Fine I'll MM you, I live in S.FL btw, Phanna lives in SW.FL like 200 miles away. lol

My problem is that Falcon has like a billion ways of getting in and is hard to kill horizontally unless he's below the stage. Thing is, Falcons with good DI can easily survive at ridiculously high %s, esp. on larger stages like Dreamland.

Truth. Most of my falcon kills come from down angled forward tilts and utilts when he's off the stage.

I am having a ridiculously hard time recently with falco, I feel like I'm just trying to survive the pillars long enough to gimp him. Hopefully here soon I can get some videos up and get some help with that match up.

Also I was curious if there was any way to get out of being shined off the top of yoshi's at anything above 30% once the initial pillar starts or is it one of those things that once it starts you're pretty much done.

17 frames is actually pretty quick lol
and also correct
jab comes out in 3 frames
crouch comes out on the 17th frame
have to crouch for 1 frame
then you can start the jab again so basically
Frame 0-17 is your first jab
frame 18 is your crouch animation
frame 19 is the soonest you can start jabbing again, with the hitbox coming out no sooner than frame 21

jab stays out for 2 frames, if it hits something there's hitlag so factor some more frames in there (prolly only 3-4 frames of hitlag at most)

to put 17 frames into perspective...17/60 is .283333 of a second

so it's fairly quick

it sounds so good... but I stopped doing this because my brother would take one hit on his shield and then let go of his shield and crouch cancel the other hit for a grab or an up smash.
It's good if people don't cc it though.

If you already know what your brother is going to do, then do something different. If he's going to crouch cancel the second jab, downtilt instead of jab. If you know what they're going to do when they respond to you that's 60% of the job, done. The rest is 20% coming up with your own plan to counter his and 20% practicing it.

But largely patience and making sure Falco stays off the ledge when you get him off. Also, it's good to watch and see if they CC tech your Up+B at low percents.



Falcon matchup gets frustrating when you're reading their movements but can't counter/ evade because he's so freakin' fast.

Well I guess I have a long way to go, cuz I hate that matchup. It's too much work to break his defense, and there so much risk involved in nearly everything you do unless you have a significant lead.

Such a great set. More fun to watch than other top-ranking Samus players if you ask me. While I'm still only mediocre at this game, I feel I got better with Samus just by watching that.
