I love the F-Zero series mainly GX which is my favorite racing game so what do you think about F-Zero should we get a new one ? Personally, I would like to see a re-release of GX with online play that would be awesome :)

I don't know how online play would work. Even though it's racing, its pretty different from Mario Kart. I could picture a lot of newer players really not liking it due to the difficulty of the game.

Personally, I loved the first title for the SNES a lot. I played it a good bit of a kid and it was a lot of fun. ^_^ I also liked GP Legend for the GBA because it had a feel similar to the original, but an actual storyline with anime characters thrown in. GX was good too, but I didn't play that one nearly as much.

I agree with LT, is was difficult, seriously, I literaly had to use an AR just to get through Story Mode, it's sad really, casual wise though it's a pretty fun game, the explosions are way too funny at times.

The gamecube F-Zero IS HARD AS HELL.

made me so mad
All the F-zero games are challenging. That's why I think that online in a future title would have a difficult time attracting the casual crowd and not do so well.

GX was great but I don't know how well online play would work. I guess we'll never know if we don't see it though so it has to be worth a try.
You had to use the "L" and "R" buttons a lot to manage the corners. It got annoying at times but I played the game so much I got the hang of it.

That depended on your vehicle but yes, they were very necessary buttons. That isn't really a bad thing though as atleast the drift buttons worked in that game (I'm looking at you double dash).

Lol, I had the willpower and determination to stick at it and get really good, though there were 4 of the arcade vehicles I just couldn't get without cheating, mostly because none of the four AX machines were anywhere near where I live.

I did as well, but really tried to finish it legitametly as well, but I ended up falling alot, especially in the final laps that I ended up getting frustrated and just cheated, I never played with the AX vehicles though.

You get them for beating story mode on very hard or simply winning with them in the arcade while your memory card is in the machine. The second option is obviously the easiest by far, if you can actually find an arcade machine.

Yes Story Mode in GX was really harsh on very hard I didn't cheated or snaked to get the AX racers but it took me a week to clear Mission 7 which is probably the hardest mission in the game but 5 and 1 are really annoying too.

Master wasn't that tough for me but Phantom Road I swear is a real PITA  . But, I finally managed to get first place and got 500 points on Diamond Cup :) ( hardest in the game) . Still this game as said previously is VERY DIFFICULT.

F-Zero GX is my favorite racing game as well. Its difficulty kept me playing religiously for about two months up until Brawl's release, which promptly ended my short-lived GX era. Still, I learned that game quickly. Could never snake though.

I want a new one on the 3DS and/or Wii U.

Did anyone ever beated all the staff ghost in GX ? Seriously that was hard I still can't do it without a custom some like Twist Road and Sonic Oval are just so difficult and even with a custom they 're still very hard

Actually, Trident is one of the easier race of Diamond the only worry that you could have is falling off which was pretty easy to not do once you learned the track and Fat Shark. The AI are really bad in that course althought less than in Dragon Slope.

But what about X ? I didn't played it as much but I've heard that Master in this game is even more difficult thanks to Rubberband AI . It is too bad that the Pit Stop is down there must have been really helpful F-Zero info in that forum.

Snaking is an abuse that involve doing multiple QT which raise your top speed to really high level you had to be on max accel to do it same for spaceflying. Althought, I've never resorted to snaking to beat the game I can do it, but I choose not to.

Good, an Fzero thread :)

i love this game, is fast as a guy that want to go to the bathroom in time of need, in fact, with F-zero GX, i felt for first time in my life as a gamer dizzy for play video games ...

F zero X is pretty fast too to be a N64 game, it have a good feel of speed even laking in details as buildings and others stuff like GX.

would be really good see another game, specialy in teh Wii U, seen a remastered fire stingray would be awesome

I never bothered trying.

You can't beat top level AI without boosting and boosting constantly without falling off is nigh impossible in that course unless you use an overweight vehicle like the aforementioned Fat Shark, who is then too rubbish to beat the other 4 races.

I know how snaking works, I just can't move my fingers that fast without messing up the timing of it.

I like most of the F-Zero games although GX for the GameCube and X for the N64 are my favorites.

Wouldn't it have been awesome if you could have played F-Zero GX in LAN mode like you could Mario Kart: Double Dash?

Yeah I'm really looking forward to an F-Zero games for the Wii U!

I agree my favorite theme was Phoenix.

Anyway Master video's some were pretty funny but it was tedious to unlock all of them . My favorite was Dr. Stewart

^ I've also thought that. Pheonix is about the next manliest thing to Falcon, with a pretty sweet ride (and theme) compared to the Falcon.
