Just recycling the old thread because I can and it's free.

So yeah, I'm going to be hosting a gdlk event. Get hyped. Everyone knows the rules by now so I'm not gonna make a large post regarding it, but:

3 stock, 8 minute timer
50 ledge grabs
Stage striking system will be in effect

Characters allowed in low tiers:
Single Ice Climber
Sonic
Bowser
Ike
Pokemon Trainer
Ness
Lucas
Yoshi
Zelda
Mario
Samus
Captain Falcon
Link
Jigglypuff
Ganondorf

Neutrals:

The schedule events will be:

Low tier teams
Low tier singles
Teams
Singles

Doors open at 11, the first event will start around 12. I can house a few people Friday night, talk to me in advance about it.

House fee: $2 ($1 off for each setup item you bring, this includes recording equipment, TVs, Wiis)
Low tier events: $5
Normal events: $10



My house can be reached from NYC by taking the 197 bus from Port Authority towards Warwick. The 197 also stops at the Willowbrook Mall, which is a convenient location for some people. Call somebody at the venue and they'll come get you.

Later in the day, we'll order collectively from a nearby pizzeria. They have some sandwiches and various other meals as well. Around my house, there's a deli, multiple pizzerias, a ShopRite, Walgreen's, McDonald's, etc. All of these places are no more than 5 minutes away by car.

This isn't just some silly house tournament, everyone should come to this!

Yes, my house is definitely large enough for a tournament of 30+. Beats the **** out of the Got Milk venue, and that had over 50. Let's step it up and attend!

Tourney at Zucco's house would be legit. His parents are assassins and bought a huge castle with their hit money.

Would anything start around 6:30? I do something on saturdays at 9 and i'll get home a little after 6. Also I gotta get my stuff and drive myself over there. Can you give an approximate schedule? At least the order (is regular or low tiers first)

I wonder how bad I am... hopefully I'll get to see this saturday if I can compete with anybody decent.

And Inui... there is no excuse to have a DK weakness... he has enough bad matchups that he is easy to CP.

Nope, not even decent Snakes can just **** me anymore. I have a good Dedede again. I beat Bizkit at GameTable with Dedede, remember? I just get ***** by the really good ones and can't use MK vs Snake at all.

DK loses nothing worse than 60/40 no matter what. He's a legit good character. What are you talking about?

No I dont remember. I didn't go to that tourney nor did I look at the bracket to see the wins of each player.

Yeah...60:40... that means it's really hard for the DK.

As long as you know the matchup you should be fine. \

(When in doubt go to that short character with a mask who flies and keep pressing B)

...lol. The matchup is awful. DK can't land or approach Falco and is disadvantaged everywhere. Do you seriously think I'm enough of an idiot to believe that that's what makes it a bad match?
