1) That's a good question. I vision him mostly doing bike tricks as attacks. For idle and general movement, he'll be off his motorbike. Only when he uses certain attacks does the bike appear. They can take Wario's Side Special and give it to Excite Biker for his side special. Up special could be that he makes a mini ramp (from Excite Bike) appear underneath him and he can flip up to recover. Down special he could skid the bike across and hit the opponent. Maybe the Neutral special could be a wheelie hop XD
That's all I've thought of for now.
I would have to have a proper thought about how he'd work in terms of general attacks and throws.
Perhaps observing some stunts might help to get some ideas:

2) I don't particularly want a new FE character as such. Anna is a character that interests me mostly, but I just think Chrom deserves an upgrade. I know that might seem like a bad reason, but I'm usually terrible at explaining things D:
Well, I don't have much more to say than I did before, but from a character perspective I understand the choice. However, from a series perspective, and a Smash perspective, I think there are better options out there. Not my call though.

You really can have both. Excitebiker represents series coming all the way up the Wii, while Mach Rider is pure retro. Their games are also way different from eachother.
I dont think i've seen a roster universally given glowing praise before, sure there are nitpicks, but no "omg where is X!"

Personally, i'm a big fan of it as well.
Chrom, Ridley, and minimal (zero?) cuts is big points with me.
The number of characters isnt reasonable, and one or two of characters aren't either, but it's an ideal one so who cares
I don't find it very Sakurai like at all. Not that that's a knock against the roster.
1) It has pretty much all the fan-favourites, as opposed to a few. How many fan favourites got in Smash 4? Palutena, Little Mac, Mega Man, Mewtwo. Maybe Shulk.
2) It doesn't have many characters people didn't think "made sense" until they were added. Which doesn't bother me, more room for fan favourites.
3) It has a few genuine unorthodox picks, but most are only surprises because Sakurai wouldn't pick them over people not desiring them.
The reason I like it is so much is because it's not a Sakurai roster. It's very unlikely we'd get Ridley, K. Rool, Isaac, Andy, Bandana Dee, Chrom, Skull Kid, Excitebiker and Dark Samus on a Sakurai roster. We'd probably not see Ribbon Girl over Spring-Man and Takamaru or Nook either. I don't believe we'd see that many series get new reps. We'd never see no cuts. We'd never see characters that haven't made a recent splash included past like... a single, maybe two retros.
And these aren't bad things, they're just not the direction Sakurai would take the roster in. And that's a reason I enjoy it.

4/10 seems like a really low score, considering that you don't have a problem with about 2/3 of the newcomers, and the only major issue (or at least the only one which got multiple negative signs) was the lack of a Xenoblade character. (they might not be familiar with that series, though between Fiora (from XB1), Elma (from XBX), Rex, and Pyra (both from XB2), there are plenty of options)

Don't mean to sound rude, but I honestly couldn't care less the details behind people's hate boners for Dark Pit. I am well aware of them, and it changes nothing about the way I see it. I hate Cloud with a (semi) burning passion, but that's not enough for me to axe him from the roster. I use logic and reasoning for my roster choices, and scrapping one out of the entire pre-existing roster solely because I don't like them goes against that.
Do I agree that Dark Pit's one of the "weakest links" in the roster? Yes.
However, as a practically last-minute freebie, his addition literally didn't have any negative consequences other than people getting triggered just to see his face on the CSS. And I can't empathize with them on that. Especially since I saw his inclusion as a late addition clone coming even before Smash 4 was officially announced.
The only thing I can actually "hate" is that most of his attack properties are the exact same as Pit's despite the Silver Bow and the Palutena Bow having differing melee strengths in Uprising, the fact he uses the same goddamn Orbitars instead of changing them up like the Electroshock Arm, and not using the Dark Pit Staff for more than just a Zelda Final Smash copy when the weapon is used prominently in how he's portrayed in Smash except in his own moveset. Basically, I hate how he isn't how he SHOULD be as a clone. But seeing as he was likely the last one to be added as a clone, I am understanding of why he is the way he is.
Except I do like Dark Pit as a character too so idm seeing him on the roster and the hate is only here due to fan-speculative rules and resonings behind everything in debates... which can be true.

Good: Zelda FE Kirby Metroid DK series. Zelda even tho Skullkid isn't my preferred choice for another one off character but I'm happy with any one offs appearing. Great that Dark Samus is there too.

Chorus Kids Inkling Ribbon Girl. Ribbon over Spring ladies and gentlemen. Both equal mascots but Ribbon is more popular anyway.
Neutral: No Mario newcomer cos I don't want one since prefer other series having newcomers butn't deny they would be fun.
Andy I still don't care for any of his potential or character design but sure. He's the new Isaac for me I stopped being against Andy cos a 3D model could look alright and he would be unique so eh.

Tom Nook cos as someone who dislikes any AC content in Smash apart from villager itself, that annoying looking dude along with Isabelle is too much for me. And IDK if either of them will be fun like Villager. I wouldn't be annoyed with 1 newcomer for AC even if I barely ever use them.
Excitebiker because I still believe Mach Rider can do everything Excitebiker can do and more. Sure it sold way more and is more of a classic but I'm for the Fun First view and Mach Rider would be better imo.
Wtf is Andross doing here I would not see that coming even more than Duck Hunt. Anyways...Wolf /Krystal / both is enough.

You guys do understand the point is not to create your ideal roster what with these ultra subjective +/- ratings, yeah?
All that really matters is the characters make sense to include, or omit, even if they aren’t ones Sakurai would choose.
In that vein I think that roster is pretty good. It has several characters I personally wouldn’t care to see on the roster, but my only gripes are that ARMS doesn’t merit two characters yet, and while Sylux has the potential to be a major player in the Metroid series, and therefore make sense as an inclusion, I don’t believe he’s there yet. Let’s see after Prime 4.
But there is something inherently wrong with giving a rating for how much the roster caters to personal taste, because the goal was never to conforms to any one individual's personal taste. You're rating something the roster wasn't intended for. Or at least, you're producing a score generally meaningless as far as making a "better" roster in the eyes of anyone but you. Can you guys not look past your opinion regarding characters that others might like and still see that as a positive?
How is including Takamaru a negative? How is including Decidueye worth eight pluses? They might be your opinion, which you're definitely entitled to, but these aren't helpful metrics.

Well it's an alright roster. None of the characters really make me go wow but it works I guess. Why Tingle though? I wouldn't really say he has the potential or the popularity to get out of his AT role.

When I made this roster, I still cared about "muh reps" and I thought Zelda should have 7 characters, and I knew Tingle is a recurring character in Zelda, so I added him. I could've gone with Impa, but she's too simillar to Sheik.
Still torn over whether I want a 70 character roster or a 75 one. Some characters had to go, and among them were Isaac (Sorry N30N) and Elma for Rex (Sorry Swamp and Bebe Mignon).

Nah she rrly isn't. Peach Zelda and Rosalina are all princess yet very different. Why should impa and shiek be too similar lmao.

Strange I never got to this topic post wise, one of the most interesting.
My roster has Mimikyu, Doc Louis, Ghirahim, Dixie Kong and Mach Rider on it as far as newcomers. I'm expecting a Splatoon and ARMS character but, I'm not interested in them. Ridley is worth an honorable mention.
Guys, I made this roster back in January, it's super outdated. I had a different mindset back then (I cared about "muh reps" and was somewhat of a Nintendo purist)
I'm working on a new roster with my friends IRL.
I'd recommend going with a 75 roster, since it lets you add more characters (The current roster is only 12 characters away from 70, and that's without even bringing back any cuts).
