Well, the new way to do this is with the CC. I found out that using X Y L or A B L. This changes the super fast tapping to a sliding motion and timing. Compared to the predecessors, it's really easy to do this way. However, the biggest challenge, is learning the setup. It's not really that hot, but it's something.
Looking into the GC now.
EDIT: This really depends on what controller you use. Fortunately, I have a big, medium, and small controller to test the variation.
NOTE THE CONTROLS DID NOT CHANGE EXCEPT FOR L (which is atk). THE METHOD IS THE EXACT SAME WAY.... Y X L
Small GC: Since all the buttons are close together, it shoudn't be hard to slide your hand across from Y to X. If your controller one of those small gamestop ones, then the buttons are high enough to easily slide your hand w/o hitting A.
Medium GC: The sliding is a bit tougher because their isn't enough space between Y and X to just slide with your thump flat. Use the tip of your thump to slide from Y to X and your should get the DJ immediately. Just learn to time X and L at almost the same time.
Large GC: You would think that this would make the big GC the easiest....Wrong. It's actually the hardest of the three. (Gamestop's bulky one) The Y and X are placed so far, that your hand has to slide around the A button. Not only that, it makes the timing hard to do cause your hand cannot slide fast enough around the A button (consistently anyways).
Now....I know that some of you use L as jump. So I know that you guys are gonna be like "yay DR is easier, yet it made ETS harder T_T". The small GC users don't have to worry about this cause you can slide it easily from Y to B. As the controller gets bigger, the harder it gets. Not to the point where it's too hard though. If you don't know what to do now to get the ETS easy again, just slide your thumb from Y to X. Yeah, you'll pivot instead of sliding a few times, but it's doable.
Lol. Well, this is my first wall of text. Hope this helps out everyone.
