I just think he would fit in Smash so well, and could bring really interesting mechanics to the mix...

I'd be pretty interested. Sylux seems pretty cool, despite the fact that we don't really know what's up with them. Granted, that might be a bit of me spinning my own ideas out of them, so who knows if they'd line up with what I have planned.

Oh yeah, also the fact that they would 80% come with some new Metroid news, and that's always appreciated.

I wouldn't be mad, just a bit disappointed. Metroid already has two villains in the roster. I'd prefer another series from the first smash to get their villain first

I'd be pretty interested. Sylux seems pretty cool, despite the fact that we don't really know what's up with them. Granted, that might be a bit of me spinning my own ideas out of them, so who knows if they'd line up with what I have planned.

Yeah, that's really the only worry. Sylux has potential to be a good rival/enemy to Samus, but so far, we only have ideas and expectations rather than actual game stuff. And those expectations can really throw people off if they aren't careful because Sylux can be either a well-done character or a poorly handed character when they finally come with their game, like what happened with Adam and Other M.

I do hope that whatever they have planned with Sylux pays off and we get another potential Metroid character that people want, like with Dark Samus.

Putting in a character before they've really done anything would annoy me regardless of who they are. Sylux so far has had one playable appearance and lots of -hints-. But -hints- do not make a character interesting.

Sylux just kind of "exists" to me as far as Smash candidates go. I wouldn't be upset, especially if he's fun, but I wouldn't exactly be jumping out of my seat for him either.

Pretty sure Prime 4 is supposed to be the thing Sylux would shill as Tanabe said they were supposed to be a big part of it.

Which is funny, since you'd imagine that Samus would have the same opinion of them by this point but she still keeps taking jobs for them.

I'd probably hate Sylux's inclusion if it happened for this game. He's got a cool design but he's done nothing to deserve a spot. Even if he has a fun moveset that does nothing to vindicate a fighter in my eyes because I can count the number of unfun movesets in Smash with one hand.

However me hating him at his inclusion doesn't mean I can't warm up to him down the line. If he has a major role in Prime 4 or other Metroid games and becomes a cool character then I'll be fine with having him in Ultimate. I hated Bayonetta in 4 because at the time she was a shameless shill and falsely paraded as the winner of the ballot. However after Bayo 2 was a big hit, cemented the franchise as one of the premier character actioners and Nintendo exclusives, and turned Bayo 3 one of the most hyped games, I think it's safe to say the choice aged well. I probably would've been against Roy back in Melee too if I had been more than a wee baby at the time, and now I love the guy. So I can be won over.

Bayonetta 2 came out before she was revealed for Smash 4 (by over a year). though to be fair, I'm sure the discussion of Bayo probably started before Bayonetta 2 released, but still

I mean it could be, I'm not gonna throw out the possibility. I will say he probably shouldn't have mentioned Waluigi specifically, but perhaps that's his way of throwing off the trail

But honestly it might be a case that he's open to any character. perhaps the reason he restarted the sentence after saying "he can't say because", is because he probably doesn't have a particular character he wants. He probably thinks Sakurai can make anything work and that's why he mentions how Sakurai takes his time to make things perfect

Waluigi might have been mentioned since not only is that a character Charles is very familiar with, but it also one prominent in terms of requests and stuff, but this doesn't mean he would have slipped up on Waluigi though. I'll keep it in mind though
