I wouldn't call it a godsend but it's definetly not useless and way better than the tornado.

Fludd can be really effective against a character with bad recovery and it can help you set up a spike but sometimes i wish the tornado hadn't been switched for fludd :ohwell:

Why? All that it did in melee was increase recovery. Mario's recovery is better in brawl than in melee. So it has no purpose.

I don't have the game yet, but I still know that as an attack F.L.U.D.D. is much more usefull than Melee tornado. I mean, how could it be less useful? Only things you could do with tornado were to increase your recovery and to taunt your opponent.

Also, F.L.U.D.D. is good for spacing and edgeguarding.

Um.. First of all, have you heard of FLUDD Wall? It is basically one of the best edgeguarding tactics Mario has. FLUDD also ***** Luigi's recovery (FLUDD his side B and he's screwed). Not only that, but this spaces people who try to recover in the perfect distance for a Meteor Smash.

So, FLUDD is FAR from useless.

I'm not so good at knowing when's the best time to use FLUDD. If I want to disrupt an airborne recovery, I'd prefer to use the cape. Especially on Ike.

FLUDD is my favorite of all Mario's moves. It's not the most useful, but when you kill someone with it, it's beyond awesome. It's also spelled in all caps, how cool is that?

The FLUDD is much better then the tornado, you can't gimp recovers with tornadoes, unless that tornado happens to be Link's.

I like the changes. The tornado in melee can only kill instantly at abnout 300% and the one in brawl can kill at 200%. Also in melee my competitors somehow find ways to escape and then I get punished. F.L.U.D.D. is a great move that's been added to Mario's arsenal. You get to deflect many things, gimp, and space.

The Melee Tornado was one of the worst attacks in all of Melee.

The FLUDD is situational, but very useful if used at the right moment. It is good for harassing recoveries. If you FLUDD some recoveries, it can gimp them, or it can set them up in a position that makes them easier to intercept. You can pressure someone recovering from the ledge by spraying them, or you can force someone to the ledge with the FLUDD. You can also mess up someone's spacing with the FLUDD.

Y'know now that I think about it, forcing someone to the ledge with the FLUDD actually sounds amazing as hell. Y'know how amazing techchasing is? Well, yeah. It's like techchasing, but at the ledge. It also disrupts people who like camping near a ledge haha.

This man tell's the truth except for the part about Luigi's sideb, I haven't seen a Mario fludd his sideb yet so I'm not sure.

Well, Luigi's side b gives him momentum, and FLUDD has momentum and is pushing the other way, so it's neutral. It just gives time for a set up after you temporarily stop his recovery.
Anyway, today, my friend was using Marth, was recovering and used his F air. I countered with FLUDD, resulting with him getting F smashed.

like ppl have said FLUDD messes up most characters recoveries making it harder for them to grab the ledge abd putting u in a good position to spike and just stops some characters from recovering altogether without putting yourself at the slightest risk.

DDDs up b, link's up b, ike's side b etc. are a few examples of characters who cannot recover if fludd is used well
