@AceSe3don Yup! I started quite a bit ago. :bee:

Well, of course it has glitches, the typical ones like funky hurtboxes and the tiny shield... Otherwise, it's pretty solid.

And I still can hack, I have everything essential to hacking such as Brawlbox and whatnot...

But hey, I've decided to continue it for the sake of everyone else's enjoyment. And mine too, if we break 4.3 :p

But yeah, if youre interested, PM me what you'll be willing to help me with.

If only Crawling was. Oh well.
Not likt it's useful with the hurtboxes being like that.
Just making minor tweaks to the ftilt hitboxes to make sure the angled ones connect to the second hit.

LeafBarrett, why port Gardevoir over Zelda and have these stupid glitches, when you can always switch it with olimar without any glitches?
I'll tell you something: It's all because of Adding bones.
Well most of them, especially the throw/grab glitch.
1) Voices.
2) Because at least she CAN shield over Zelda. With Olimar, the game just froze. :psycho:
3) Graphic effects.
4) Olimar's neutral special is disabled in midair (much like Peach's & DK's down specials), and simply changing the PSA doesn't solve that; it's probably disabled within fighter.pac, which I can't mess with.

Basically, because over Zelda, I get a (usually) rudimentary functioning character. Over Olimar, I get a complete lolfail.

Oh yeah, and Olimar doesn't have 2 of his Win animations; he just skips straight to the WinWait.

leafbarret, you've tried all the usual stuff with adding the standard bones, indexing them properly, et cetera, right? I know you've been around a while so you probably know to do that, but I just wanted to make sure. There's a list of common bone issues and how to solve them in the OP if not. I only thought to mention it because it freezing over Olimar when he shields sounds like a bone issue.

Gray Fox is a cyborg ninja. He needs to be able to cling to walls and jump off like Shiek or Diddy Kong. Thanks to Nintendo, Meta Knight does not have that ability. Is it a PSA issue? I would love Gray Fox to have wall cling ability added since that would suit him very well.

Tiny shield is Ok with me, but hurtboxes are important, unless you fix them, I might not help.

I figured it was a bone issue. But no, I haven't got a clue how to change bone indexes (if that's what you mean. If not, then I do know about making sure the bone indexes are the same, etc.)
You can use oli's neutral special in the air, look at Brawl minus olimar.
Really? Huh. I dunno why it didn't work for me before, then...

*sigh* Well, I suppose I can try to resize the hurtboxes, although I have absolutely no idea how. :ohwell:

I've heard people mentioning using PSA for that, but.... yeah. I'll see what I can do.

Yes it does, it's supposed to tell you that Dantarion found hurtboxes and was able to modify their size... You don't find that exciting at all?

And that's because you can't right now, you have to wait until Dantarion has everything identified for it and then tell how to do it.

What offsets? ANyway, I can't find where the wall jump flags are, so I probably have to edit fighter.pac, which I need OpenSA and can't open since it encounters a problem and needs to close upon opening.

At least it's a step up from my old problem

I've been AFK, but dumping SFX from MGS1 and MGS1VR.

Now that I'm here, I'm willing to experiment, but I need a ball park offset range.
This is what I got so far from zerobyting the FitMetaknight.pac.

Code:
FitMetaKnight.pac

364-648 - Attributes(again)

CON Naruto showed it's possible to switch around articles so I'll try again with this....

Also, MK's wings are treated as an article in Many subactions and has many article animations..........

Edit: Wait wat??? MetaKnight's Shadow has it's own article ID as 1 as seen in Win1???? Weird.

Edit:2 Sucessfully added arm gun.

Edit3: Froze Again.

It seems Nintendo has done alot to keep hackers like us from editing game files. Once we decode all of it, custom characters will be much easier to understand and edit.

Hammer Bro

-Moveset-

-AAA- Punches once with left towards the ground, comes
back up with a kick from right leg, continues into
a hit with his hammer.

-FTilt- Forcefully smashes hammer with one hand over
his head getting his hammer stuck into the ground for a
half a second, can be followed up with another FTilt by
pulling the hammer out of the ground and slashing you
with the back of his hammer.

-UTilt- Thrusts his head upwards hitting you with his
helmet.

-DTilt- Hides in his shell and attacks fowards.

-FSmash- Smashes outwards with the top of his hammer,
provides a ton of knockback

-USmash- Throws a hammer dirrectly upwards

-DSmash- Spins arround with his hammers dragging on the
ground.

-NAir- Spins in a circle once while hanging on to his
hammer with both hands, not a summersault

-FAir- does a quick sweep in front of him with his hammer, fast enough for two in one short hop.

-BAir- Hits with the back of his hammer

-DAir- Throws his hammer towards the
ground (like G&W), can meteor smash (like Toon Link)

-Dash Attack- Slides on the back of his shell with both legs out in
front of him.

-FThrow- Jumps and smashes with both legs.

-BThrow- Throws backwards by lifting over his head and
falling on his shell, then doing a backwards summersault
to recover.

-UThrow- Throws upwards and launches a hammer.

-DThrow- Throws downs wards, jumps on them in his shell
and spins 3 times.

-Noramal B-

-Side B- Jump Slash: somewhat like peaches side-b, He
takes his hammer swings it behind his back
for a startup and then launches it foward while still
hanging on. He is holding them backwards so the sharp
sides will hit the opponent. it does have a ledge sweet
spot and can be followed up with an up-b.

-Up B- hammer Rain: He trows his hammer directly downwards and jumps with great hight

-Down B- Ground Smash: His hammer sudenly grows to 4x the size
and smashes it into the ground, it does make a
shock wave but the closer the opponent is to the hammer
the more damage will be caused.

I'm still debating weather or not I should make him a Hammer/Boomerang/Fire/Ice bro..... Like each special would change him into a different bro.

Wow, I already finished Gray Fox's face revealed texture that quick and it came out better than I thought it would of. :)

The only problem is that his face is flat. I also wanted to make a seperate bloody face texture (When he got nailed by Rex...) but I couldn't do that due to half of his face being reflected to the other side. Well, download is here:

I might post this on BrawlVault...

Gray Fox - 2nd release coming soon - Ninja editing since Last Week

OK. This post should be used for Gray Fox.

I didn't post this here yet??
Well here he is.

Frank Jeager, the Gray Fox, has made his late arrival!

Download

Here's the old alpha version.
http://www.mediafire.com/?wkyijdd5gzh

I'm making the second version now but ran into a few snags.
See below for more info.

A demonstration Video is right here.
[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ungvg1Lubyg[/youtube]

Gray Fox is a very mobile character. He may not run as fast as Falcon, but he's still fast.

He weighs the same as Yoshi, but falls quickly for a Brawl character. Keep this in mind when you edgeguard.

His jab is similar to his Assist trophy slash, but slightly nerfed from that. In it's current state, it can rack up a lot of damage if you trap your opponent on a wall.

His dash attack has him lunge over a high distance with his sword pointed out.
It's sweet spot is at the tip of the blade.

Gray Fox's utilt functions like Marth's, but with more range.

His forward Smash is a series of 2 connecting powerful hits. It has good KO power, does 25% damage, and decptive range.

The first hit.

and the second hit.

His down air is similar to Marth's but has the sweet spot below him rather than just the tipper.

The Hunter Slash

His Upb (Which I will call the Hunter Slash) behaves similar to Marth's but with a key difference.
There is a second slash that only hits a small range above and/or in front of him that is powerful
and can KO foes that are high at moderate percentages.
Note that the two hits do not link together.

I made a new animation for his up taunt where he "loses himself".

He'll spaz out hand bang his head on the ground.
His head banging will bury anyone near his head.
This move is slow, but can make for quite the shield breaker against anyone foolish enough to shield all the hits.

This taunt is not present in the alpha release but will be in the v0.2 beta.

He can grab items too, but you should throw them rather than swing them.

His Final Smash is still a WIP. It hasn't been looked at since the alpha release but it still works without glitches.

Character Portraits and such
These aren't included in the Alpha release but will be included in the next release.
Here are previews.

CSP portraits

Character Portrait

Character Text

(For PAL spelling)

Battle Portraits

Known Glitches

* His shield is tiny.
When he gets footstooled or throws someone, the foe's polygons get stretched across the screen.
I haven't had this happen when he throws recently since I rebuilt the model as the old one was corrupt.
Although he can grab items, the item appears inside his torso when grabbed, messing up item swings.
Throw the item for the time being.
* Sometimes his hurtbox is huge. Not big enough to fit the screen, but big. I haven't had this glitch since
rebiulding the model yesterday, so inform me if it does happen.

* I have been trying to fix these for the next release but had no luck.

To Do List
Change forward B and tweak down B.
Find a way to make a arm gun appear for his neutral B.
Further improve Graphical effects to better match sword motion.
Make Horizontal Sword swipes reflect projectiles. Still not working despite the defensive collisions.
Fix mentioned bugs.
Sound FX will be looked at when the hurtboxes and shield are fixed. I plan on using the PSX voice of GF with the SFX from TTS.

Change list
v0.2 so far
Created Up taunt and hitboxes for Up taunt
Change Neutral B to an arm gun shooting a laser a la The Twin Snakes
Added better Sword glows
Tweaked ftilt1 and ftilt 2 hitboxes to link slightly better
Runs slightly faster
2 New Victory Animations
Fixed ledge attack (slow) hitboxes
Fixed Shadow
Added electric element to Hunter Slash's second slash hitboxes and hitlag on sweetspot.
Added angled Forward Smashes and forward tilts, each with their own hitboxes and animations.
Change Neutral B from 3 shots to 1.

Yes it is from KC-MM. Please use the BV Link as that is where the updated links will be.

I'll try again on the arm gun. The Mantle from MK is bug free, and it seems the only option is to vertex it into the armgun.

Only one vert set??? hmmm..........

Some of the mantle parts are incredibly stubborn. There are parts that simply do not move.

Edit: After 2 hours of testing with many situations, I managed to get the Cracker Launcher over the mantle slot and somehow managed to get the texture to stop acting ********.

So far, no freezing.

Resizing the cracker launcher is pretty simple.

Time will tell if this stays bug free.

hey, it looks like there's some actual activity going on here again. i suppose i may as well submit what i've been working on.

Waddle Doo Beta 0.1: Download
Waddle Dee Beta 0.1: Download

Waddle Doo's download includes a bunch of different costumes and CSP's to match. he goes over Pikachu.
Waddle Dee only has the essential stuff, costume .pcs file, a MotionEtc, and a PSA.

both will be put on hold for a while though, because the main reason for me posting right now is to re-claim the project i started but had to drop 8 months ago,

the Animal Crosser (it's about the best name i could think of, since they have no definite names). he's the reason i signed up here, and the reason i studied so much into the Brawl bone structuring. his bone structure basically goes from TopN to HipN to his legs, which is why it's taken 8 months to figure out how to make him work. it's a really good thing they decided to take these models from a different game, because all the Smashville characters share almost the same bone structure, meaning the human characters have a lot of bones that aren't connected to the model, so i could move them to where i want. right now, i'm using tail bones for the XRotN, YRotN, and HipN, and a mouth bone for the TransN.

so expect more soon. and i'll leave a pic of the alternate costumes.

i have the spikey haired one as well, he's just not shown. and yes, i know most of them are t-posed, i finally got this working just a few days ago. and for some reason, a few of the animals in the back are missing their heads, and i don't know why. and i'll answer this now, i won't be able to get Tom Nook playable because of certain bones i had to hex into different positions. my original intention was to be able to use about any character from Smashville on this moveset, but now, only the humans.

oh, and Starwaffle, could you link this guide to the OP as well?

http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=276883 or
http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=9248.0

it's the same guide, i posted it here and on KC, but the one here was very quickly buried. i think it's on page 10 now. anyways, it's basically everything you need to model swapping to get a model up to the point of animating and PSA. it has 4 important points to it. 1: how to swap the model. it's simple, but Thunderspam's guide was a little confusing at first, and it was a lot to read, so i shortened it to one paragraph. 2: glitch fixing. it has all my notes on which bones are important, what bones cause which glitches, and how to fix them. 3: bone hexing. it's not an overly important thing, but it does help when a model will only show up with a smash ball. 4: important bone lists. kind of like the one already in the OP, but it has a total bone count, TransN index list, HaveN index list, and a few others.
