currently hooked up: PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U. Also have a PS2, Wii, Gamecube, and N64 but they're all disconnected and stored somewhere so I'd prefer not to deal with them unless it's for something fantastic. And I have every nintendo handheld since the Gameboy color.
you're a peach.
Note: This is going to double as a general purpose recommendations list from my collection, so I'm probably gonna recommend or explain a few things that I know you've played. Feel free to ask questions or for further description.

3DS
Fire Emblem Awakening - Must play. Have spoken on the subject many times, but it's the culmination of years of Fire Emblem, and is the best SRPG on the 3DS currently.
LoZ: A Link Between Worlds - Not really an RPG, but just do it. It's Zelda, and it's good.
Pokemon X/Y - It's Pokemon.
Project X Zone - SRPG with a fairly interesting battle system. Primarily enjoyable as a cross-over game, bringing characters from Namco-Bandai, Capcom, Sega, and a handful of others IIRC. Game lacks depth and goes on for way too long, but if you're looking for an RPG with these characters, it's not bad. Took 76 hours to complete, though it started to drag on around 40. Can easily pass on this one if the characters don't appeal to you at all. It's the sole reason I played it.
SMT4 - If you're a fan of the main series SMT games, definitely give this a go. Battle system, Demons, etc are all pretty much what you'd expect. Not super heavy on character development, but story is interesting enough. Only problem with it is that the characters are somewhat contrived towards their alignment paths, but this is kind of standard fare for main series SMT. Doesn't take too long to beat. 56 hours for me.
SMT: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers – I can only talk about this slightly, as I started it and put about 4 hours in, but it didn't hook me. The gameplay is pretty similar to Strange Journey, and is heavy on the dungeon crawling, but you can tell the battle system is pretty dated. Pass on this one IMO.
SMT: Devil Survivor Overclocked – Given how your tastes overlap with mine, Circus, I highly recommend this one. Gameplay is composed of two big 'chunks'. The out-of-battle stuff is comprised of an overworld view of Tokyo, where you move from area to area to trigger events. These events typically take up a chunk of 30 minutes, and the day has key events that occur at certain times to progress major plot events. The sub-events can (and usually do) affect the main plot, and usually involve building affinity with a specific character, which affects the endings you can access. (There's like 7 or something) The plot is essentially a demon apocalypse, coupled with the fact that the characters gain the ability to see a 'Death Clock' above the heads of people, with the numbers of days they have to live. If greater than 7, there's no number. The actual BATTLES are a hybrid SRPG with SMT battle system. You get dropped onto a large grid and move around FFTA/grid-game style, engaging in fights with the opponents on the map. When you actually get in a fight, it's the SMT battle system, extra turns, etc. Rinse and repeat. The battles are fairly straightforward, as the game is mostly driven by its characters and plot. One of my personal favorites.
Tales of the Abyss – I have heard great things, but haven't yet played it.
Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward – I THINK you've played this, but if you haven't, and you like suspenseful visual novels, play 999 first, then this. 999 is on DS, or IOS if you just want the story part. The gameplay is 'Escape the Room' style puzzles, with story breaking those up.
DS
Bleach: The Third Phantom – This is a hidden gem of an SRPG. To quote a random Youtube user -
Flaoither3
cool its like if Fire emblem had sex with bleach this would be thier baby
And he's right. Battle system is practically identical, weapon triangle and all. It's not terribly difficult, but I had a damn good time playing it, even as someone who is not intimately familiar with the Bleach canon. Definitely worth a look.
Chrono Trigger – Nuff said.
Final Fantastic Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift – If you enjoyed the original, you will enjoy A2. It doesn't feel quite the same, though. The story is worse (amazingly, since FFTA's was nothing special), but the gameplay is more polished and they add a bunch of new stuff. Worth a play if you liked FFTA.
Pokemon Conquest – There's no challenge to it because it's a Pokemon game, but this is an enjoyable lovable SRPG that a LOT of people here played when it came out. Very cute and adorable and fun.
Radiant Historia – Traditional RPG, but with a very unique and interesting grid-based battle system. Based primarily on moving your opponent around to combo them. Story revolves around time travel and alternate futures. It's a nice throwback to Chrono Trigger. I highly recommend it, as would @

has played it as well.
SMT: Devil Survivor 2 – Better than Devil Survivor 1 IMO, but it's pending for a 3DS remake/port. Hasn't been news on it for a while, though. Play overclocked first, then play this. The characters are better. Death clocks were done away with in favor of 'Death videos', where you can see your friends dying before it happens. Obviously, the plot revolves around trying to prevent it, and get rid of all the demons and ****. Super awesome game. Battle system is identical.
Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier – JRPG. Play this only if you play SRT first. More on that later in the GBA section.
Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume – SRPG. Very enjoyable. Grid based, with a timing-based battle system based around juggles, combos, and team combos. Great story. @
#HBC | ZoZo
can vouch for this one as well. Done by Tri-Ace, as you would expect..
The World Ends With You – If you somehow haven't played this, you've made a grave error and there are at least 6 people here who will disown you.
999 – See Virtue's Last Reward in the 3DS section.
GBA
Advance Wars -
http://cdn.brawlinthefamily.keenspot.com/comics/2014-04-15-559.png It's fun, but this is why I like it less than Fire Emblem. Worth playing, though. The attachment in the game is only to the Commanding Officers, not to any of the units, which creates a feeling of detachment.
Golden Sun & Golden Sun: The Lost Age – If you haven't played these, fix that. I also made a mafia set-up on these. They're the best JRPGs on the GBA IMHO. Excellent, traditional battle system with an awesome twist through the Djinn and how they affect the class system & summons. I consider these a must-play. Not Dark Dawn on the 3DS though. Dear god, it's like Duke Nukem Forever except not quite as awful, just thoroughly mediocre and not living up to the originals.
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga – Similar to Paper Mario. Hella awesome. The humor is quirky and enjoyable, and the game is just an all-around feel good time.
Now for something you've probably never heard of.
Super Robot Taisen: Original Generations (1 & 2)
These two games are SRPGs. They're like Fire Emblem with kick-ass mechs. Not as difficult, though. If that wasn't enough to sell you, there's more! They have a fantastic ****ing soundtrack & characters. Most characters have their own theme song. Just listen to this ****.

PS3
Looking at my collection, I'm actually kind of mad at myself, because I haven't completed any of the PS3 RPGs I own. Tales of Graces F, Tales of Xillia, and the Tales of Symphonia Chronicles re-release all reside here, and are all great. Have heard good things about Valkyria Chronicles & Ni No Kuni, but I don't like the art style of NNK. Play Tales games though, can't go wrong.
Xbox 360
Bioshock & Bioshock Infinite – These are shooters at heart, but they have RPG elements in terms of the powers/abilities and junk. Definitely worth playing, not huge time-sinks either. Play em for the story.
Catherine – Co-signing Nabe on this recommendation. Gameplay is broken up between Day Phase, which is essentially a dating sim, and night phase, which is a puzzle platformer. Has a super interesting and twisted story, multiple endings (though they're pretty similar). Definitely worth a play. By ATLUS, IIRC.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Action RPG. I haven't played ALL of it, but this is a great game. Gives you complete freedom (even boss fights) to choose between stealth or a more active play-style. RPG elements are well-integrated through Jensen's augmentations and the story elements of the game.
Dishonored – This is what you get if you take playing a stealth character in Elder Scrolls and slap a steampunk spin on it, with like, first-person Hitman gameplay. They give you great freedom in how to approach and deal with your targets. The story is great, but I wouldn't really qualify it as an RPG, though your gameplay style does alter the ending based on how much of a killing machine you are. @

can provide input here as well.
Dragon Age: Origins – Here's a more true RPG. This game is basically like playing World of Warcraft with story centered around you. Excellent characters and story. One of the best RPGs on the 360. It is getting a little old, though.
Dragon Age II – Unfortunately, this is not “More of the same” from the first Dragon Age. This is Mass Effect 2: Dragon Age edition. It's not awful, but the main character is no longer your own creation, and is much more like Commander Shepard. The game takes far too long to ramp up and get going (like 20 hours before you actually advance the main plot), but the characters are all interesting and enjoyable. If you liked both Mass Effect and Dragon Age Origins, you will probably like DA2, but it doesn't really encompass the spirit of the original.
Dragon's Dogma – Action RPG by Capcom. Didn't hold my interest long enough to say a LOT about it, but it is a very older style RPG. Capes, Wizards and ****. Had a re-release or sequel? Not really sure. Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. Ah. I see. It's an updated re-release that polished the original game, added extra content, and shaved off the sharp edges that the original had.
Oblivion & Skyrim – I don't think I have to say anything here. If you somehow haven't come across an Elder Scrolls game, you need to fix that.
Enchanted Arms – This one flew under a lot of people's radars, coming out quite early. It's an enjoyable RPG with a pretty solid story. Battle system is grid-based, revolving around positioning in your half of a 8x4 grid. Or 8x5, can't remember. You queue up actions for a turn, then they resolve, etc. It's nothing super special, but it's decent.

has been trying to get me to play it for ages. He can tell you more than I can, I haven't gotten around to it yet.
Fable 2 / 3 – I..... honestly can't super-recommend the Fable series. If you played the original, then play 2, but skip 3. They're nothing special.
Fallout 3 – Play this. It's Elder Scrolls with a different skin. (Post-apocalyptic) Haven't played New Vegas to comment on it.
Final Fantasy XIII, XIII-2 – They're long, and they're linear. If you don't like the characters or the battle system, don't bother. I suggest looking up an explanation of the battle system, if you know nothing about the game.
Kingdoms of Amalur – This is offline World of Warcraft. I didn't finish it, because the main story is poorly paced and I lost interest due to feeling like I needed to complete every quest, when the game is not paced for that style of play.
Mass Effect 1, 2, 3 – Action RPG. I assume you've played. If you haven't, you should. First one is the most like an RPG and will probably feel a bit dated by now. Second one is godlike. Third is a bit of a letdown. It's basically a sanitized AAA version of Mass Effect 2, but doesn't tie things together in the magical way the second one did.
Resonance of Fate – Play this for one reason only. The battle system. I've never played anything like it, and it's pretty awesome. Story & characters suck though. Plot is basically non-existant. I wasn't able to finish it as a result of lack of interest and a bull-**** gauntlet-style fight series.
Tales of Vesperia – I didn't like it QUITE as much as I did Symphonia, but it's still an amazing game, with fantastic characters. Absolutely worth playing.
Wii U
There's little to play on this right now. I haven't touched any of the first party stuff really. I have been told great things about Wonderful 101 over and over, but when I tried the game it left a bad taste in my mouth. The controls are super finicky and that leads to things being really frustrating on a regular basis. Maybe it just wasn't for me, I don't know. Play Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate if you want, or just wait for MH4 and play it with all of us when it comes out.
PS2
I'd like to offer comments here, but I got a PS2 very late in the game and have not had the time to complete much on it.
Wii
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn – Since you're a fan, I assume you have played it. If you haven't, fix that. It has probably the best gameplay in the entire series, but the character development is lacking due to the 4-part structure, sheer number of characters, and stripped-down support system.
Pandora's Tower – Action JRPG. Played about half of it. It's a love story, while the gameplay is platforming/real-time battle. The game's gimmick is this magical chain that you use for both, which was honestly pretty cool. I don't know why I didn't finish it, I should go back and do that.
Xenoblade Chronicles – If there is one RPG on this list that you decide to play, make it this one. It's my favorite RPG of the last several years. Characters & Story are godlike. If you want a more detailed rant on how awesome this game is, I will provide it. But this is the MUST PLAY title on the Wii.

, this is your territory. I still haven't played them yet. T-T
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance – Play this before Radiant Dawn, if you haven't played them. Radiant Dawn is a direct sequel, including direct benefits for transferring your data. They're Ike's games!
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door – Paper Mario is somewhat difficult to describe. If you haven't played it, you should. More info on request.
Phantasy Star Online Ep. 1 & 2 – This is one of my favorite action JRPGs, but I openly admit it is entirely nostalgia. It's very dated at this point, both graphically and gameplay wise. I still love it though. This was the first real console MMO that I can think of.
Skies of Arcadia: Legends – There's a reason I made a mafia game based on this. One of my all-time favorites, I currently loaned out my copy to @
#HBC | Ryker
. JRPG with an excellent story. You're Air Pirates, with flying ships, set in a world entirely on floating islands in the clouds. It's awesome. The battle system is old-school turn-based, with specials/magic, etc. Super great game.
Tales of Symphonia – Play this. Play this. Play this. It's amazing. You might as well play the PS3 re-release, though.
