Considering that to you, he must have completely canon moves in order to mean anything (despite his cloned moves not being canon themselves), it's not surprising.
In fact, it is completely pointless to even attempt to impress you, which is your clear intention. All in all, it's just prolonged trolling in disguise.

I was expecting Golden to say something like that. But I agree with him.

I think I would emphasize less the fact that he's a combat medic and more the fact that he's an unlicensed doctor.

Like, for his down throw, I'd like him to throw the enemy on the ground and quickly start doing CPR with a plunger.

Every time he throws pills at someone, I want to see him shrug as if he has no idea what the pills will do and he's just hoping for the best.

I want him to test reflexes using a tap from his giant wooden hammer.

I want his side special to be him taking out charge paddles and shocking someone to stun them, but if nobody's next to him he just accidentally throws them like a heavy taser.

I would want his expression to be constantly veering between "Oh geez, what am I doing" to "Don't worry. I'm a doctor."

Dr. Mario does cure people in Dr. Mario 64 (in the beginning of the Story mode), so I wouldn't call him unlicensed.

Ah, yes. Forgot about that.
I'm pretty sure Doc Mario knows what he's doing.

Well... that's not nearly as fun as Mario, Accidental Angel of Mercy MD. He could still use the heart paddles as a taser though.

Gotta say though, my favorite thing about maining the Doc was how satisfying his forward aerial punch was and how idiotically effective his cape could be. Hate to say it, but I probably wouldn't really play the Doc much if he came back as a straight clone... I find plumber Mario really boring to play as in Brawl.

No seriously. Swap around Mario and Dr.Mario's Forward Aerial and see which of the two becomes more popular.

Considering that Dr. Mario has a faster air speed than Mario, it's next to impossible to tell whether Doc's Forward Air would work as well on Mario or not.

So again I say it must be fun being ignorant.

So that teeny bit of air speed difference would completely change the fact Doc's Forward Aerial would be less effective on Mario? I sure hope you're not serious.

Go home Diddy, you're drunk. :troll:

But even without that little error in what you were trying to argue, you have shown little comprehension.

I was not even arguing that Doc's Forward Air would not work for Mario. I was saying that it is "next to impossible to tell whether Doc's Forward Air would work as well on Mario or not".

I really don't see why people focus on giving Mario Doc's properties just because his style happens to be better suited for tournament rules than Mario.
....Newsflash, people: Being ranked for a specific ruleset of gameplay doesn't automatically mean they are better. Just that they are better suited for that ruleset.

I actually did pretty well with Mario in both Melee and Brawl. Dr. Mario had more strength but Mario seemed to be faster, perhaps I am wrong. I like Mario in Brawl but against some characters he is uncompetitive.

Cause it's much easier to kill other with Doc. :p No seriously, a buffed F Air and F Smash does a lot. Especially if those two moves on vanilla Mario are much worse. Or take much more skill / spacing to use effectively.

Buffed F Smash?
You REALLY don't know Doc, do you? The F Smash is one of the worse things between him and Mario. I mean, sure, the move doesn't have a sourspot like Mario's does, but the range is absolutely pitiful (Where the sourspot is on Mario's is how far Doc's is). By the time someone is close enough for you to hit with it, they could've already hit you first.

The move may be stronger, but it is much less reliable.

I'd rather risk missing Doc's F Smash than sourspotting Mario's F Smash.

Dental Checkup:

Dr.Mario pulls his opponent in an old skool dentist chair and starts mauling away with over the top, outdated dentist equipment.

Party Pill Poppin':

The stage's lights turn of and pills start dropping everywhere similar to King Dedede's Final Smash in a sence.

Virus Frenzy:

Red, Blue and Yellow Virusses come on stage and wreck **** up.

Death by Blocks:

Tetris-like blocks from Dr.Mario start falling from the sky and heavily damage multiple opponents.

How's that for someone not even a Doc fan?

Diddy's Dentist FS is more favorable to that idea. (To be clear, the Dentist idea is the one I'm least fond of out of the ones Diddy gave, since Dr. Mario is a physician, not a dentist.)

I've always been fond of the Intensity Slider.

Dr. Mario looks up and a slider shows up above him, the number above is marked zero and it is slided all the way to the left. He then jumps and grabs the slider and moves it all the way to the right, changing the number to 100! Suddenly Viruses swarm the stage and latch onto opponents. Dr. Mario's Megavitamins are now supercharged, meaning that throwing the right Megavitamin at opponent covered with Viruses of the same color will do incredible damage and knockback. The Viruses do damage on their own and cause side effects to the enemy players (Burn Damage for Fever, Ice Damage for Chills, Reversed Controls for Weird).

So basically, Death by Blocks and Virus Frenzy combined?

Essentially, yes.
But Dr. Mario can still throw the Megavitamins, rather than them just falling from the sky.

Yeah, the idea I had is similar to the Tetris one.

Megavitamin Barrage: Doc jumps off screen and starts dropping pills over the stage. The pills are controlled like in Dr. Mario (both halves of the pills are different colours). If a pill falls on an opponent, it will do some damage and knockback. However, if Doc matches 3 of the same colour sides together (vertically or horizontally), the same side of the pills will disappear and create an explosion dealing more damage. I was thinking that when the pills explode, it could release viruses that quickly disappear, but having effects on the opponents if touched.

It's probably not that innovative, but I'm not one for coming up with movesets lol.

Though, if all else fails, this guy can always help out:

I don't really see Daisy getting a slot on the roster this time.

i hope she dosent because its just another clone in the making
Daisy doesn't have a ghost of a chance. Neither does Rosalina.

Bowser Jr. is pretty likely though. As is Toad, Waluigi and Paper Mario.

Was Dr. Mario a step for Nintendo? I don't really think it does. Dr. Mario was added because having a Doctor costume for Mario with fireballs coming out seemed awkward to Sakurai. Dr. Mario didn't really bring an innovation, and later in Brawl, Dr. Mario was cut. Sure he was listed on several Nintendo games list as the most influential, but him as a playable character would be in the way for other Mario characters. (In which Geno ((The most appreciated RPG sidekick)), Pauline ((The first damsel of Mario)), and probably E. Gadd ((part of Luigi's Mansion, which had a sequel, and maybe the Year of Luigi might help him in some way)) could possibly be in SSB4.)
It's best for him to be a costume for Mario to prevent clone issues.

Actually, Dr. Mario was added because someone wanted to include his music in Melee. Odd reason, I know.

I agree, he didn't bring anything innovative. But that didn't stop him from being planned for Brawl. In any case, if there is DLC for Smash 4, I can guarantee he would be among the first characters for it.

Geno's an overrated sack of crap, Pauline is useless (and would be a DK character), and E. Gadd is a mere side character.
If you're going to be talking characters that Dr. Mario could "get in the way of", talk actual important characters to the series like Toad and Bowser Jr. instead of lesser characters that won't get in Smash even if Dr. Mario doesn't. (Aside from Geno, who might get in because of his immense albeit stupid support for Smash).

Nintendo treats like a servant to Peach nowadays, despite his powers in SMB2, none of his super strength came back in the NSMB games either. I don't think it would be interesting to fight as a servant, he doesn't bring anything big to change Nintendo's direction. Bowser Jr. is just Bowser son, he brings nothing big either.

Yoshi is mainly treated as Mario's horse. A glorified power-up. Aside from that, Luigi's high jumping wasn't in the NSMB games either (excluding the Super Luigi Wii U DLC).
Bowser Jr. is Bowser's Luigi; he's the secondary villain of the series.

In comparison, none of who you brought up bring anything let alone anything big.
