Weird, I was just doing that too.J being weird:
I am reading through old games/games I was never in but people have told me are good reads/catching up to things I've missed so if I like your post or something, my apologies. I have been good but sometimes I just hit the like button without thinking so I am sorry if you get random notifications from like threads from a long time ago.
What are you talking about? FE10 is easy as ****.this isn't to say i disliked the entire game, i enjoyed the waifus and hasubandos for what they were (anna & henry are the best ones for you're information), i thought the pair up system was interesting, but overall the game was just not fun for me. i guess my opinion does not matter because i didnt bother pouring day after day into beating a series about royals who want to screw their siblings on the difficulty setting with the most inflated enemy stats and artificial difficulty (LOL fe10) though.
The game industry is frankly dismal in the efforts they've put into improving AI in comparison to the money thrown to improving graphics with Triple A developers being concerned that their games might be TOO hard. MUST BUILD MORE ELABORATE SKY BOXES.im talking about the cool feature where if u play on the hardest difficulty level you suddenly have to count the enemy's range yourself just because
hence "artificial difficulty"
might not apply to a tactical rpg but i remember reading a post on tumblr where a developer who actually worked in the industry discussed a game where the programmers made very competent and intelligent ai in a fps, but it made the game unfun because the enemies were so effective and difficult to see coming that the most efficient strategy was for the player to turtle, which was also very arduousThe game industry is frankly dismal in the efforts they've put into improving AI in comparison to the money thrown to improving graphics with Triple A developers being concerned that their games might be TOO hard. Will read later. Thank you.ive yet to play that, i appreciate what ive heard about it but probably wont buy it any time soon cuz right now i buy games rarely and generally gameplay-based games are higher priority also i found the blog post from like 5 seconds on google
What I find cool about this article is that it highlights how you can't make an AI "smarter" not only for fun factor, but physical limitations. Sure, the flanking tactic is more advanced, but in the same vein, once a player gets used to it, the AI doesn't adapt because there's no adaptation to be made unless the devs designed a way for AI to react if they are adapted to. Hence why the turtling in one corridor strategy is so effective, and the devs could for example force AI to react by using grenades in that situation, but once again, a player could just figure out a counter to those nades and then the AI may or may not be programmed to react in that situation. And this applies to every genre, in fighting games it's pretty much impossible to enhance an AI outside of adding artificial tech skill, pure randomness for any situation with multiple options, or just reading the player's inputs every single frame. Sure, maybe the AI could be set to use setups like fireball -> jump in -> mix up, but the way it decides when to use that would still be an algorithm that's easy to adapt to, or "read".ive yet to play that, i appreciate what ive heard about it but probably wont buy it any time soon cuz right now i buy games rarely and generally gameplay-based games are higher priority

seems like people are doing that a lot latelyoh look acro's talking to himself
That's because I've dedicated a unique IP proxy address to only ashemu. If he is, he's doing a rather convincing job of working around the IP tracker.
...i do.I talk to myself a lot by thinking out loud. I don't have actual conversations with myself.

Yeah, man. I'm totally hyped.Anywho, is anyone about to go on a nintendo shopping spree this may? I think I am.
