I'd say Palutena, Bandana Dee, or Pac Man (Hopefully not...). Other than that I was hoping for Krystal to get along with new Star Fox U trailer.

Plus, I honestly don't think a 4th Star Fox character is needed, especially over a 3rd Fire Emblem or Donkey Kong character.

Cutting a character because you think he was a fad when he has been popping up Nintendo games since he was created and still is as shown by Tomodachi Life?

When I mean console rep I mean they are literally represent the sytem, Ice climbers represent their games, hence why we get an Ice Climber stage and Ice Climber Music.

And ther IS arguable evidence suggesting R.O.B. is back, the Balloon Fight stage.

Because R.O.B. IS the NES rep, he would be given a stage that looks identicle to its NES appearence. JUST like in Brawl.

What did Ice Climbers get when they were added? An Ice Climber stage that looks nothing like its NES appearence
What did Pit get (Who IS also the retro character of Brawl) when he was added? A stage that didn't really look like anything from his games.

What did Mr Game & Watch get when he was Added? A stage that looked like you were playing on a Game & Watch
What did R.O.B. get when he was added? A stage that looked like you were playing on an NES. And now we have another stage just like that one. Kinda like how Mr Game & Watch got another stage that looked like you were playing on the G&W

There is no reason you have to cut R.O.B.
There is no reason you have to cut Ice Climbers (beside technical issues that are probably fixed)
There is no reason why this would mean Takamaru can't be playable with them!!

Also, Sakurai has NEVER cut a series entirely.
We have Squirtle, Lucas, Ivysaur, Snake and Wolf who would most likely get lower priority and you have of the confirmed characters, Toon Link and Ike who would have thought get given lower priority.

People are just making the same mistakes again when they thought Mr Game & Watch would get cut in Melee.

There is literally nothing suggesting ROB would return to this game. The pattern you made of consul characters is also just ridiculous, as game & watch's stage is shown to represent the game & watch games. Ice climbers stage was made to represent the Ice climbers game. Pit's stage was made to represent the Pit games. None of these looked anything like the games they were from. This is because an Ice climbers stage, Pit stage, and game and watch were characters in the game. These patterns you keep finding are crazy, as there have been only three games, and they can really do whatever the heck they want, they don't have to stick to this retro character and classic character theme, you are just thinking way too much into who they put into games and categorizing them. Similar to how people thought since the Pokemon series always got a new character for all the two games they did it who represented the latest movie or generation they MUST be doing it again. Now we have lucario back. They thought since there were two fire emblem characters in each game, keeping marth and replacing the second fighter with the newest protagonist of the fire emblem series, but now we have Ike returning as well. My point: these patterns literally prove absolutely nothing. For all we now maybe Nintendo has decided that they want to only show new characters, and remove all these "consul characters" or "retro characters" We do, however, now that Sakurai mentioned the Ice climbers in an interview, said that he is cutting characters, and that Nintendo needs to advertise its new series and games that will put them back into the spotlight. Taking these actual facts into account, ROB is a character that does not fit Nintendo's criteria. As far as i am concerned these are all things suggesting he is getting cut: case and point 3 > nothing.

Can basically guarantee Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Snake are gone
Wolf, Lucas, and Jigglypuff are still on the edge as well

I think Jigglypuff is the only one of these not on the edge since Jigglypuff is not a clone and has been around since the original smash

does anyone know what time the, Main E3 Direct, E3 Smash Direct, and the E3 ??? Direct are going to be showed in Central Time Zone? It'll be hard to avoid spoilers after they do air, so I want to see them as quickly as possible.

The Nintendo Digital Direct (one hour) would start at 11:00 am Central Time and the Invitational Tournament is starting at 6:00 pm Central Time. I do not believe that there is a Smash specific Direct, perhaps you are referring to the Q&A session (an hour and a half) which starts at 9:00 pm CT. Each of these events are on Tuesday, to be clear.

I think the general consensus here is that most people want one, or a combination of, Star Fox, Metroid or F-Zero. Honestly, I can't hope to agree with them more than I already do, at least for Metroid and Star Fox.

I was shouting from the rooftops in the Direct thread that something having to do with Pokémon would be revealed that day due to this. Although I was wrong on the details (I predicted Mewtwo), I was correct in the base assumption!

Now, on the official Smash FB page there are three characters who are out of their borders on the cover photo.



Pikachu, Kirby, and Sonic are the three I'm referring to. Pikachu hints at Mewtwo (Jiggs will remain secret like always), Kirby hints at Meta Knight, and Sonic hints at Pac-Man (due to both of them being third-party). I believe Snake will be revealed for many different reasons, but my personal bias is also there. And Mii is inevitable.

Micaiah and Chrom is who I think we would get.

I'm really hoping that along side some SMT x FE we will learn Micaiah will have a big role in that game, mainly since Ike snipped some of her time to shine. I think that Ike, Marth, Chrom, Micaiah, Lyn, and Cadea will be the main FE characters in that game.

I'm hoping we see Pokken Fighters, as well as a crossover title. Zelda and Fire Emblem would be cool, and so would Starfox, Metriod, and F-Zero since they all need a reboot. New IP will be shown too.

If we do get a CGI Trailer I'm trying to think who it could focus on.. maybe Palutena, Shulk, and then a wildcard like the Chorus Men? Pacman could be revealed afterwards like Snake and Megaman. I could see Mii getting revealed after the Invitational Tournament but five newcomers might be a bit much.
