California strike system:

At the start of the first round, players flip a coin. Players then take turns to eliminate stages one by one until there is only one remaining. The remaining stage will be used.

wow, add that to the time it takes to finish a set of brawl :ohwell:

how long are brawl sets?
i know melee ones are like 12 minutes if it goes to the last match but how long are brawl sets?

Hell yeah!

Fun Jigglypuff dittos today. She used to be my main, but now I just second her.
Yeah, definately some crazy times. Jiggz dittos are way too good.
She was my main back in Melee/64, and she's technically my "secondary".

Despite that I only use my main, ever.

Striking actually takes like 30 seconds. And no one ever bothers with coin flips (at least not to date).
Actually a better system of doing it is to make the player with port priority strike first; they get the port advantage but are disadvantaged because they must strike first. Somewhat decent trade off IMO.

eh :/ the port advantage is so small it doesnt even matter. Preference over port usually has more to do with where the character starts out in a stage (or background color lol)

This is what we usually do.

It actually makes a huge difference in teams and when playing against Snake because of his grenade tricks. I hates grenades >.<"

What's the omnigay? Also, port priority is serious business against Snake. I can multiply my gayness by 10x if I have the highest priority port :p

Only works if you have port priority.

I'm putting this line here so I don't get infracted for my signature.

This line too.

One more.
You know, I never considered port priority to be a big thing.
Is that the only thing that changes with port priority? I assume it doesn't.
Wasn't there a thread about the port priority biz?
