Both kind of. I just don't see Ridley and King K Rool as "blending in". Maybe they will. There's more to it than that, but I think some fans take their feelings too far. I think they are way too controversial to be "definite" as I've heard a lot of fans say. I'll point out to them that they still have competition and logistics involved, and ect, and they call me out like I'm ignorant and stupid. As long as someone accepts the fact that they are not "positively getting in" I'm fine that someone.

The fans that DO say I'm stupid, I'd say need to think beyond their dreams. That makes me kind of want their Ridley-in-shining-armor not make it. Not only so I kind of proved my point, but also because I'm glad those people would be sad.

This next paragraph is just an example of how Nancy Grace believed something that she thought was certain, and she was mad when it didn't go as she expected it. If you are uninterested, don't read it.
I hate Nancy Grace. During George Zimmermin's trial, she was so certain he would be found guilty. She would tell everyone from a rooftop how bad this guy was, and how he deserves to be punished. She said stuff like "I heard this one guy say he thought he'd be innocent. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!! OF COURSE HE'S GUILTY AND HE'LL BE FOUND THAT WAY!!! Why do we even need a trial...?" She ranted and ranted, and I got kind of mad. She wasn't seeing a rational standpoint. SHE was being ignorant. Not me. So when the trial happened, and he was found Not Guilty, I was kind of happy. Not only because of the trial and how George isn't going to live his life in prison, but because I won something over Nancy. I saw reason and she didn't.

Anyway, that is kind of how I feel about the Ridley/King K/Mewtwo fan base. The ignorant ones, I should add. I'll be happy for you if they make it. You have the decency not to insult everyone with a different belief.

I never considered K.Rool or Ridley as shoe-ins.

* The 3 Characters are all 10+ years old
* Extremely popular and come from extremely popular franchises (they are true allstars)
* Smash Needs more Villians & Heavyweights than it does Females
* All 3 Characters could have a really unique moveset and fill a role that missing in the roster

And theres probly a few other things i missed but they are the main points.

People dont support the BiG 3 for no reason and they are far from bandwagon characters.

They are brought up everywhere and people that dont support feel like they are shoved down there throats and treated wrongly if they dont support em or go against em.

Yes some people are like that and although i am a supporter i am not that person but i will apologise on whoevers behalf for you for those people that treated you or the chars you support like crap......

Like i said many times RealTalk there is gonna be butthurt search youtube vids and check a few wish/prediction list they are alot of characters that are supported just as much globaly/on other sites.

I for one dont think any of these chars will make it and very few of them are deserving imo And then theres ofc the BiG 3.

Plus how the newcomers have been selected so far plus the Gematsu leaks things are looking bad for The BiG3.

So just sit back put on your sunglasses and Relax try to remember why you like smash bros in the first place be hyped for your new re-vamped vets in HD with a online mode that doesnt suck as hard as Weepingbell.


All this Char specualtion im telling will kill all the hypw you had for this game you spend like the whole build up (2 years) specualting and heavily emotionaly invested in the newcomers and if it dont pay of your gonna be butthurt and you wont enjoy the game when you have it and thats the most important thing.

Characters believe it or not are not the be all end all of this game....balance and gameplay are imo thats why i sold brawl 4 months after release and i still has my Melee.

I care more that my Smash default main Bowser is finally where he should be and hopefully wont get molested by space animal anymore for the past 10+ years (or atleast not as hard)


That alone with HD grapichs better online and im damn sure a re-vamped Ganondorf (he cant get worse than brawl)

Mewtwo returning (which i am as sure as Palutena)
Plus he will be revamped

Hopefully Samus and DK not sucking or as much as they did in Brawl and im fricking happy!

And newcomer wise i got screwed over the hardest but i hardly complain about it...brawl didnt add no one for me except cut my Mewtwo and nerferd my lovely Samus and made DK crap.

And Sm4sh so far hasent added anyone i give a damn about but respect and like some chars added to what fame/and what they bring to the game

People dont support the BiG 3 for no reason and they are far from bandwagon characters.

Yeah, bandwagoning ruins it for people who legitimately care. Same thing with, outside of character support, but stuff like loving Majora's Mask. It's turned into a "hipster bandwagon" where people who have legitimately loved the game since forever, and had to deal with people telling them it sucked in the early 2000's are not being told they're idiots for being on a bandwagon of people who like it now. I am always resentful when things I like turn me into a target because of new people liking it.

And not because "Oh, I liked it first", I don't care. It's because I -did- like it, and people act like I didn't and that I'm part of some hivemind because it was the cool thing to do.

This also goes for a lot of characters. There are characters that are popular, or in the Gematsu rumor or people think are "shoe ins" that I always wanted. But I will get lumped in with people that didn't care from the start.

I want more villains, primarily because I feel like series should have their protagonists & antagonists. It allows for fun battle scenarios, and Event Matches. And it just feels good to have the "gang all here" when possible.

Is it annoying when people shove things in your face? Yeah, but they're generally doing it because they're passionate about it. It's usually unintentional.

Like Sheik, Squirtle & Ivysaur didnt take time to develop to put into the game....lmAo....Sakurai even said Brawl had 39 Characters NOT 35!!!

He didnt take time, effort to develop Zelda and Charizard in brawl left em how they are and over night the game itself magicly made Sheik, Ivysaur & Squirtle and that 8 Pokemon Chars were planned for Brawl but we only got 7 (still more than mario) and people saying now Pokemon cant have 6 Reps in Sm4sh? When it had 7 in brawl thats there excuse to why Mewtwo wont return....(-_-)

I knew Ike Would Return i was damn sure we would get 3 FE chars in Sm4sh and i think R.O.B & Snake will return too.

I don't feel like the Mewtwo fans are even in the same class as the K.Rool or Ridley fans. Most Mewtwo fans I know are very hopeful, but our character was included in Smash once, and cut from Smash once. Mewtwo is also still at the forefront of Pokemon movies and advertising. That is a LOT more than I could say for the other two. We also tend to not be as fanatical, since we already know the pain of having our favorite character cut from the game. We know that Mewtwo is as expendable as the rest of the cast. And you know? If Mewtwo doesn't make it back in, it's not the end of the world for me. I'll be kinda sad, but I do enjoy other characters.

There's also the visual factor. Mewtwo is rather sleek and pleasant to look at, with a unique color scheme. Non-Meta Ridley has his bones showing, and is truly nightmarish to look at. K.Rool, as much as I like him, is kinda fat and disgusting. I don't hate Ridley or K.Rool, I just don't think they fit in well with the rest of the cast. Will I be upset if they make it in? No. The more, the merrier. However, I think both have challenges, as far as fitting into Smash goes.

Is it wrong that I'm hoping for Ivysaur?
Seems like such a waste of a good moveset to have him cut. I mean, its not like he was a clone character like Roy, Dr. Mario or Pichu.
But damn, having too many first gen reps would be weird. Then again, it was/is the most popular gen. Like, most of Megaman's moves are based off of his most popular game, Megaman 2.
But, Ivysaur was never even a popular pokemon from first gen. He's the middle child of Bulbasaur and Venasaur who nobody pays attention to.

Speaking of potentially wasted movesets, cutting Snake would be nuts. Definitely the most unique moveset in smash history.

Not sure if you're directing this at me, or agreeing or what, because I didn't say popular=shoe-ins. I'm in agreement with you. Although I didn't think Ike was back UNTIL Toon Link was revealed, and moreso when Lucario was.

The only time you lost me was at "7 pokemon". We had Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Lucario, Charizard, Squirtle & Ivysaur.

Anyway, I love the idea of 6 Pokemon solely because it replicates the size of a team.

My theory, back when Greninja was revealed, was that it could easily emulate the part progression of a team in Pokemon X/Y.

Pick Froakie, catch Pikachu, pick Charmander, Korrina's Lucario joins you, catch Jigglypuff in the Pokemon Village, then catch Mewtwo in the cave.

I also support the idea of a Grass Type to keep the cycle left by Pokemon Trainer.

But I won't be that surprised if it doesn't work out how I expect.

I like to think that at least 3 reveals is certain. I would HOPE that we get AT LEAST 5, to match the Direct.

I foresee mostly veterans, but at least 1-2 newcomers seems pretty obvious.

I'd be surprised otherwise.

However, I would simultaneously expect it, because I expected different results from the Direct.

I think the fact that Luigi had his own year may have something to do with this. Though I will say that Luigi should still be unlockable, since that has always been the trend for the Super Smash Bros. series.

I hope that theres a mode where you can make your own character skins.If you play online with randoms they could be only viewable for you, but friends can see them online tho. The skins could be transferred from 3DS to Wii U and vice a versa.

They're my two most wanted characters. That said, I doubt Ridley's in and K. Rool could really go either way in my eyes. Also, I'm not really going to have a major breakdown if one or both of them are deconfirmed; not every character can make the cut.
