fun fact: i tried to properly organize all fan-art and etc. along with my avatars in orderly fashion and i ended up just having a giant mess of cropped pictures of avatars in 'my downloads' and those folders have been unused to this day

im just not a organized person :(

what else would it be

me and my girlfriend were having this topic last night, we both agree the word 'waifu' should only be used as a means of irony and people who genuinely expect an intimate relationship with a 2d drawing are weird

I need 2 replacements for Flavorless Mafia. 10+ pages. Day 1.

Fandango might possibly replace in but since [TIME], first come first served.

Then let me inform you that the back half of the game is painfully long and drawn out.

The first 50 hours are top-****ing-notch, though.

This tends to be a thing that happens way too often in RPG games.

Which is all the more insane when you recognize that 50 hours would have been a great length for an RPG all on its own.

Bravely Default Spoiler.
Square has a religious commitment to killing a god or godly entity as the ending action to the final act in every game.

Very true.

Bravely Default might actually be the least subtle about it too. And that's saying something.

so I'm playing Bravely Default

no one told me the job system was actually a collect-em-all akin to Milky Way Wishes
no one said the quests were excellent and numerous
no one mentioned the Party Chat segments torn from Tales of
well i mean i would have said something but it would have been spoiler-ish? kinda like "oh hey here's how the whole game works. no surprises or real discovery for you. NOW ENJOY YOURSELF :D."

i lol'd at the last comment though, it's true.

More Bravely Default spoilers.
I'm amused by the ending. I think conceptually it's a cute idea to throw in Ouroboros as the final boss when the last hurdle of the game relies on what appears to be you returning to the beginning of the game repeatedly. There are certain concepts that can be considered though in the execution of this process. For example, did the game developers have to use the same maps for certain stages. Was there a way they could put a fresh spin on each play through without detracting from the core point of the game trying to flesh out the backstory of other characters and of the game itself.

What If I'm a masochist and numbers crunching/power-leveling appeals to me?

I'm of the opposite opinion. SMT games will make you grind, but won't tell you specifically when. They'll throw harder enemies and bosses at you left and right, but there's never really a point where you can't advance if you don't grind a reasonable amount, and it never completely stops you from progression.

P3/P4's EXP system is one the best in this regard, rewarding higher EXP for going solo and individually splitting the EXP with the amount of party members you have, which makes it so dedicated power-levelers can't just grind off the first floor of a dungeon and the variable of EXP will never change, because it also makes it so the stronger you get or the amount of levels you are above an enemy, the less EXP you will get. It forces players to move on while not shoving them in a direction telling them 'you need to grind', instead, the first floor of a dungeon will be like a kiddy pool and then the game will put you into a false sense of security and throw a random boss in there, maybe enemies 10+ your level once you get higher up. It's brilliant.

Besides the fact if you go level grinding because you have time to kill, and you happen to die, all of that EXP is gone and you have to restart from the last floor you saved on.

Hmm. That may be why I am having problems in Devil Survivor OverClocked.

  • Make MC a magic-based user and transfer the strong -dyne attacks to him. Focus most of your points in the beginning solely on Magic, with a dash of agility so the MC always attacks first. This will make sweeping much each easier and allow you to abuse the 'one more' system if you exploit weaknesses. You can do a physical build also but it's more suited to Atsuro.
  • Have Yuzu be your main healer, also increase her magic but give her enough HP so he just doesn't die out. I'd suggest also give her some other skill cracks such as improved mobility so she doesn't get blindsided (I can't remember the specific name right now).
  • Fuse demons more often, don't stick with the ones you have because it's likely with the right fusion you'll get a stronger demon and more attacks in the process.
  • Go for skill cracks on certain demons that you want your MC and Party to have. You can also use these Skill Cracks on your demons, but it's your discretion.
  • Do the extra battles during the day, they might waste time but if you're going towards a certain ending, they should play into it regardless (most story related sequences have a battle anyways).
  • If you choose law I'm disowning you.

Law wasn't THAT bad in DeSu. IDK about Day 8 though , I haven't played it all again to see it, since I did everything in the DS version.

Unfortunately it is... you? That I was sure of. I'm only making commentary on drawn-out endings.

Mainly I was amused because someone posted that on another forum without knowing I knew you.
