rick starts another match anyways, Rick-"He won't notice that we are on a different stage...right?" repeat this three more times.. Loved the Link/Luigi experience, hope to see you again!

Kevin-Fun matches, though, I think we should have stayed put when Iori asked us to be in his combo video :urg:.

And on that note Iori-...."Why can Mewtwo move like that...I think it's.. I THINK IT"S READING MY MIND!!!!!" Omgwtfbbq nasty Mewtwo, kinda wishing I didn't put my tag on now XD.

Moogle and Joot-Best hour (or two...or three? I can't remember..it went by so fast o_o) ever. I don't know if you guys noticed, but those matches we had helped me out SO much. I went from flaming piece of garbage to just plain garbage by playing you guys for a couple of hours. Those teams matches we had so good that I almost overloaded on pure fun. I better see you two again! Congrats on 13th Moogle!

Will-Nice Shiek man, though, Shiek dittos=no fun :(. J/K...kinda(Shiek=sadness). Is GPC coming to Reflex's tournament?

Datman-Thank you for the much needed experience against Falco, my most hated space animal. I was getting rocked by Falco's all day long !

Nes Noob-Awesome Link, but why didn't you bust out the manly Falcon in pools.....makes me sad :(.

Guy from CDE whose name/gamertag I can't remember for the life of me-Argh, you were at every station I was for half the day yet I cannot remember your name....makes me sad.....though what makes me sadder is your good link(which every other person I played had for some odd reaons). I hope your car turns up in one piece.

Pools shout outs!:

C-Very nice spacies and Falcon, congrats on 7th!

Ryan-Nice young link(though seriously, whats up with all of these Link/YL mains?!) you had me sweating the entire set.

Daniel Zaman-Nice job making brackets, sexy ganondorf you have there. Makes me want to make my platform wavelanding as solid as yours.

Yeti(112)-****, I want my marth to look like that o_o. Good **** on 5th.

Tsunami and Nes Noob-......no extra shout outs for you!:p.

GaWes-Never got to talk with you even though I had the oppertunity for like a hour and a half....oh well. Nice job on your sets against Xif, though, I just got done with a friendly when the falcon punch happen:(. Kevin-"Nice match" Me-"You to-...."Background-"FALCON....PWANCH!!!!!".....Announcer-"GAME!" Me-"****...did Wes just Falcon Punch for the win?!" Nice job man.

Chaddd-Also didn't get to meet you but congrats on first and your almost cheesy movie like ending with Wes in the finals!

anyone I didn't mention-yell at me for not remembering you..though I think thats everyone...sleep time!

I got so much respect for Chad (My boy from MS). No matter how he does, he doesn't john. If he doesn't do as well as he hoped: "Oh well. I had fun and I'll try harder next time." If he wins the tournament, he doesn't brag. He's humble and victory, humble at defeat. pwnachu

Xif- That's just the way Iori plays. You just have to get used to it. Yes, it's annoying at times, but that's his playstyle and it works. He does what he needs to do to win and he's good at it. That's how he can play all those weird characters and do well. lol

So, guys. The montage/dvd preview is pretty awesome. I'll be posting a Youtube lowqual and a Filefront higher quality video as soon as they get rendered - should be within the hour.
"No sleep" johns. I'm hungry.

The matches might take a smidgen longer than usual - I gotta render them for the DVD and then render them for youtube.
