and for my sakes please avoid the weekend of the 13th, itll be impossible for me to make it and if i dont come then its unlikely that my brother would drive the rest of STFU. theyd prolly get a coach but itd be added expense and i really am looking forward to a trip to scotland.

Yeah sorry Matt but there nothing much I can do about your holiday. I'd change the date but I've been told off for trying to get Charles in particular to come to the tournament. :(

Looks like only one falkirk rep, perhaps the odd Tom.

****ing gutted at that tbh.

P.S: Date added, editing topic in an hour or so for the address etc.
The thread will be updated majorly.
Note: Pictures of the venue tomorrow, the venue looks like a ****ing tin barn from the outside but the halls bigger than edster if I recall properly.

JO3: I was wondering why you were seeded, but judging by the number of flakers at AR2, there weren't many other people that could've taken your seed. Had I been in your pool, its possible I could've won (judging from the performance the week b4 at wills) but hey, nj's. Also you have way more experience than me, so i wasn't surprised at the result.

MM sounds fine with me, as long as it ain't too much.

Me vs Bill has been played way too much. However, b4 end of term, it was usually me winning by 2 stock. Now I'm not so sure as I haven't played bill that much since, but there'll be plenty of time for that from september.

Don't book until I post in big red letters saying "BOOKED VENUE." I still need to sign for it which shall be done this weekend. No worries.

Whats quite ironic about the date is that the 19th is my birthday  I'll probably be at the venue around 4 after school then busy up till around 9,I will most likely be staying at the venue along with you all.

aiko: you have more potential then alot of players, you handle yourself very well especially with speed. but you dont utilise it very well, like nairing about the place works on semi/floaties but youd do it on spacies and for some reason be expecting a similar result. its true that your not seeded because of a lack of experience but also because you can be very dumb at times. also you dont mix your **** up very often so you can become predictable. itll come with time but you need to work on your defensive game alot because you dont seem to know what to do when your opponent hits back ^^.

that said dude ive actually ripped a few things from you, youll see them when we play again XD

Joe- Me and Aiko play all the time. In fact it was him that taught me how to play better smash. Last time we played I think Ant was winning about 3 out of 5 or something like that. He even said that we were about even in terms of skill but not rlly IMO. Aiko is better. And no Ant, you were not 2 stocking me all the time. The seeds at AR- none of the London players turned up apart from frostbyte. a lot of SBD didn't come either. The seeds had to be made up somehow.

Foulplay- Can't you put the updates in the first post via the edit button?

im sure sambuca is with an s.

JO3: I totally agree with you. technically im pretty good. mindgame wise, im a dumb*** (well not a total dumb***, but i sure as hell aint smart). I just don't have the experience yet but as you and other people say, it comes with time.

bill: They weren't all 2 stocks, but about 50% of my wins were 2 stock, with me winning, i'd say 75% of the games we played. nothing to be ashamed of, it just shows how much you've improved. now I'm not so sure where i stand, some games are in order.

Bill: I did.
Everyone else: Venue is booked throughout october, like all of October now, Some wrestling **** booked the last day. I'm gutted that the manager never left the date open like I asked him to when I said "Leave the dates open, I'll get back to you." But we've got nothing to work with now besides late September and November.

If anyone has any bright ideas say them because I'm stumped out on thinking of them besides Nov. and Late Sept.

- even if we did find another venue for October which is unlikely because I've tried all 5 halls and only 3 have overnight and all 3 are now booked, and I can't afford to pay for either hotel rooms or everyone to a hostel/bnb, I'm most likley going to go on a holiday to the states during October now.

If anyone wants to go have a shout at the venue go do so by finding there contact details. [This was meant to be a stupid joke that didn't work well]

I'm pissed off with trying to make things work and it just not happening, October isn't a good month for booking now as there ****ing nothing to work with apart from halls without overnight.

Like I said, if anyone has any ideas for this do so otherwise we're ****ed and this tourny is either postponded or over.

Sorry to hear that. A suggestion: if you are getting an overnight place then having it somewhere bigger like Glasgow rather than Falkirk then it'll be easier to find a venue and everyone can just stay there instead. Chris booked places for his tourneys (ros3 and 4) in places nowhere near where he was staying.

Just host in september, if there is spaces, and if people can get tickets/days of work soon enough.
Otherwise host it in november...it's like 2 weeks later no big deal.

Well i would prefer November personally. September is too much of a busy month with uni starting again and moneys gonna be tight for a while.

It wouldn't cost you much anyway..but i guess if your starting uni it's going to be a bad month. It's up to kieran really, and he'll probz base it off the majority of people.

It must be a samus thing, i think ryan likes it too
its not a samus thing i like sambuca to an lighting it is pretty cool to.

i agree with ryan try and keep the same date but try glasgow for overnight stay and then its lss far for other people to travel from london etc.

But it'll be hard for us gettin TV's to glasgow, as Kieran's dad can't drive, and my dad probz wouldn't drive us thru to glasgow a few times for the TV's.

yh but other people will be bringing tvs with them like raf, sdb and stfu, you just bring what you could though. there are several websites on google with venues in glasgow with accomedation etc which are suitable.

jambuca XD

samus-buca would also be acceptable. and it seems like everyone except bill likes sambuca. flame on? gotta put it out with your hand! anyone done that b4?

Being honest, postponing to november is a better idea, much better than september. Like most people, sep is a busy month (partly because of uni and partly because its my birthday)

somebody get me cake :D

I could have a look around for a venue, shouldnt be that hard.Kieran I'll speak with you next time you're on and we'll pipe something up.

Sons of the Saltire is blatantly the best name this tournament could possibly have, please pipe yourselves towards the nearest exit, that means down:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

By the way, incase anyone gets the wrong idea-Joe is a poo, spamming nair on spacies is a good idea(full hop nair on falco is amazing). If you pipe around using nair all the time it'll be ineffective against anyone, especially peach(I dont get where you got the idea spamming nair is good on floaties Joe?).No offence to Joe just making sure no-one takes in that sort of patter.

mega drunk and cba reading most of these posts.

aiko: the only thing that you do that actually annoys me is presuming your better then someone when you beat them a few times, just plain not true. its nothing serious obv coz everyone does **** that annoys others but seriously just presume that your worse then someone untill you beat them consistantly over a few different encounters.

f.play: wwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaatttt

zeppo: good ****, your a fooking legend

sambuca: its quite foul imo, but i used to drink it to seem cool, since then its actually grown on me

stevie: better see you son mengz!

davemans: lets face it, you deserve your own ahoutout because your also a ****ing great guy

i think it came from a couple of my combo's on ppl. works on marth and peach around 30-70%

peach can be multi-naired all the way across FD ending with uair and marth can be nair waveshined repeatedly (next one just b4 he lands from the shine) followed again by uair or by shine

JO3: i don't presume i'm better than you, I just think i caught up a little since our last few encounters where you used to completely own me. Its still plainly clear to me that you have way more experience and the confidence to go with it.

Seriously imo the only way you should rate yourselves is in tournament.Too many of you scrubs and scrubbettes get way cocky over a couple stocks in some friendlies.

Peach can generally CC Fox's nair approach, other than that Fox's nair is no more efficient on her than it is on other chars. And yeah nair chains on Peach are beast but Mr P DI's it imo.

Z- i mean if ppl dont DI away you can hammer them with 3 nairs in a row where as spacies will hit the floor before the second hitbox comes out

indeed :ohwell: stocks are a decent way of seeing how well you measure up though, and since most ppl don't get past pools, stocks are all they have.
