So

Kazuya’s music?

just include the fire ass Tekken 6 song from Heihachi’s Mii segment and we’re good honestly

…yes I haven’t played much Tekken and I am ashamed of that fact. :drsad: If anyone wants to gift me 6 or 7 on Steam I’d appreciate that
Hey, I haven't even played Tekken once, so don't be ashamed. My only experience with Tekken was the Devil Jin moveset in Soulcalibur 5. My only reason for knowing a bit about Tekken is looking up info, scenes, crossovers and whatnot from Wikis, youtube videos and etc.

Same with Assassin's Creed. Don't know much about it aside from watching my dad play the first one with Altair, Ezio from AC2, Brotherhood and Revelation, and Soulcalibur 5 again, and the kickass Venice Rooftops music.

I would advise caution over this whole "Second Chance Theory" thing. I think it would be rather difficult to make all the FP2 characters fit under a singular "theme". I don't understand how Steve fits into this theory for example, as there isn't any evidence that I'm aware of that he was planned for anything other than Ultimate DLC.

It's funny how many characters are "literal who's" when they request characters like Ridley, K Rool and Banjo who haven't been relevant in a long time.
I agree with the sentiment but just a pet peeve, it always bugs me when Ridley is lumped in here.

Other M released in 2011, Samus Returns released in 2017. Metroid releases aren't as frequent as some other series represented in Smash but Ridley has nearly perfect attendance across the series as Samus' most notorious rival, and the series received new games during the periods between Brawl - Smash 4 and Smash 4 - Ultimate respectively. Definitely not the same situation as K. Rool being abandoned by DKC altogether or Banjo-Kazooie being dead in the water.

Hell, Ridley was outright the final boss in Samus Returns, which again released merely a year before Smash Ultimate.

The Sim's Final Smash should just be them having a pool party with their opponents. They get out of the pool, and then the ladder dematerializes, causing them to stand there and panic as all of their new friends drown instead of doing something to help them.

...That was a lot darker than it sounded in my head.

I managed to convince four people to read Umineko (with two more depending on if I win a bet), do not underestimate my inability to touch grass.

You kids have it easy. Back in my day, we had to wait until the fan-translations were finished, then teach ourselves how to mount an .ISO file and change our's system's locale.

To be fair, Metroid games tend to sell far less than the "literal who" third party games people complain about unless they are Prime.

Idk man I saw someone call all the FGC characters beatemup characters. At least it's not as awful as this take
Arlo explained he was talking about in Smash specifically, since the reaction to Banjo seemed bigger. He knows Tekken is bigger than Banjo-Kazooie as a series.

However, I don’t really know if that’s fully accurate either tbh; while Banjo & Kazooie’s reaction was certainly big, I guess the Smash hype cycle is getting tiring and due to COVID we’re missing NYC store reactions and stuff…idk…

Jokes on you I have my system's locale changed all the time to play obscure ass RPG maker games.
In all seriousness though times have changed, nowadays Ryukishi releases his work with a worldwide release date thanks to his collaboration with Witch Hunt. With that said I've been waiting two years for Ciconia Phase 2 and there still isn't a new release date in sight. PAIN.

Aw **** I'm one of those 4 aren't I. Hecc.

That's fair as Banjo Bros have always been super vocal, the handpuppet's life shallbe spared for now, better not be any dumbasses trying to claim Banjo's a bigger deal though

I'm not really trying to compare sales figures, I'm just saying Ridley doesn't apply to the same sort of argument about "relevance" that K. Rool or Banjo & Kazooie did because Ridley is a character who has remained consistently relevant both within his own series and through Metroid releases leading up to each Smash game, compared to K. Rool and Banjo who had not been in a game for over a decade.

Although on that note I'd argue Metroid's sales figures are not directly proportional to its notoriety, but that's another conversation.

Sales don't always translate to how iconic a character is. I'm pretty sure Samus is one of the most iconic female video game characters in existence despite her franchise's mediocre sales record.

For a villain, I think Ridley is fairly iconic. Obviously not comparable to Bowser, but well-known among the gaming community.

If we end with an assortment of unique Sims or an Animal Crossing Islander, that would be so funny. Would also count as an Open World rep.

We need a name for Open World reps too tbh.
Hmmm, how about "Move wherever you want" guy?

Actually, now that you say it, what RTS characters would you suggest?
Are there any noteworthy characters from RTS series that aren't Warcraft or Starcraft? Like besides those and Age of Empires, I don't really know any other notable RTS series.

Edit: Wait, Command & Conquer too. And I think that had a couple notable characters. Kain from the main series and Yuri something from Red Alert 2.

Well, Steve was negotiated on for 5 years, starting in Smash 4; those negotiations never went anywhere until FP2. Thus I think Steve still counts.
