You underestimate the general apathy of people, which is partially my point. That's generally where specialized education comes in, though. My main point was that most of the people who succeed in school would succeed with a different environment.**** *****ES GET MONEY SON

Also, you can't exactly say that "self learning" would be better. 85% of the population in high school is too apathetic to do anything for themselves, they only do what they are forced to do. If they replaced every class with "These are your subjects, study them yourself" nearly everybody would fail.
In college, that is different, but idk how much different since I haven't gone yet
Also, a considerable portion of college is supposed to be teaching to self-study so that you maintain your knowledge once you leave school.
I personally feel that most people would be better off getting their G.E.D. and getting to work right away, because it makes better use of their time.
