I forgot that existed, honestly, I'll think about it. If enough people aren't going to be around for it then I'd probably delay restarting for the day.Oh yeah, am I the only one that feels it may better for the thread to open the day after thanksgiving?
Thoughts?
I'll address this.Z25 Here's what I mentioned to you.
Here's Ryu near the start of Day 3. I'm listed as Ryu's #2 lynch.
Then:
This is directed at me later the same day. I respond to Ryu by quoting my post about you from an hour prior.
To Joey.
Ryu unvotes Z25.
Reasoning, next day. It's 11:28.
11:53.
12:42.
12:47.
1:02.
1:10.
1:15. The Nabe wagon starts here. At this point Ryu should be looking towards players who are around to climb aboard. And whether he's in-thread or away, he could also make a bet that every player will show up at least once before deadline, and tag people ahead of time mentioning me and his case about me.
1:18. Two votes.
1:21. There's the initial three votes.
Joey posts at 1:33, 1:40, 1:46.
1:46.
Ryker at 1:56, "I don't mind the Nabe direction @Funk".
2:14, liked by Ryker.
2:19.
This post is at 2:41. So Joey and Ryker have been floating around for an hour at this point.
2:50 and 2:52. Ryu isn't making a rally or trying to grab any players who are nearby. He's not posting any tags either. So by making this post at 2:52, what Ryu is actually doing is committing to swapping to the main wagon at deadline, which will be Soup.
Z25 votes Soup at 2:56. Joey asks Z at 3:08, "Why Soup over Nabe?" Z's response at 3:21 gives reasoning for Soup, but doesn't rule me out in any respect. At 3:36, Z confirms that he will be here at deadline.
3:21, Ryker says the scumteam likely contains one of Nabe/Ryu.
3:40, Funk says Soup and Nabe lynches are on equal footing. 4:23 is Funk's unvote to avoid voting shenanigans.
4:29. (I can't figure out why you keep saying, "I can't hold Nabe to anything" rather than "Nabe hasn't mentioned any stances" but whatever.)
4:30. At this point there was actually a half-hour left, but regardless of how much time he thought there was, in reality there was ample time to make a Nabe lynch happen since he began the wagon. Ryu wouldn't have started the wagon to begin with if he hadn't thought there was room to make it happen.
I hate all of these wagons lmaoCurrent vote count (as of post #1798):
- Ryker: 0
- KY Joey: 2 (Disfunkshunal, Z25)
- Red Ryu: 2 (Nabe, Ryker)
- Z25: 3 (KY Joey, Red Ryu, Laundry)
Not currently voting: Kantrip
15 minutes remain in this phase.
With 8 players alive, it takes 5 votes to lynch.
Remember that only the four players listed above may be voted for in this phase! Votes for other players will not count.
Hm..last time this choice was given to me, it was setup.I wouldn't want to trust a possible scumRuy for a last second switch.
Z25 your options are vote Ruy or die in the next 2 minutes or so.
You have Ruy’s Code of honor, what do you want?I wouldn't want to trust a possible scumRuy for a last second switch.
Z25 your options are vote Ruy or die in the next 2 minutes or so.
Mehta about Z?vote:ryu
umm no4 Ryu
3 Z25
Not voting - me
Not tryna tie it
I'm curious, why save me last second? What's changed? We need Z25 so that he doesn't die.
This was posted after the deadline, so it's out.vote red ryu

An extremely aggressive horned monster whose uncontrollable fury gives it lethal strength.

First off, the luck and lack thereof:
Lucky stuff:
The final double kill. I didn't even know it was a rule until it was mentioned in thread and we managed to get it set up quickly and efficiently and then execute. I'm proud of my team for that. There was a lot of adjustment when Disfunk showed up.
My V/LA lined up with the start of the game well. I was able to sit out most of the first day phase and tailor my reads with how the game had already shaped up.
Unlucky stuff:
The set-up.
Despite the result of this game, this set-up seems very stacked against Scum. Whenever a scum member dies, the town gains extra mislynches. Townblocks become very hard to deal with without confirming more townies in the process. Well positioned members can't even manage to win the game alone if there are too many mislynches because it becomes a situation where the lynchpool is lynched not based on who is scum and instead on where two "townies" want to lynch in the future. It's very hard with no direct night kill to manage player perspective to that degree.
Why I Exploded At Soup:
I'm still not actually mad at Soup, but I do believe we enter into this game with a social contract. I felt it breached, so I went nova at Soup, which I would normally never do. This allowed me to completely and utterly ignore the remainder of the phase and more if he isn't lynched. This is why you ignore AtE. It is far, faaaaaaar easier for scum to abuse than town. Don't abide it in future, it will only hurt you.
What happened with Z25:
Z25 was flawed on almost every read. It was unfortunate. His pushes were all easily deflected and the things he was right about were coincidental. Since everyone rolled their eyes at actually solving him, he became very easy to leave alive for the future. In fact, with a little bit of prodding, it was pretty simple to keep him looking at a Laundry mislynch.
On the subject of Laundry:
I never had to call him scum, but it was so simple to maneuver other people into doing it for me. I stood by him until the very end (where I still resolved to stand by him), but by asking other people their opinions on certain things, I managed to get most of the thread to continue to hate his slot without cause. He, himself, contributed to it when directed to Nabe's wagon analysis. With both of my mates setting him up to take the fall at some point (though later than he seemed to think), he became a pivotal point on which we could bank our success if we needed a two man victory and ceded me more control over the discourse as he fell out of public favor.
I hope you all read into this an insane amount so I can switch it up in future games to mess with you all.
edit: I think Z was one of the first to suspect Ryker* my badlooking back at it Z didn't play that bad at all
the graveyard at first didn't have the game spoiled but after my death Joey's interactions with Z REALLY made me suspicious of him (Joey) and Z was one of the first to suspect him, so kudos to him
Disco played really well this game, I think me and soup did good with how we were confident that at least one scum was nominated D1, it's a shame that I guessed two and BOTH were wrong LOL but I didn't think Laundry was genuine in his pushes (and I feel like that showed later on when he mostly sided with you on everything), and I already said stuff about Z
sorry Kantrip again, you weren't that scummy and I just got tunnel vision
As a whole town wasn't playing bad, they just didn't have much coordination imo
