Im posting this up even though it is a while a way. Normally I prefer a four month build up, this is a lil longer but meh. I dont think there'll be another tourney before?

This will be my 6th tourney Ive ran. Melee only and don't worry theres no brawl. Venue will be booked for either the 11th or 18th of april. This should coincide with every Uni Easter hols and potentially school hols?

Housing will be provided Fri and Sat night as per usual. SDB welcome to stay thurs and sun aswell.

Travel wise if your coming from London just get a funfare coach to SUNDERLAND (www.nationalexpress.com). They wont be available though till like feb atleast. If your getting the train its abit more complicated. If you can get a direct train to SEAHAM then do this. However, its a small station so unlikely unless your on the east coast line. Most people will have to go by train to DURHAM. Anyone else travelling by coach go to SUNDERLAND.

This will be updated with a proper first page soon. I just wanted to get this up and running so people are aware there is another tournament in the pipeline

Obviously anything can happen in 4 months so I don't want to guarantee coming, but I'd definately be up for it if I could

frozenwave : i heard that would be feb time is that right? if so it still doesnt clash with this. Regardless thats a maybe and this isnt plus its upto someone to put up a thread when that does happen. May aswell get this up :)

Joe - Yeah I just didnt want to complicate things by mentioning three different cities. When i re-do the first post itll have all potential routes of getting to mine (like i normally do) which'll include by train to seaham/newcastle/sunderland, coach to newcastle/sunderland, by car and by plane to newcastle or tees valley. If I were you id look into getting the traint o durham this time. It should work out cheaper and shorter journey time. Id pick you up from there aswell while obv into newcastle ud get tube ^_^

thanks for pointing it out tho

yeay

regards to neo empire i guess the more the better, unless ed has problems housing over a certain amount of people, who much more interest would neoempire create? some forgeiners would possibly be good times.

Ed, cool dude, ill look into it, this is actually going to be absolutely sick!

Ive never had housing issues and this wont be any different. Ill post on neoempire but do you think itll actually matter? are there any players on there?

I dont mind the odd foreigner turning up but in general Im pretty much against it. It usually means me having to fetch them from airports and they booking to stay more than two nights when i dont particularly want to have them about. Housing is for fri and sat only :)

And only two weeks after our own Smash tournament.

This might actually suit my schedule. I might need to book some time off work, and look at the travel logistics, so put me down as a tenative maybe.

Its kinda bad to have too many tournaments near each other. If Smash appears at SvB then we are looking on asking all the peeps from Europe to come cause SvB is a big 3 day event with loads of games.

Frozen : Two months is enuff time. Saying as SvB will be mainly london and southern smashers then expecting to travel two months later during your school/uni hols isnt a big ask. On top of that its cheap as **** travelling from london to sunderland. I dont expect youll het a huge 'normal' uk turnout cos you cant house. On top of that good luck in getting alot fo europeans. Your going to have to advertise alot better than that ****ty thread a SvB person posted recently on smashboards, theres also a lack of UK and european smashers elite realtionship at present to entice them to turn up AND you cant house! ive never seen smashers move on mass to a large european tourney without the prospect of being put up!

Ill come to SvB btw. Im just saying dont be posting on this topic undermining it. If SvB happens great. As itll be the nearer tourney itll get hte hype, then itll subside and my tourney thread will pick up again. People have been upset a tlack of tourneys and now your arguing that we have to many? The idea of having 3 in 6 months is awesome for maintaining interest of new players, coercing old players back in and for general competition.

Deadeyer -Fly into Newcastle or Durham Tees Valley. Check aer arann, aer lingus, ryanair and easy jet. Bring rest of the irish :)

PRO : 2 nights housing so u aint needing to be arsed by the trip. Get a overnight coaacht hat gets u into sunderland for like 7am. Sleep it off friday morning. Beers, alot of banter and a nicce bbq both nights. Whats the problem?

December's kinda crazy for me, but I'll give flights a serious look as soon as Christmas is over. If I can do it cheap, I'm cool with popping over for a bit of Smash. And I love barbeques.

Dunno about the rest of the Irish, I'll talk to them at our next big meeting, but I'm quite happy to travel alone.

If you haven't been to one of Ed's tournaments, you haven't played smash. If you've been to one of Ed's tournaments, you would go to all subsequent ones.

Tbh I am the best at cooking on smashboards. I have been taught by the best....MY MUM. And since I am BLACK I have been taught how to season up the CHICKEN the day before the meal and leave it to marinate and go through the whole process of making meals with the seasoning which is the most important part, not just salt and pepper :D.
I am black though and I like chicken, thats got to suprize someone?!?!?
