Anybody would say that if they dont care about a good story, and can deal with a story that leaves many questions left unanswered.
Naruto on the other hand SUX. and cant even hold up the main plot very well. and btw naruto is long & it probably wont end anytime soon.

I like naruto. It's got ninjas fighting each other all the time. This is awesome. I need to check out One Piece, because I understand it has pirates fighting each other all the time. So between those two, gundam seed (robots fighting in space) and cowboy bebop I'd have of the awesome bases covered.

I kind of reluctantly enjoy schoolgirl animes. It's sad that if I had to make a list of my top five animes, Azumanga Daioh, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Fruits Basket would all feature prominently.

Well, I wouldn't say that those anime shows suck, but they are extremely overrated and don't deserve half the popularity they receive.
I'm confused by your word structure; are you claiming that One Piece's storyline is extremely better when regarding depth and that One Piece is good because it is shorter than Naruto, making it better?
That's rather laughable. One Piece is made by Shonen Jump and shows all the attributes that all of their other shows have had. And 375 episodes is hardly a short-lived anime. It's way too long, just like Naruto.

But RK and YYH actually are good Shonen animes.
Kenshin was a great anime, it shouldn't make you feel kiddy for watching that, especially if you watched the Samurai X trust and betrayal OAV. It is pretty mature. Toonami back then was pretty good.
Still, Code Geass is my favorite at the moment.
Samurai Champloo is simply amazing for anyone who hasn't watched it, though it may be a bit too mature for those underage because of drug and sexual references. No really, it's amazing.

G Gundam was underrated. Sure it was a huge departure from the tradition UC Gundam series, but it was great. I want to watch that series again.

I know most of it, I've just never watched it.
Wasn't Akira just a movie though? Or was the movie based off a series? Either way Miyazaki is the greatest.

And yes, he's amazing. Castle in the Sky has to be my favorite out of all of them, but they were all just fantastic.

Hayao Miyazaki's films with Studio Ghibli are freaking amazing.
