I totally agree with Pato! Seriously, he's very good. Brazil's attack in the next World Cup(which will be here lol) is going to be amazing. We'll probably have Neymar, Pato, André(another Santos' young player) and Robinho, and Ganso as a midfield attacker.

About the Brazilian League... well, it isn't as good as the European ones, mainly because most good players go to Europe when they are still young. Therefore, there aren't many nimble players. However, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos and Robinho are current playing for Brazilian teams(Adriano were, too. But now he went to Roma). The same for the Argetinia League. Messi went to Barcelona when he was 13 years old if I am not mistaken, lol.

So hey Slhoka what's it like watching the French team fall apart.

Then again, calling the coach fils de pute was the right thing to do. Anelka's a boss.
I don't give a **** about the French team. I don't like them. So all these news mostly make me want to take a popcorn box and a (German) beer and see what's gonna happen.

And even though I have trouble choosing the dumbest guy between Anelka and Domenech, I don't think such things should be said to the coach, and more importantly, made public.

In the first place, France should never have traveled to South Africa with a coach they didn't want to be there to lead them. They shuld have fired him before the world cup no matter what. They have been 'ridiculés' like Ribery said. The world cup is once every 4 years and it's an opportunity not to get lost in purpose like that. They should have let Ireland go if they were going to run things like this.
ridiculisés* ;)
Ribéry speaks so bad he could have said that, though.
Overall, I agree with you. This problem has been present in the French team for years, and it should have been adressed before. I felt bad toward Ireland after we qualified, but right now, it even worse.

I was hoping there would be some discussion of the World Cup. I am very excited for Wednesday and to watch Germany and the USA play. And doesn't France play that day? I don't care for their team; I just really want to see how much their team has fallen apart.

Oh, I thought it was Tuesday or Wednesday. I hope Mexico advances over France. Everyone overlooks teams like Mexico and African teams. It would be nice them dominate over Europe.

Even if France beats South Africa, they won't advance if Uruguay and Mexico tie up! Also, France would have to score multiple goals over South Africa too!

I didn't get a single point for 9 straight matches! Weak!

With current Mexico game, that's impossible.
They had a friendly aganst Italy before the WC began, and they outplayed them REALLY well, and if they'd play like that more often, they possibly could....

Mexico plays nicely

I hope they win against Uruguay cuz they play better football than them, but Uruguay is still tough and has great attackers (which doesn't mean they have a great offense)

So much controversial ref decisions. Being a ref must suk. :p

I have to agree, the over defence is definitely boring to watch, reminds me of Brawl...

You don't really have to approach. If you have the lead, or against a stronger opponent, why not just plank, scrooge, stall, whatever until the timer runs out. Take the draw, or in the case where you have the lead, a victory that had little risks. Better then rushing in and potentially being countered and losing.. Play to win, not entertain. Make that $$$

That's not to say I agree with that. I 'd much rather be a spectator to an amazing offensive game, but I can see why teams defend to the maximum. Against a stronger team/have the lead, it may just be the best strategy.

No, since in that case Messico will pass as 2nd and have to play Argentina instead of Greece\South Korea. I don't think they will be that crazy.

This is a massacre, 7-0 at the moment. Poor North Korea getting slaughtered by the Portuguese.

I guess that's what you get for being commie.

7-0?! Well, nobody is going to pay attention to Germany's 4-0 victory now.

N Korea were more compact against Brazil. They played nearly everyone behind the ball. They were more open against Portugal, defended poorly and paid the price.

Ref in the Chile game is card happy. One red, a bit harsh imo, arm was raised but wasn't malicious, I'm expecting more cards.

So glad Chile won.

Feel bad for North Korea though I think old Kim Jong-Il is gonna line them up in front of the firing squad.

The players should try claiming asylum while they're still abroad.

Lol, that is probably the typical bull**** of the western press, without real evidence.
(not that it's a nice place to live :( ) .

Anyway, they are alive and were awarded with a medal on they return, and Pak Seung-Zin is actually even a football trainer today =)

There is also a 2002 movie by a British reporter called "The game of their lives" about that.

Spain played okay but had trouble finishing many times

I don't like how Navas played at all, I think he doesn't fit in the spanish game. Del Bosque should put Villa and Torres up with Cesc behind them

I also hate that he puts both Busquets and Xabi Alonso together, I would put just one of them there.

Spain has to win the next match, no matter what.

Switzerland will beat Honduras, so if Spain draws, they're ****ed. A lead of one goal vs Chile will be enough to beat them to the knockout phase (assuming the swiss beat Honduras).

Bem, eu espero que Brasil e Portugal façam um ótimo jogo, com o Brasil ganhando seria melhor ainda, mas não vai ser muito fácil pois o time de Portugal é muito bom. Quanto você acha que fica o jogo, King Funk?

Spain was dissapointing, I really thought they would win the cup, but I'm not sure now.
Their midfield(not sure if its the right word) is still broken tho.

I woke up this morning around 20 minutes into the second half between N.Korea and Portugal and saw it was 4-0 so I went back to sleep! I woke up sometime after the game was over and my brother tells me, "Portugal won 7-0!" LOL!

Chile was pretty impressive. Although Switzerland was down a man for most of the match (dumb call btw) and missed a pretty wide open opportunity near the end.

I have no idea why Kaka is out against Portugal, what a terrible call. That was ridiculous.

Agreed, Kaka sent off in the dying stages of the game was stupid, need instant replay :p

Glad Spain won but they still could've played a lot better. Villa should've had that hat-trick -__-

Halftime and Mexico is down by one to Uruguay and France is down by.....two to South Africa! Wow, but really, everyone was seeing it coming for France. I'm excited to see if they can pull it together second half.
