"counting them"

I don't think Xonar's question is offensive in the slightest. I have no reason to kill myself, and yet I've decided on my method if it ever comes to it.

Although... the reason I thought of it was because I am convinced I am immortal, and so eventually I will be bored with life. When I am, I'll end it with the only way possible, which is suicide.

I actually was in the process of posting it but I had to run out the door for work before I could finish fixing all the spacing errors. It'll be posted when I get home from work.

Why do you always say "Gog"?
I feel like this is a rather revealing thing about me and I keep it close to the vest because it always got blown out of proportion in GS but I'm actually Catholic and I don't like saying "God" for that reason. Homestuck provided me with a humorous alternative.

BTW Gigabots was fun, we should co-mod a game again.
Oh definitely. I've get plenty of cool ideas in my spare time, I'm down to mod with anyone should they let me.

Who's your top 10 favorite fictional characters.
I ****ing knew someone would get me with this after making Drew do it. Gogdammit. In no particular order:

Sho Minamimoto, Neku Sakuraba, the Joker, Ol' Raven (ToV), Gabriel Syme, Vriska Serket, Hans Landa, Simon (TTGL), Atticus Finch, aaaaaaaaaaand John Egbert.

Honorable mention goes to Kamina, but I opted for Simon because Kamina starts out with that indominatable spirit of a man while we watch Simon get that and there's a sensible progression to him getting there. It's actually one of the better portions of writing about TTGL and it's fun to watch him become that. Kamina is still ****ing rad though and is probably the manliest of manly men ever to exist.

5 people you'd like to meet from Dgames who you haven't already met irl.
I've already met Drew, Stew, Joey, OS, Juu, and Ruy. And Hilt. And pretty much every dgamer to show up to Vengeance that I somehow forgot to include on this list like an idiot. So, not counting them:

Xonar
Raz
Asidoh (COME BACK)
Vult Redux
Nabe

Top 5 shows, anime or live action I don't care.
I've actually been sheltered from what normal Americans would call "regular television." I'm a bit jaded in that a lot of the **** I watched when I was in my early teenage years really was utter ****. As a result, this list is entirely anime because I haven't seen an American cartoon show that surpasses it in quality:

Baccano!
Durarara!!
Nichijou
Tengen Toppa Gurrenn Lagann (Xonar can hate me for it, but name a show that can get by on pure spectacle without getting stupid, redundant, or obnoxious while still having a little character depth beyond that)
I guess I'll round it off with Bakemonogatari/Nisemonogatari for its art alone. It's ****ing beautiful to look at and the visual puns are very nice.

Some quality American stuff that I actually did watch was Teen Titans and Avatar.

Fun fact: I actually wasn't allowed to watch stuff like Nickelodean until I was about 11-12 and couldn't watch Cartoon Network until I was even older. My mom was very discriminatory about what I watched when I was a kid and it frustrated the hell out of me. I missed out on a lot of toonami, older cartoon network, older nickelodean, and other really good **** as a result of it. I know a lot of older Hanna Barbera though, but I barely remember enough of it. I also was skewed towards a lot of anime early (Pokemon and Digimon in particular) and those kinda impacted my taste from that point on. I never really had much else.

Fun Fact 2: I like cartoons a lot. While anime was always there for me, I also watched some of the regulars on Nickelodeon once my mom stopped being so uptight about it. I've never really sat down to watch dramas or stuff, never really could get into them. Lost seems like something worth watching but I've never gotten around to putting the time in.

Top 5 Movies.
This is a lot easier than the above questions!
The Dark Knight, Pulp Fiction, The Princess Bride, Les Triplettes Des Belleville, Spirited Away/Princess Mononoke, they're about equal in my book

Favorite RPG.
Luminous Arc is the best gogdamn DS game of all time and every one of you should buy it.

No, but really, The World Ends With You is my favorite game ever. But you guys should also buy Luminous Arc because it's hilarious if you don't take it seriously at all.

Make a better Rockin Joke then the one Xonar asks you to make.
The only reason marshy and Nabe took the hydra name "No Hetero" was because the name "Rockin" was already taken.

What's your type?
I am a sucker for a very pretty dark-haired lady.

What's your Pokemon type?
Water/Electric (:obv: )

What's your woman's Pokemon type?
Grass, Dragon, or both.

What are your dreams for the future? One realistic one and one overly ambitious one, please.
One overly ambitious one would be to take my talents as a visual and musical artist and get somewhere with them. Most people don't get that far and while I remain hopeful, I don't expect to get that far with them. A more realistic goal would be to learn as much as I can and then pass it along as a teacher. I'd also like to at least find someone with whom to settle down, if not start a family.

Most embarassing thing about you that your parents know?
Ughhhh can I say my ex? My dating history? Yeh, actually:

My parents tend to find out about the more embarrassing things about my life so it's pretty easy. I think the one thing I tried to keep secret was the fact that I went bicurious for two weeks in a really low point of my life, though they found it out by somehow stumbling upon my Gaia Online profile.

Before the gay Laundry jokes start, I think that was one of the biggest mistakes of my life and I've never considered it since.

Ever seen something you knew you shouldn't have seen? What was it and what did you do?
People trying to slip **** under my nose.

I have a tendency to observe a lot of things and take it all in. I tend to see **** I'm not supposed to see as a result, but that's not the problem for me. It's usually small things (recently, one of my friends got a tattoo and she wanted to keep it a secret but I saw her ask someone about it on Facedumb so I kinda got a sneak peak at that). I don't think I've really witnessed anything drastic that altered my view on someone. I tend to hear about those types of things than see them.

Would you consider ever name-changing? If so, what to?
I find my name pretty standard and I don't like it for that reason. So many people have my first name that people just refer to me by my last name and I don't particularly care for people I care about to refer to me that way. I already have picked out the pseudonym "Aiden Tinturn" to use as an artist but I don't know if I'd flat-out change it. My family hasn't pissed me off that much.

What's your guilty pleasure?
****ty parody songs. GameBro from Homestuck comes to mind immediately because of how intentionally bad it is but it amuses me every gogdamn time.

ALRIGHT BROS, ARE YOU READY FOR THIS?

Also Luminous Arc. It's an SRPG built entirely from cliches and fan service but it's so over the top that I can't help but love it. It's got a special niche in my heart.

Name 5 things I don't know about you.
I own a few ocarinas that I like to play
One of my friends taught me how to knit at a basic level.
I drink Arizona Green Tea by the gallon out of small wine glasses whenever I'm back in Lansing.
I'd love to own either a Parrotlet or a Pineapple Conure when I have my own house.
I didn't learn how to snap until just this past year. I have a tendency to use both my ring and my middle finger whenever I snap, so it sounds like I'm making a flam if I do it just right.

If you were a girl, what would you like to be named? Would you name your daughter like that?
I think I'd like the name Melody. I feel like that'd be really fitting for my personality, tastes, and worldview. I've considered naming my daughter this but that seems like tempting fate.

Granted, Alexander fits me somewhat well, so Alexandria or Alexandra wouldn't be bad either.

What's your "life philosophy"/slogan?
I think I have three I try to uphold:

1) Be accountable. I take this to somewhat of an extreme, but I'm well aware of whenever I'm at fault and try to apologize later. It bothers the hell out of me whenever I don't. I hate it when others refuse to take accountability for their own mistakes.

2) It gets better. I've been through a lot of **** in my life. I've met people who have hurt me greatly and I've struggled with depression before without dealing with medication. It took forever to get over it but I did. No matter how bad things are at that point, you may as well drag your damaged *** out of the dirt and get moving again. You're never going to get out of the deep **** until you try. I have no idea how I can remain so bloody optimistic despite all of this. I have a surprisingly sunny disposition that most never really get to see.

3) Be honest. I hate liars. I hate getting lied to. I hate lying to others, even when I feel I have to. You and I both deserve to know the truth.
I think these are it. There's definitely a lot more little things floating around but those ideals are huge to me.

Make a Rockin gay joke that's better than the one Seph asked you to make in anticipation of me asking you to make a Rockin gay joke.
Recently, a new brand of fan has been invented that has five modes instead of four. The modes are: off, low, medium, high, and Rockin.

Choose a picture to describe yourself.

Choose a song to describe yourself.
Modest Mouse-World at Large.

What is your greatest accomplishment in life?
Getting to college and finding out who I really was. For the longest of time, I just had this habit of doing whatever anyone told me. I used to be the biggest of sheep, at least IRL, because I was so disconnected from everything going on that I had no idea of what was right and what wasn't. I often changed my personality as a result of finding new people and never really knew who I was (you could probably say that I'm a bit mercurial in personality as it is). I got to college and was thrown on my own amongst a group of people I had never met before and struggled to connect with because of how radically different they were from the groups of people I had known before (either good Catholics or the gaming nerds littered throughout the interet). Eventually I found a few people who I felt I could connect with and they helped me realize who I was, what I loved, what I wanted to be, how I wanted to act, and rather than try to change me, they encouraged me to be who I want. I can't say I've ever felt more alive since then and coming home just kinda kills that feeling because I'm right back into an environment where everyone else expects me to be somebody they want me to be.

You are infected by a parasite. This parasite makes it so that you get a new biological rhythm.

You wake up at 9:30am, you live until 11pm and then you die. You wake up again the next morning.

From the moment you wake up, you know you'll die the same evening. You don't know that you'll wake up again.

Imagine that it's possible in this society.

Now, after a year of this, you get offered the opportunity to have the parasite removed. Do you do it?
I feel like that'd be a ****ing terrible way to live, so yes.

What is the most comfortable feeling in the world?
Relaxing with the people you care about at a serene time.

What are the things you enjoy most? (i.e. drawing, taking a walk, playing games)
Drawing's a ***** nowadays because my eyes are ****ed over every time I try to focus on that ****. I love it but I hate doing it too. I like carving stones, sculpting mud, taking walks, exploring nature, playing games, chilling with close friends, listening to music, playing music, and solving problems.

What do you pride yourself in most?
I have things I constantly pride myself on but there are some ways it changes, and I lose interest things quickly. I have to say the constant has always been my intelligence. It's always been there for me--smarts, quick learning, creativity--when I've been abandoned by everything else. Call me gay, *******, douchebag, prick, whatever, I'll get over it. Call me dumb or treat me like an idiot and I'll **** miles of rage snake.

Is there a future for people like you and me in todays society?
I strongly believe that if there isn't one right now, we'll make it.

Why believe in a future when it's so uncertain? Why believe in the present when it's constantly changing? Why believe in the past when you have no proof of it happening but your memories?
I believe in the future because I know if I don't, I'll be left behind. I believe in the present because I am currently here right now and will continue to live in the present as long as I live. I believe in the past because I couldn't have gotten these scars from anywhere else.

If you wouldn't have done art, what would you have done?
Music's been the 1b to Art's 1a all my life. They've been my two best ways to really kind of create and I'm a damn talented musician. If I couldn't latch on as a bassist (and I mean, considering the basic **** of some bands, I could), one of the profs at Adrian has said I have the talent to go far with piano.

What colors are your glasses? Why?
They'd be some kickin' rad cool shades, probably blue since it's one of my favorite colors, or black because are they really shades and really cool if they're not?

You are walking with ___. Suddenly, ____ asks you "Say Alex, ___ do you _________?"
You respond, "Well, ____, I ______ for ________, so __________."

fill in the blanks.
I am walking with a tree. Suddenly, the sun asks me, "Say Alex, how many cubes of sugar do you want in your hair?" I respond, "Well, the fish flys, I am longing for a good vacation, so I'd have to say three."

A bit of surrealist humor for your day.

You can learn one other language. Which one is it?
Easy, French. It's an awkward language but somehow that suits me. Russian's a close second. I'd also like to learn Old English and all its ******* cousins but that's merely for personal enjoyment rather than enjoyment+practicality.

You're born in another country. Which one is it?
Scotland, Canada, or France. That's without researching anything about their current state of affairs though.

You're given the chance to find your true love in trade of everyone you hold dear at that point in time. Do you do it?
Can I find a way to have both? I certainly wouldn't sacrifice the people that I care about that much just to find some person, even if she is my true love. I don't want to be a hypocrite.

Truth is a silly concept. Why do people cling to it?
Because the second you reject any form of truth, you lose all sense of what's real.

Learn to Jugemu with me, please.
That'd be the in-joke of in-jokes though, there'd be little practical use to it.

What's a Dutch stereotype that totally came true when you started getting to know me?
My dutch boy stereotypes were having stupidly ugly haircuts, blonde hair, wooden shoes, an obsession with tulips, and having a ridiculously obnoxious accent. You came close on the tulip one.

Favorite Gigabots characters and why.
ughughugh. All of them are realy likable. Except Nikki, she's pretty shallow simply because she gets no real episode dedicated to herself. I'd have to say it's Commander Stryker, albeit Garth's a close second. Stryker just knew what to do, he made sacrifices like a real man despite knowing the dangers and had some of the most badass moments of the show. I mean, eye lasers. C'mon.

Favorite Gigabots episode and why.
The Dark Star episode saw Garth overcome some past trauma and just beat a guy through the power of his ****ing voice. I mean, he just sang him to death, get voice****ed Dark Star. Also the jokes about Garth singing in the shower from his dad are hilarious.

Make a joke about Rockin.
Rockin had a window installed on his closet door just so others could see he wasn't in there. He then went inside and discovered he liked the view.

Make a JUMBO joke about Rockin.
I'm sure there are some things Rockin would like JUMBO.

Why the obsession with one half of the nations in the four corners of the earth who are rallied by the devil for the final assault on christ?
Heil Arceus?

What's your method on set-up balance?
Ah, finally, a mafia-related question.

A lot of the time, whenever I approach a set-up, I either like to create a few key roles that can pivot the game, a mechanic that's central to the theme of the set-up, or an idea about the set-up in general. With Gigabots, that was misinformation, and I created a lot of roles to that gear. Janitor, traitor, Calvin, the fake roles, tracker in a game with a bunch of actions, things like that put a lot of confusion on town. The reason for this is that a lot of games with a ton of power in them tend to end up with a lot of clears in a massclaim and I wanted to avoid that.

My typical method, in general, is to start with town and mafia, decide what they absolutely need to do in the set-up, give them a methods of achieving that goal, give the opposing alignment a way of counteracting that, and then making sure it's not so strong it outshines average day play. I then throw an indy in to interact with those goals and alter them.

What the **** happened with LASPM? (From a design perspective. Typically your **** has been ultra-quality.)

More to be added as I think of them.
I got away from the above. I had a cool idea with scum, but nothing for town and made them ridiculously strong without thinking of scum's means of counteracting anything they could do. Absol's Torment and Flash weren't nearly enough. TWEWY, my upcoming small, and another set-up I'm discussing with Drew will have some really cool **** going with it though. You'll see a quality Laundry game again in the future.

What's your voicemail message?
Forgot. Someone should call it and tell me.

Tell your side of the story of meeting Ryker as a film noir detective narrator.
Name's Laundry. Washed Laundry. Women do me. So often that I got an interestin' call from a pretty-soundin' dame on the line about an hour ago, askin' me to look into this perp. His name? Ryker. Captain Ryker. A red-blooded American hero like no other around him. A man amongst men. More medals on his chest than Michael Phelps could win in an entire Olympics. Yet, a scumbag. They say every man has a skeleton in his closet. That guy runs a mausoleum out of his dresser.

I knew this was gonna be a tough battle. I need something hard. Like Liquor. Or a crossword in the Sunday morning paper. I needed to keep my wits close and my bullets closer. I slipped a sip from the silver flask in my trenchcoat. Sometimes all you need's a little liquid courage. I grabbed my trenchcoat and my hat and slipped out the back. The chief didn't need to know I was leaving. I wouldn't be gone long.

It was pouring out. That kinda rain that drenches you to the bone and makes your clothes stick to you like a second skin. The worst kinda rain. A heavy rain. I needed something to warm my bones. I pulled a cigarette from my pocket and looked at it. It went limper than a straight man at a gay bar in a record time. I stashed the cig and tried to clear my mind. The dame gave me a tip. Said the target'd be by the docks. It smelled a little fishy and not just because of the local fauna, but I took the tip to heart and made my way.
Didn't take long. I caught the scumbag heading into a dingy dive when I rounded onto Seaside Drive. Stuck out like a honest boat amongst a sea of pirate bilge as he ducked inside hurriedly. I followed him in and sat down at the table across from him. He had a somewhat shocked expression so I introduced myself. He returned the honor to me. Told him I had a few questions to ask, if he was willing to oblige. He accepted with a smile that could persuade the Devil. A chill ran up my spine like Death had run its finger up my back. He ain't no amateur.

I asked him the questions. Couldn't do much, he said, but he proposed something to clear him. Told me to stop by his place tomorrow so I could pick it up. I accepted and left. I wasn't getting anything out of that practiced grin. A short sleep should clear my head and take the chill out of my bones, I thought. Went back to the joint, told the chief, then went home. I had a long day ahead of me. Maybe a long battle too.

Went to the captain's place the next day, early in the morning. Said he wasn't expecting me this early. I apologized. He said he didn't mind. Took me through his home and showed me around the place. Pretty little feathered nest he built himself, I thought. It felt just as hollow as him. Showed me into his office and I could feel the tension rise a little. The devil's workshop. He sat down at the desk comfortably. Too comfortably. Dropped a bunch of papers in front of me and said these'd do it.

Then he went a step further.

Said he knew the real men I was after. Gave me their identities and even their addresses. Hell, he tossed in their wives' names and dropped a couple of their usual hang-outs. I took the papers and grunted a thanks. He left me with a smile that I couldn't trust.

Took what he said to heart. Started looking around at the men he suggested. One was a former detective of mine, good friend with a bit of a crooked sense of humor. It matched his nose, so I never made fun of it. Went after a couple of other nobodies for a couple of days, hit him up. He gave me the lowdown and said he was clean. His wife backed up his alibi. All their wives backed up their alibis. I had a bunch of clean crooks and no plans. I was out. Went back to the situation and filled the chief in. He dismissed me for the day. My heart sank into the soles of my shoes.

Started walking home. I lit a cig and shoved it into my mouth. My thoughts started to rise with the smoke into the cloudy sky. Suddenly a gunshot cracked my attention like the skull of its victim. I pulled my trusty gun Ebony from my pocket and ran to the location. I found a dirty liar standing over a body. Said it wasn't what it looked like with the gun in his hand and blood on his suit. I took a step forward. Captain Ryker aimed the gun. Feeling the urge, I shot at his feet. He jumped, threw his aim off and shot into the sky. A quick tackle put the villain on the ground.

The last time I heard out of him was on his execution day. Told me well-played as he walked to the gallows. He hung like a pirate. The executioner declared him mafia scum and the game was over. I had won.

Will you fight with Swiss in The Battle for Ryker's Heart? Will you win?
Swiss knows Ryker the player. I know Ryker the man. I have the advantage and I plan not to relent it.

You've got inputs for one console in your TV, and one only. Which console do you choose? What's the first game you play?
Uuuuuuuuuuuuugggggh console gaming recently. The Wii produces such shovelware but everything else that I intend to enjoy most is on that console ughughughughugh.

But then PS3 has all the Tales games ever because ****ing Bamco's a traitor.

If I had to stick to absolutely one, it'd probably be the Wii, as I could play all of my old favorites from the Gamecube era on it as well. Though I'd miss great games like Borderlands, Bastion, Portal, all **** I could play on a computer if I had a good enough computer.

The first game I'd play is Mario Kart Wii, because I am the biggest Dry Boner:

He is me.

Do you think love can bloom, even on a battlefield?
Even the most scorched of earths can grow sparse vegetation.

You are probably one of my favorite hosts on this site, how do you make your set-ups the way you do and what are some of your favorite roles to have created/seen played?
I've answered the first part with Orbo. My favorite roles that I've put out there are probably the Plant Abductor, the Town Bicycle, the Lovers I ran in LASPM, and making the sucker puncher from Asidoh's game into a mafia role with that mechanic.

From AiB, I really enjoyed how Werewolf V went, at least in terms of having players working in single masonries. It was a completely busted set-up but that idea is nifty and I keep revisiting it to see if I can balance it. The closest I came was making all those individual players into a hydra but that set-up is so ambitious. I need to work on that later when I have time. I have a bunch of really cool ideas in the works but I need to sit down and finish set-ups.

Outside of that, in Werewolf 12 on AiB, I gave someone a role called the "Retardedly Suspicious Vigilante of Justice." It was a standard vig with both a BP and a miller status. He was made to look completely suspicious if he claimed or was investigated. He then turned around and carried the game regardless of it. This is the only time the guy ever played a ****ing game of mafia to the finish. If that's the kind of performance he wants to be known for, I'm thoroughly okay with that.

The entire mafia from Gigabots had a cool concept that I think really worked for it. Had the potential to cripple itself if they shot the terrorist or if the terrorist blew one of them up, but was so strong and gave itself enough to keep it going until endgame. Watching Murderbush just play scummy as **** with the intention to blow someone up the second he came close to getting lynched was hysterical. If only scum didn't shoot him. The only reason Gorf didn't protect him was that he claimed his character.

Do you really get as angry as your posts suggests sometimes when playing or is that just a facade/character type thing in games?
I play angry/serious all the time because it helps me focus. There are times I get angry and there are times that I just drop an f-bomb out of habit. People doing **** I perceive as dumb does rile me though, especially from players that I think are not. If it manages to completely override sensible progression of the game is when I get completely pissed. Such as Ryker/Glyfe shooting EE out of the gate in MP2 or everything Soup was doing in UTrick'd1.

Is this an accurate way to describe you and Ryker in your opinion, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdSUIgcn24s ?
Hah. I'd say about 50% or so, give or take some.

What is your favorite hydra to see play?
Not Legolas because then the forums are stretched out for ****ing weeks at a time.

Probably RadFic, albeit they never seem to finish a game anymore. I wish I saw it in Dissidia while it was happening. I also like watching No Hetero because Nabe+marshy is just amusing together. Hydras with a quirk, especially a self-imposed one, are really fun both to play and to see played because they gain an alternative personality to both the heads. It's rare to see other people pull it off and it's why I think AM is one of the better hydras, at least in terms of enjoyment factor.

What is your favorite game to have ever played on SWF? AiB?
I still remember Ryker Mafia fondly. I also enjoyed Skies. Cracking that set-up, as much of a headache as it was, was enjoyable and provided a lot of intrigue to the game. I think my all-time favorite here is Pulp Fiction though. I had a ton of fun in that game in general, the player list was just right, the balance was great, the flavor worked, everything seemed to go well in that game. If it weren't for the Soup/Ran ****fight D1 and EE/J wall battles D5, I'd probably reread it. Seeing Gheb explode in a shower of salt was ****ing gold.

Back on AiB? Werewolf 10. Despite having all the alignment changes ever, I enjoyed the ever-loving hell out of the madness of that set-up. I ended up getting indy with two fun partners with the original wincon of "create chaos, be funny as hell" and had some of the most fun doing it. I even got Vult Redux lynched off pure bull**** that game.

What is your favorite role to either have or see in games?
I love watching a good vig when it's balanced just right, but that can seriously swing a game. I also love a good indy role. To me, good indies aren't necessarily ones that are just separate from town/scum but are roles that are designed to be able to control the actions of one side completely to the very core and can win purely through complete manipulation of one side or the other. If they find out they can, they can utterly decide which side will win. I enjoyed Viral in TTGL for this, as well as Ramirez in Skies. The Plant Abductor is another role that accomplishes this, albeit to a lesser degree due to the lack of control he has on his targets.

This is why I like OS games. Even if his indies are balls-out hard to win with, he still makes some damn good ones that accomplish this very well.

What role, in your opinion, is a role that needs to be in games more?
The plant.

No but really, I want people to use the Plant Abductor more. I run experimental set-ups/roles for the sake of trying **** out to see if it's plausible/balanced but no one ever really takes any of my stuff. It's kinda sad.
I think, in general, I'd like to see hosts try to use linked roles or triggered roles more often, like the Plant Abductor. One thing I like to toy around with is how roles work. Instead of just sending me a night action, I like to do something where you have to earn it or a separate action of yours completely dictates your main one (i.e., the plant target automatically becoming the abduct). I think that's something that could be used for a lot of killing roles in general, as it gives them a chance to fail while still giving them multiple shots to succeed. The Adrenaline Vig from Gorf's game (not a dayvig) should happen more. If you're right, you're rewarded with a second shot. If you're wrong, you lose your gun. High-risk, high-reward, doesn't negatively impact the game much if you're wrong. Much better than a standard two-shot/three-shot vig that can put a game in LyLo earlier than intended just by being wrong.

Why can I never read you correctly? ;_;
I play like town easily. I'm naturally trustable. I play the exact same as Indy and almost the same as scum. No one's figured out my tells outside of Drew and I've gotten good enough that Drew, even when he reads me right, can't lynch me without a long paper trail. I make myself hard to read and call the plays I'd call as town or scum. It's not just you that gets fooled by me. I'm generally right in action and this makes it hard to lynch me.

What are some of your favorite music genres/songs?
I'm surprised you asked this and not Xonar but then I think Xonar might know the answer.

I'd call my taste borderline hipster-ish and yet not at all. I like a lot of relatively unknown bands, such as Karate, Jazzanova, or 65daysofstatic, but then I also have larger favorites like Mumford & Sons, Dave Matthews Band, and Gorillaz. My absolute favorite band, I think, is Modest Mouse as I tend to relate to their lyrics easiest.

So, I'd have to say I range between Jazz, Folk, Alternative Rock, Techno, and alternative/underground hip hop (**** mainstream bull****) and a lot of the inbetween. One of the things I love about 65dos is that they can shift between rock and various forms of techno quite well.

Take a listen:

As for some of my favorite songs, I could go on for hours, so I'll just give you a Laundry List (TM):
1. Rain Smell - Baths
2. One Sweet World (with the Intro at Citi Field) - Dave Matthews Band
3. Don't Go Down to Sorrow - 65daysofstatic
4. The General - Dispatch
5. Small Fires - Karate
6. Take Me Somewhere Nice - Mogwai
7. Ghost Towns - Radical Face
8. Whale Song - Modest Mouse
9. Not Alone - Seabird
10. Hanazono - Jazzanova

All of the named and not linked because I want you to go to the trouble of searching for them yourself. :]

And then I link Hanazono down the interview anyway.

Favorite movie?
All-time favorite's a hard one. It's a toss-up between the Dark Knight and Pulp Fiction.

If you could have one celebrity, who would it be and why?
I assume you mean dating them? I really don't spend my time looking up celebrities, so my scope's somewhat limited. I think it might have to be this girl though:

<3 cobie smulders

She's smart and ended up acting due to her talent for it but pursued other options. Intelligence is a plus for me, but she plays a gritty girl well and has some stunning peepers on her. Probably not the hottest girl in America but that's not a huge thing with me. I'd prefer her over Kate Upton, to say the least.

"WashedLaundry"?
Someone's gotta do it, yo.

Favorite clothes to wash?
Shirts. If you're not careful with the heavy stuff, it ends up too soaked and takes forever to dry, which wastes money at uni. :r

Tide or Cheer (or some other laundry detergent)?
I am a Tide man.

Worst moment in a mafia game ever?
Replacing into RE4 on this site. Being expected to contribute knowing you're going to die with absolutely no chance at redemption because a headstrong idiot is too stuck in his ways to give you even the slightest of a chance because he thinks he broke the game is stupid and I ended up shooting myself just to end it.

I think one that was equally as bad was walking into a game at L-1 because some ****bag decided it'd be hysterical to try to get you quicklynched D1. Then I slipped and he caught it and didn't let go until I modkilled myself. Potterwolf burns deep into my veins still to this day.

Where would you rate yourself on the Dgames tier list?
Top ten at least. I'm consistently good as all three alignments but I know I have flaws in my play that I need to overcome before I'd place myself as top five. Endgame, in particular, is where I'm weakest as any alignment.

(part 1)How do you want to be remembered when you die?
As an optimist, a forward thinker, a simplistic idealist, and a gentleman. Someone who did what he could for others, even at the cost of himself, and managed to change the lives of those around him.

(part 2)What truths about the world allowed you to come to this conclusion?
Personal experiences. Surprisingly, there's a lot more good than bad in the world, just nobody focuses on it because the bad is blown up by media and a human intrigue in the dark underbelly of the world. But I still want to stand apart from how pessimistic most people I meet are. I don't like giving up, others do it too easily. I hate leaving it alone.

What do you look for in a friend, living space, and/or a job?
These are...completely unrelated things.

Friends are always a tricky beast. For the most part, I just look for someone who cares about me, is willing to put up with my oddities, still appreciates me for who I am, and pushes for me to be myself. I also like it when I have assurance that they'll be at my side if I need them and that they're a high-quality person in terms of their integrity.

Living spaces need to have a lot of light/windows. I somewhat got at it with Laundry's apartment in LASPM but I like having a view, a lot of windows for natural light, a lot of natural life around me, and is in a quiet place. My current neighborhood fits all of that but I hate the house I live in because it's pig disgusting. There's also not a lot happening here and I'm far away from most of my friends.

For my job, I'm not particularly fond of doing something mindless and repetitive. I like creative jobs, jobs that force me to think, jobs that allow me to change what I do from time to time. I'm an artist and I hate being confined to doing something so constrained as washing dishes or stocking shelves the rest of my life.

I think that about sums it up.

Where did you come up with the name washed laundry? Why did it stick? Same for Riddle.
I got the name Riddle when I was 13. Back then I had a mild interest in them because they were brain teasers I could spend my time thinking about. I used to post them on a themed group on Neopets and got the nickname "The Riddle Lupe." I kept it because it was better than what I was using when I transitioned to another site all the way up until I joined AiB. At AiB, the mods loved to spontaneously change my name to the most random of **** such as Meredith Ruby Brandy Meadowsizzle III, esq. (currently kept alive by the hydra Meadowsizzle), Rainbows Make Me Cry, Cancer Dodger, etc. One time I got my name changed to Laundry for some silly reason and the guy would only change it back if I made it my XBL gamertag. I did and I ended up liking it more than Riddle (not to mention it's practically impossible to get the name "Riddle" on a site anymore), so I started using WashedLaundry everywhere I went instead.

If you could have any one super power what would you have?
I'd love to fly. I like being up in high places but I'm absolutely terrified of it. Being able to do that would allieve me of some of my fear, I think, and I'd enjoy the hell out of it. I also would enjoy some basic power that I could use in a lot of different ways, such as electromagnetism or wind control. I've thought a lot about wind control and when I used to RP way back in the day, I played wind mages. Don't ever let me have them in an AGame.

What are your major hopes and dreams?
To become a good artist, to become a good musician, to become a good parent, to pass on everything I've learned, to help others when they need it.

Alternatively, I have no hopes and dreams. I expect none of you to get that reference.

Top 7 dgamers in terms of mafia, iyo.
EE'd be the top of the list but he retired. So I guess it comes down to Ryker, Swiss, and Kuz for sure. I'd put marshy next, follow him up with OS, continue on with Kata, and then end with vanz.

Pretty respectable list, imo.

ill wash YOUR laundry
oh bby

how was your day today laundreezy
ezpz

Kinda boring, got around to this, ****ed around on the internet, talked to friends, went to work, came home, posted this.

what is your earliest memory?
I have a lot of random memories from when I was still in the daycare my mom ran with a friend (I was about 3-5 during that time period or so, don't exactly remember). I don't exactly remember when stuff happened but I remember a couple of things. I can still remember a day we went outside to release a bunch of balloons with messages on them to the skies. I remember one day when my mom got a call from the school i was going to to tell her which teacher I'd get. She found out it wasn't the teacher I wanted, and she turned and kinda laughed at me. I was 4. My mom's kind of a *****.

I also remember playing some clue-like game where you had to avoid a murderer in the house. I don't remember the name of the game but I played it a lot, especially with a couple of other kids that were there (two were called Tia and Bleys). I also remember going outside and building these mazes in the sandbox and then sticking crickets in them. Whenever the crickets got out, I'd catch them again and pull their legs off to make sure they stayed in there.

I have a lot of random memories from back then.

Playing at AiB with you wasn't half-bad, why haven't the other players migrated over here? There is some potential.
We got most of the people worth mentioning. We might be bringing one over for a future game and Fandangox is a guy that showed up for my AGame from AiB. I'd love for some to come back but the hope of that is small. I think they wouldn't really appreciate it here, we're really hardcore and a lot of them get butthurt for getting called out for the **** they're doing.

Who are your favorite DGames players to play with? Who are the best DGames players? If you could hang out with 5 DGamers for a day, who would they be?
Ryker when he's the same alignment as me (which NEVER happens anymore), Stew, Asidoh, Nabe, and Gorf are always fun to play with. I think I'd hang out with Ryker, Raz, Gova, Stew, and Xonar on any given night.

Favorite setup/Favorite mafia game/Favorite role/Best Town Play/Best Scum Play/Worst Town Play/Worst Scum Play/Least favorite setup/Least favorite mafia game/Least favorite role?
Favorite Set-up: UTrick'd was crazy but still maintained a sense of balance, crazy good set-up.

Favorite mafia game: Answered, Pulp Fiction.

Favorite Role: To play? Mafia Traitor. I can do nothing and play like usual, play stupid scummy and draw out useful **** in the process, or just bus the hell out of my teammates with absolutely no way for them to connect to me.

In terms of PRs, I enjoy vigs and bus drivers. Redirection is fun and gives me so many options, regardless of alignment.

Best Town Play: There have been a lot of games where I'd be on and then something would happen. In a game called "Can I Be the Hero?" on AiB, I pegged 4/5 scum in a day and had to replace out due to going on vacation. My town play's taken a tick up recently but it's still working out. I think I'd have to say that I saved the town in WW1 back on AiB, and that I did well in Utrick'd1 but those really don't count in my mind.

BUT THEN OS ALL-STARS D1

How's that band of yours going?
It disbanded at the beginning of the spring semester. Lots of drama with it and neither the drummer nor I could commit to it on top of our hectic schedules. It was fun while it lasted but I don't miss it. I've moved to piano since and, honestly, I'm enjoying that more. I still miss my bass though.

Why do you say 'gog' a lot, and why do you get so heated when you play mafia? I always see you ranting about anything with ****ing mother****ing censors and ****ing ****
Explained the former. I get heated because I get into the game and that's how I did it. I get worried that if I relaxed and tried to be chill throughout the game, no one would listen to me and I'd be stuck trying to fight for control. I already have to do that enough as it is in games with Ryker/Swiss/marshy/J.

That and getting all shouty tends to scare the stupid out of people.

VIDEOGAMES. VIDEOGAMES. VIDEO GAMES. Yeah, so tell me what kinda video games you play.
RPGs mainly. I think a grand majority of the games I own are either RPGs or Pokemon. I enjoy games with a story to them (incentive to replay it IMO) and those are most apparent in RPGs.

I also really enjoy games that work with a simple formula yet create different results throughout gameplay. League is an example of this, as is MKW, Brawl, and most other online games. It's my incentive to keep playing--I won't know what happens every time I start a round.

I also own a fringe shooter game here or there (Borderlands is so good and I like to play with friends, excited for BL2), a fighter or two, and adventure games like Legend of Zelda and Okami.

I'm willing to play any game as long as it's fun though. I kinda wish I got into the arcade beat-em-ups more when they were alive and popular. No one really makes them much anymore and that's depressing.

DGames is a sunday morning cartoon. What is its theme song?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Msg8ypnLqaw

Nah, lets do something that's a little less weaaboo.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTeOVJb99FA

I'd definitely pick something pretty jazzy given the time period organized crime was pretty popular. We're all living in a modern age and most of us seem to like hip hop to some degree and this uses a lot of elements. It's also draws a lot of oriental theme and there a ****ton of people who enjoy Japanese entertainment (it is a smash site after all). It's also got this mysterious air. I think the only thing that makes it not a perfect fit is it's not very intense or full of action.

You hold Newt Gingrich at gunpoint and tell him to name a rap album. What does he say?
Watch the Throne, obv.

You are forced to write a romantic fanfic about two DGamers. Who are they?
I'd shoot myself if I ever had to write trashy gay porn so either Ryker x himself or Ran x July. I guess.

DGames really needs more girls. Like Stew!

I can't say I have much of a green thumb.

Who wins in a fight Of All DGamers
Ryker has intelligence and bravado, Swiss is cunning and witty, Stew has girlish charm, and marshy has swag but unless any of them could wrestle a bear and win, they wouldn't be able to beat Evil Eye.

The way I see it happening in my mind is that a bunch of people would just show up in this ring of ****. You'd see people like ****ing Ruy and Kary show up drunk as hell and be eliminated within seconds because they're too inebriated to understand what's going on. Bardull might have a chance but then Ryker'd start taunting him and he'd just fling himself at Ryker only to get completely destroyed by Ryker's insatiable ego and the multitude of traps he set for Bardull. I'd probably run around the circle just taking shots at people but then someone'd get pissed and take me down and

y'know what

no

ee wouldn't win

you know who'd win?

:gova:

who the hell would dare to mess up a face carved by God and polished with the robe of Jesus

You're cold and alone in an alley in an abandoned New York City. You have one match and a cup of gasoline. What is it time for?

DUMPSTER FIRE <3

Will the cause ever be found?
Nay, 'tis a shame, but until we discover the hero of codes and c++, we shan't ever finish such a right and noble cause.

Betagold or Obacurbs beta?
Maaan, Beat let me down so many times. Between GG2 and countless Mafia games and other ****, there's no contest. Obacurbs beta by far.

This occasionally plays at the Meijers I work at. It's pretty catchy, the main riff sounds really clean and fresh and it works. It's not like Gangnam Style but I'd give it a solid 7 or 8 in catchiness.

Top five favorite fictional characters?
LUCKILY I DID IT ABOVE NOW I JUST HAVE TO LIMIT IT TO FIVE **** YES
Of the group above, Vriska, Syme, Sho, Raven, and Landa.

Give me that image that best describes yourself as well as a song that does the same job.
Instead of just repeating the image and song above, I'll do a couple just for you.

As for the song, let's go with...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYXlFYBW56g

Is it a cop-out to use my own artwork? I feel like using something that's an extension of my own thoughts and emotions would suit me best.

Now, give me the image that best describes Xonar and the one that best describes Nabe.
oh gog

Xonar: http://i.imgur.com/atiJj.jpg

The character fits him too well. I swear, I die a little every time I hear him say "3dpd"

Nabe: http://www.alexcarmichal.com/animatedgifs/lbp.gif

Can I have a hug?
anything for you bby

Remember those 5 dGamers you were chilling with? Pick a quote to describe each of them. Movie, book, something you heard. Anything goes, as long as it's not your own words :v
And then Laundry never finished his interview because he couldn't think of quotes.
I feel like this could take me days to compile. It has taken me days to figure **** out and I couldn't think of anything. I will keep looking and edit this answer in as a result.

Are you an optimist, realist or pessimist?
I remain an optimist despite having the capability of looking at a situation and seeing how it'll likely turn out. I still remain hopeful for the best case.

Are your friends optimist, realist or pessimist?
Somewhere between realistic and pessimistic. I've never met anyone as optimistic as I am that didn't give it up because they kept getting let down.

What type of girls are you attracted to? Like, give us some defining characteristics.
But I j-...sigh. I guess I can go more in-depth.
Basically, while these factors can vary, I'm really attracted to dark-haired women. Not really women with any shade of brown hair leading up to dirty blondes, but really, really dark hair. I've always been a sucker for women like those and my first crush had hair of that color. It's not specifcally that color--I've found a blonde woman here and there attractive as well.

I've always liked women of a fairer skin tone. I'm not particularly attracted to women with tanned skin unless their skin is naturally that hue. This recent "GOTTA BE TANNED" rage is stupid to me and it's hilarious when people manage to turn themselves orange as a result. I guess the Oompa Loompas won a strike with Wonka or something considering how many of them are running around outside the factory now. It's mostly a personal preference I guess.

As for her eyes...it's not so dependent on the color. I think color helps me to define them but at the same time, a woman with beautiful eyes is a woman with beautiful eyes. I've never really been picky between eye colors. Brown eyes are as beautiful as baby blues are as beautiful as emerald greens and any of the shades inbetween.

If we're going into personality types, that's a little bit harder to define. I think I've been partial to the slightly-flirty, good-willed types that are strong in nature but also damned intelligent to boot. Not counting my most recent ex, every woman I've been attracted to beyond the physical level has fit that to an extent. For some reason, I don't mind if she's a bit of a *****. That seems to come with the "strong" territory and you just get over it after awhile.

Anyone you look up to? Famous or not, doesn't matter.
My dad's been a huge influence on my life and just recently I realized how much he mattered to me.

Will you wash my laundry? ;[
Sure! Just gimme the detergent and separate all your gogdamn underwear (I'm not touching that ****) and I'll do it.

Will you answer this all by video/audio?

If only, if only, the woodpecker sighs, the bark on the tree was as soft as the skies, while the wolf waits below, hungry and lonely, crying to the moo-oo-oon, if only, if only.

When and how did you get into competitive Pokemon?
Ages ago. More specifically, I truly got into it around January or so of 2011. I had always flirted with the idea beforehand. GS had done a couple of gen4 tournaments that had interested me in it, I had tried building competitive teams in my games and stuff, I had even tried Smogon, but it never really clicked for me. Eventually I heard about PO and gave that a shot once my old MKW clan, Omega, started playing and I pushed my way into it. The GS crew had some people playing and we even established our own server. Everything just went from there.

For the record, Stew, my first team I ever tried was a rain team. It consisted of two rain starters, a bunch of water Pokemon, and an Electivire. I'm the epitome of everything you hate in Pokemon. And then I grew out of it almost immediately.

What's your favorite type of team to build?
STALLSTALLSTALLSTALLSTALLSTALL

5th gen has this huge offensive momentum bull**** theory that I don't understand in practice. I get the point of it and even how to get it to work but I can never really pull it off well. The most offensive I'll go is "balanced," where I still lean more defensive than offensive.

But stall? I love it. It's challenging too because you can't just ****ing say "OH I'LL USE THIS WITH THIS WITH THIS AND WE'LL BEAT ALL THE SWEEPERS." Type coverage is insane. Power levels of this gen are insane (with the addition of the therian-formes, ****'s hitting mewtwo levels). It takes a really damn good team to be able to truly do it and I've so far created one to my liking and another that's pretty close to done at the moment. I just love building good defensive cores. That feeling of watching my opponent struggle to do anything he wants to do is one of the things I enjoy about this game and is entirely why SubStall Gliscor is my favorite pokemon. Once he's behind a sub and you're toxiced, that's pretty much it.

Why aren't you running gastrodon on all your teams?
Better bulky waters are out there. I like Gastrodon but I've not been able to find a core that I can fit him well on. Maybe on my upcoming Sandstall team that I keep putting off, but neither rain nor sun team has been able to fit him.

And, of course, I'd use Broto's set. Why use toxic when you can just kill it (if only I applied this logic everywhere else)?

Quick, a garchomp is setting up to sweep your team, what do?
That depends. If I have Skarmory, Amoonguss, Alomomola, or Gliscor behind a sub out already, that. If I don't, chances are I just got beat.

gaemphrik pls nerf dragons so op

You pull up to a gas station at 4am. No one is around for miles and the station is self-serve. Suddenly, a black man approaches you and says that he is Rockin. What do you say and do?
If the backside of my pants don't turn the color of his skin, I'd probably give him a curt wave and start talking to him, then go from there. If he makes a sudden move, my car is too feet away, I have a fast hand, and I get the jump on him nearly every time.

What would you do if you were just walking to class on campus one day, then suddenly you got attacked by a motha****in' chain chomp?
Fun fact: There either is or was a girl who attended my college who had the nickname "Chain Chomp." Imagine my laughter when I saw this question.

Let's see. Chances are, it probably saw me as I walked out of my dorm and crossed the street. I'm imagining it was chasing some douchebag's car as he drove up the street right in front of my dorm (chain chomps are essentially dogs so) and probably noticed me as I was walking away. I'd imagine I'm also the closest one to it if it suddenly went after me.

SO WHAT WOULD I DO? Find the closest Italian-wannabe douchebag and toss him in (:troll:). If that didn't work, run him to the athletic center and let him run around in the football field. I don't think he could bounce his way out of there and it'd buy me enough time to find out how to put a damn chain on the thing. It'd make a great mascot.

My school, conveniently, has the bulldog as a mascot. The irony of this question is quite incredible.

Top 5 favorite Pokemon?
GLISCOR
ROTOM-W
GALLADE
CROAGUNK
UMBREON

easymodo

Honorable mentions go to Blaziken and Natu.

Top 5 least favorite Pokemon?
I ****ing hate Bidoof. If there was one thing fourth gen did to piss me off, it was to take one of the dumbest-looking Pokemon ever, give it to the main bad guys SO THEY USED IT ALL THE ****ING TIME, and then PUT IT MOTHER****ING EVERYWHERE.
**** Bidoof. And Bibarel. So glad moody's banned. FFS.

But that's not the top one. I was hoping it'd end there but, no. Game Freak are master trolls. They've made games that consist of you fighting against nearly 700 exotic fauna and catching ones you like. Anything from rats to bats to mother****in' mutant cats and y'know what they put in? Trash. Literal ****ing trash. Freakin Garbodor and Trubbish are such rubbish Pokemon.

BUT THAT'S STILL NOT THE CREME OF THE CROP. I could **** literal miles of rage snake for this next one. It is a pokemon so bad, so ****ish, so absolutely unlikable that I cannot believe it even exists. There's no competitive value to it. I have yet to meet a person that truly likes it. It is a ****. It is ugly. It is stupid.

This is it:

This ****ing thing is the devil. It's well aware of its stupid-looking appearance and naturally low place in the Pokemon spectrum. It doesn't evolve. It doesn't get better. It's abso-****ing-lutely terrible in every degree of the word. And yet, it still laughs at you. Taunts you, even. Chortles at you as if you are somehow ****ing worse than it. Oh, look, you found a fish flounder thing? Sucks to be you, bro, lemme laugh at you for a bit. This ****ing thing pissed me off the moment I saw it and I hope it ****ing burns.

Rounding out the top five are Purugly and Garchomp.

If someone were to start playing competitive, what advice would you give them?
Try ****. Sometimes it's best to use the standard thing, but usually you need to experiment. Don't be afraid by the fact that something's a lower tier. I've been using an RU Pokemon for half of my competitive career and people are finally just realizing it's a top-tier spinblocker and one of the best psychic counters and stallbreakers in the game.

Don't get deterred. You're playing a game with a learning curve that requires a serious amount of game knowledge to be good. You're going to experience things that you won't know what to do. I've come across Pokemon that do **** that make me go "WHAT THE HELL?" all the time. When you have 693 Pokemon and somewhat bi-annual updates via new games, you get a lot of chances for new **** to come out that changes the metagame. A lot of how good I am comes from pure experience and knowledge of what things can do. I couldn't even build a stall team without knowing as much as I do.

Don't get too attached to your favorites; you'll find new ones. There's 53 Pokemon in OU at the moment and like 3 in BL or so out of the 693 Pokemon that exist. Chances are so much higher that your favorite Pokemon sucks than it doesn't. I have yet to make a Gallade team. I probably never will. So I made new favorites based on the **** I liked using. Gliscor and Rotom-W are two cool, fun Pokemon I like a lot that actually jumped up my favorites list because of how good they are competitively.

P.S. I'm bringing back Empoleon.

That's about it.

If I got a few dgamers to cheer you on, would you 2 stock Red Ryu with Jigglypuff?
I'd have to learn how to jiggs first but sure.
If you absolutely had to have sex with five Pokémon (not at once), which ones and why? Be sure to include how horrifying it would be on a scale of 1-10 and how bad you expect your forthcoming nightmares to be on a scale of 1-10.
Forced beastiality is something I've never really considered before so this took a lot of time to answer. I wouldn't touch the **** I'd hate, anything too small would be too ****ing wrong, and I think it'd be too traumatic to look at my favorites again after such an event. So it'd have to be something that is completely meaningless to me.

This is the weirdest ****ing question I have to think about.

Jegus, okay, here we go:

Let's try to limit this by typing. If I absolutely have to do this, I'm not risking my personal health and I don't wanna hurt the poor ******* more than I already have to (for the record, I'm doing this with a gun to my head and my friends' lives on the line). So, none of the following types: fire, grass, poison, bug, rock, ice, ground (SAND UGH), steel, and electric.

Ghosts are necrophilia. I'm already committing beastiality, I'M NOT MAKING IT WORSE.

So that leaves dark, psychic, water, normal, dragon, and flying.
Jegus **** this is disgusting.

uuuuuuuuuuugggh

Miltank would have to be one. Just because it's ****ing Miltank, I don't hate it enough despite how obnoxiously strong Whitney's Miltank is. I also don't particularly care for it. It's obviously female. It's a cow. Probably...that. I guess, anyway.

Probably a Liepard.

A clefairy.

I...I don't ****ing know, Altaria.

And then I guess I'd **** a Golduck.

On a scale of 1-10, they'd both be a 10.

THERE GOG IT'S OVER LET THE NIGHTMARE CEASE.

What is your favorite word in the English language?
I don't think I really have a favorite word. It changes a lot, along with some of my regular speaking quirks. I have a habit of finding something really cool, saying it for awhile, and then letting it die out of my regular vocabulary.

Why are you the worst ap mid NA?
It's some mixture of being bad at the game and playing characters I'm bad at (like Kennen!). Since I got my own computer and started playing more regularly, I've gotten a bit better, or at least, I think I have.

which dgamer might actually be one of your alternate accounts?
It's Soup. If you've ever wondered why he and I haven't ever met each other despite living less than an hour away from one another? It's because he's me. Everything that's different about him is me trying to create a front. The fact we've both been in Skype call? A voice changer and a separate computer with a special mic.

I am Soup.

He is me.

who's your favourite dgamer to play with?
Ryker. Oh the plays we can make if we ever have any form of communication with one another. You should've seen the Gastrodon crumb in Upickemon, it was brilliant.

best up and coming mafia player?
You, by far! Outside of you, I'd say Gorf was really coming into his own before bad things happened and JTB's play has taken somewhat of an uptick whenever he's here.

what's the best way to deal with a salty dgamer?
I am the salty dgamer.

But seriously, don't degrade them, don't be condescending, don't even do anything ridiculous. Try to understand where they're coming from. Usually people tend to get pissed whenever people are ignoring them or just frustrated about things. Sometimes they're wrong so don't be like "OH YOU'RE WRONG BUT I'MMA LET YOU DO IT ANYWAY." Explain why they're wrong then. If they're frustrated, chances are, it's for a reason.

what do you look for in a scumbuddy?
Intelligence and a person capable of putting work into what I plan to do. Or someone who can make a plan on his own. Someone who can make sure I'm not being a ******* and help me get a victory by D4.

Or two total dopes I can bus D1/D2 for playing badly. I'm pretty flexible.

what part of designing setups do you like the best?
Creating new things and sharing those ideas with the players and seeing how they react to them.

recommend me an awesome song you heard recently?
Anais Mitchell-Doubt Comes In

It's ****ing wonderful how creepy and mysterious it can sound while still sounding well. Really good musicality and a lot of emotion. I love it a lot.
TWO FOR ONE BONUS:

This Will Destroy You-Little Smoke
is it better to have loved and lost?
It beats not loving at all. Sometimes you just need to lose, learn from why you lost, and then pick yourself back up and keep pushing onward. It sucks, you'll hate it while you're recovering but I'm a firm believer that it's better to try and fail than not to try at all.

which is your favourite moment from a mafia game?
I always love it whenever I play well as scum and no one even entertains the idea, only to see me flip. Happened in skies. Happened in TTGL. Happened in UTrick'd2. Happened in Ryker maf. Whenever I'm mafia (and I get it a lot), it's rare to see me blow my cover before endgame if I'm caught at all. Seeing people's faces when they go "WAIT, LAUNDRY WAS SCUM?!" is probably my favorite moment. I love it when I'm capable of fooling people.

what's your favourite play/action that you've made in a mafia game?
Blowing up Nabe/Circus and Ryker/Stew D1 in OS' game. Gog I got so damn high off that, especially considering all the **** Drew put me through in earlier games just because he ****ing could.

I think my favorite thing I've done was get Vult Redux lynched off of pure bull**** as Indy in a game waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back on AiB. It was ridiculous and should not have happened. I threw conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory with absolutely no real backing behind it. I won the argument, got the lynch, and nailed the other third party leader in the process.

Too bad he already had at least two mates in his cause that promptedly decided to blow me up.

and...what's your favourite flavour ice cream?
Moose Tracks is the best gogdamn flavor ever and you're either a heathen, wrong, or allergic to peanuts if you don't agree.

You are the final boss, and about to confront the heroes. Quote before fighting, location of battle, and battle theme music.
"What is a man? Nothing more than a pile of misery and secrets. But enough talk, HAVE AT YOU!"

I would be fighting in a sky fortress. It'd be an open-air arena with a lot of room and cover.

Battle theme music? Jegus, I've already blown Radio Protector. Try this sequence:

If you were a humen fighting in the war against the combines and science at the base of the Hug Tower in Full Life Consequences, what would your battle plan be?
Grab me wepon and snipe a bunch of *******s.

I'll confess I've never watched all of the FLC things. I need to get on that. Too many other things to address though, like this ****ing interview. I have the upcoming week completely free though, so I'll probably watch it then.
If your life was a movie what would it be called?Solitude.

If Ryker's life was a movie what would it be called?
Handlebars.

If you just had to, who would you bottom ***** for on Dgames?
WHY DO PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW THIS **** SO MUCH GOGDAMN

Stew, Ryker, Xonar, one of those three now stop asking me this ****

What type of villain do you like more, the one who's just crazy but does cool things because they're crazy, or the one that's sympathetic and just so happens to be fighting for a different cause than the heroes?
I'm a fan of both. I like the humanized villains as much as I love the crazy ones but I think, to create either well, they need to be well-written. There are plenty of crazy villains but I can only think of a handful that really are well-executed to the point that "special" point. Likewise, the human one needs to have a just cause and a motivation to point towards it. It can't just be anything in order to do it well, it has to be really well-written and characterized.

Like, let's compare the final bosses of Tales of Vesperia and Symphonia (spoilers to those of you who haven't played either). In Vesperia, you had Duke. He's your stock and fodder humanized villain. He's got a good side--he wants to fix the aer imbalance in the game--but he'd rather destroy the humans that caused it in the first place. Now compare him to Mithos from Tales of Symphonia. Mithos had a similar humanized approach. He also hated humans but for an entirely different reason--half-elfs were completely ostracized and villainized for being ******* children. He hated it and rightly so. But his method for fixing it was to create an age of lifeless beings, where race didn't matter and everyone was "lifeless." You had every reason to stop him--his solution was terrible--but you felt bad doing it because you know the reason he was doing it was because he was essentially opressed throughout his life for something he ultimately couldn't even control. Duke doesn't hold a candle to that, it's not even close.

I think on an equal level, I'd say the bat**** ones are harder to do because you need to be just a bit crazy yourself to even write one long enough to establish the character. There's a certain brand of insanity they have that's just so hard to capture and so rare to see executed well.

Magic or melee attacks?
While I play **** like Fizz, I'm a ranger by nature and don't know how to handle things up in my face. I play snipers for that sole reason.

Speed or brute strength?
I'm a speedy kinda guy, always have been. I've never had strength on which to rely, so I adjusted to being fast instead.

Mac or PC?
I am a PC man and have been raised as such.

What animal represents your manly soul?
Hmm...I see myself as a Sparrow Hawkto be honest.

If I would grant you three wishes, what would they be and why?
The ability to find someone whom I love and loves me back--I've searched too long.

The strength to keep her happy and never let her go--I don't want to have to look again.

The creativity to change the art world--I want to cause a revolution.

If you had to live somewhere else in the world besides America, were would you go?
SCOTLAND. I like France but I'd really wanna go to Scotland and live in a place with a rich natural history, a sort of rugged outdoors nature in its local life and building style, and the accents are awesome. And, yeh, Scotland. I know you Irish have your reputation for being fat drunks but your ancestors weren't so gogdamn scary that the Romans had to build a wall to keep you out.

Think of a really interesting question that you haven't been asked yet, and answer it.
This is such a ****ing cop-out.

"What are some of the things your dad really inspired in you?"

First, my beliefs. Those three things I said above are all life lessons he taught me specifically. They were all things I had to be punished for and I took what he told me to heart. He's not a perfect man--for that matter, neither am I--but he's helped me become who I am.

But he's also kinda pushed my interests as well. I've fallen in love with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Nolan's Batman trilogy, all of the comic book movies of yore. I think it started when he took me to see the Dark Knight as well as the first Iron Man. Since then, I've been watching all of them and keeping up with each of them. I've even watched some ******* children like the Watchmen.

He's also inspired my interest in sports. I'm a Bengals and Reds fan through exposure. They were the team he loved while I grew up and I've always been around them. It was one of our last ways of connecting before I went off to college and I kinda miss having those Sundays where he and I'll go see a game together at a local bar with good food.

What REALLY sucks?
Naruto.

Alternatively Bleach.

Alternatively the gogdamn fanbases of both of those series. FFS, they're everywhere man. One of my friends is a ****ing Narutard and I give her **** about it all the time. I mean, they're not even ****ing ninjas. They're wizards that just learned how to jump really gogdamn far.

I mean, wizard supremacy y'all and all that but come the **** on, don't give me a bunch of false advertisement.

****ing Naruto.

You like mid lane?
Yeh, I like how generally safe it is and the escape options I have if I see a rogue Dunk Truck come tearing at me from the bushes. I also like ganking. I probably will learn to jungle because I do enjoy it. Mids who gank well=mids who win.

Kill ponies, yes?
With fire.

Dumpster fires, that is.

DUMPSTER FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRES <3

I always forget what kind of bird you have what is it?
A pair of finches and a trio of doves. Unfortunately most of my birds have perished since I went to college. I once had over 20 of them.

What kind of job you got?
Third shift stocking. Never do it, it's pointless and repetitive and your schedule gets ****ed.

Where in the world is Mewtwo Sandiego?
Hanging out with Sudowaldo.

If yer buyin', I'm in!

If you're referring to alcoholic beverages, I tend not to drink much at all. I've had some lighter things here and there in the past semester or so but even when I turn 21, I don't plan to drink much. I do plan to get drunk once just so I know the sensation and my limit, then probably never going to hit that point again.

Favorite season?
Fall/Winter. Can't decide. Fall inspires the artist in me and it's easily the best time to be outside. Winter is just ****ing beautiful and I love the snow.

Best and worst set-up around here from what others have hosted?
I've not read every game in the archive but I think Math Blasters was a ****in excellent set-up. Dexter still is the absolute worst I've ever seen.

Notable set-ups?
Again, UTrick'd1 had excellent design. I think the only thing that bothered me was Roxy being a strongman. Anything OS has ever done has had at least a great idea in it. The F&L set-up at the very least tried to present a different way to how double mafia could work and, while it's not particularly effective, it's a step in the right direction. Two unrestricted kills is dumb. Ryker Maf also had a really sound set-up.

Is Mario Kart 64 and DS broken?
I have actually never really gotten into the competive scene of either. I don't know anything about 64, I know DS takes a ****ton of technical skill, way more than MKW ever took. I have no idea about MK7.

What do I do wrong in mafia a lot?
You tend to develop wrong reads for the wrong reasons. It's especially worse when you're right for the wrong reasons. You also tend to be sheepish and follow scum as a result. You're usually an easy enough read, so that helps in that department. You also slip a lot a scum. Double check what you should and shouldn't know and for gog's sake don't doublecross what you claim.

You commit suicide. How?
I don't. The thought crossed my mind before, but I could never go through with it. The thought of taking my own life is taking too much to bear and I couldn't bring myself to do it. I'm not ready for the other side.

You commit genocide. How?
If I couldn't kill myself, how could I kill others?

Those are both very morbid subjects, can we not talk about them?

Laundere! How does this nickname make you feel? What's the best kind of gimmick or best way to implement a gimmick into a mafia game? How do you balance PR heavy games so that Mass Claim doesn't wreck them? I sure hope everybody already asked all the questions I wanted to. Also could you make another joke about Rockin?!
I have to say I wasn't sure about it at first but it's catchy and makes me laugh. Though I'm disturbed you, Xonar, and Moth think of me as a princess. You guys and your weeaboo tastes.

I think the best way to install a gimmick is to purposely incorporate it from the getgo and make sure it's either the theme of the game or ties into the theme of the game. If it just is there for the sake of being a gimmick, it usually ends up as a distraction and a detriment if it's not flat-out broken. For example, Gorf's communication gimmick in MP2 was obviously just there as a gimmick and hurt the game as a result. Gigabots was designed around misinformation and had a lot of gimmick roles as a result of it that worked towards that.

You include a lot of **** that doesn't confirm itself and can look scummy. Throw in a lot of red herring roles that are anti-town by nature and can serve as a distraction if people are dumb about it. I haven't quite mastered this--OS has though. His games consistently feature games where massclaims do little than to confirm what all is out there.

I'm outta Rockin jokes though, I don't really know him well enough.

You write a how-to guide. How?
With a lot of bravado, jokes, useful explanations and examples, and ignoring what salty people who only believe what they say is right or devil's advocates say otherwise.

You say hello. Ni hao?
Bonjour. Hola.

Typically I say hi with a short wave and a "Hiya!" if I'm in a good mood. I also have a way of saying "Hello" or "Oh Hello" where I emphasize the "-lo" part. If I'm upset or feeling pissed, its a curt "hi." If I'm trolling people who I know don't like French, "bonjour" works too well.

And with that, I leave you this:

WHY THE **** ARE ALL OF YOU UP AT 8 IN THE MORNING?

Xonar and marshy have reasonable answers but the rest of you?
If you sleep in later, you waste the day. I generally wake up at 7 and go running at 730. It'll probably be earlier when school starts. >_>

I read this.

Was not disappointed. Laughed quite a few times. Nice answers. Best question was still the 5 things I don't know :v

also re: fighting Gova

I just couldn't do it. We'd both be on top of a mountain of corpses and I'd rear back my fist and

:gova:

and I'd just seize up because no man could ever be so heartless

(I don't think gova would kill me though I think he'd invite me to a barbecue)

also all of those rockin jokes ranged from moderate chuckle to literal laugh so ****in' kudos, and good interview overall

I've actually been sheltered from what normal Americans would call "regular television." I'm a bit jaded in that a lot of the **** I watched when I was in my early teenage years really was utter ****.
For similar reasons I never got the hype for shows like Spongebob, Edx3, or Angry Beavers. That kind of humor has always been lost on me.

The only reason marshy and Nabe took the hydra name "No Hetero" was because the name "Rockin" was already taken.
That one's really good.

3) Be honest. I hate liars. I hate getting lied to. I hate lying to others, even when I feel I have to. You and I both deserve to know the truth.
>mfw mafia player

Because the second you reject any form of truth, you lose all sense of what's real.
I still love that answer.

Rockin had a window installed on his closet door just so others could see he wasn't in there. He then went inside and discovered he liked the view.
Are you a professional?

Detective Story
Not even mad. I enjoyed that read.

Swiss knows Ryker the player. I know Ryker the man. I have the advantage and I plan not to relent it.
*swoon*

Outside of that, in Werewolf 12 on AiB, I gave someone a role called the "Retardedly Suspicious Vigilante of Justice." It was a standard vig with both a BP and a miller status. He was made to look completely suspicious if he claimed or was investigated. He then turned around and carried the game regardless of it. This is the only time the guy ever played a ****ing game of mafia to the finish. If that's the kind of performance he wants to be known for, I'm thoroughly okay with that.
That is STILL one of my favorite roles every created. It ****ed me over really good as a scum team member with a compulsive bodyguard ability.

My question is why the theatrics are what is considered scummy and the content isn't really analyzed half the time.

I won that game because, upon my death, I could revive a player as an independent and win if he won. I did so, and then his alignment got changed and I won with mafia as town nurse.

That's actually true. What you need to not do is let me (or anyone else) push your buttons and provoke an answer that can be used against you. I've done that to you when I was town as well.

I think one that was equally as bad was walking into a game at L-1 because some ****bag decided it'd be hysterical to try to get you quicklynched D1. Then I slipped and he caught it and didn't let go until I modkilled myself. Potterwolf burns deep into my veins still to this day.
Yeah, what a ****bag.

Hint: LoM is not a new concept.

Wasn't me, but the peer pressure involved was hilarious. I like the end result.

God, anyone that's taken the time to think about them for as long as you would not be fun to see with wind powers.

Nay, 'tis a shame, but until we discover the hero of codes and c++, we shan't ever finish such a right and noble cause.
One day, there will be a call to arms for our cause and the day will be found. The cause shall be lost no longer. I may be that hero, but today I am just a man.

Maaan, Beat let me down so many times. Between GG2 and countless Mafia games and other ****, there's no contest. Obacurbs beta by far.
In general, sure, Hideo and Masahiro are amazing people, but I was talking specifically the beta games.

All the songs and links
I want to check them, but will have to later.

Somewhere between realistic and pessimistic. I've never met anyone as optimistic as I am that didn't give it up because they kept getting let down.
HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY!

Oh God, Omega. Now I'm going to be saying "soret" for the next few months.

Better bulky waters are out there. I like Gastrodon but I've not been able to find a core that I can fit him well on. Maybe on my upcoming Sandstall team that I keep putting off, but neither rain nor sun team has been able to fit him.
You take that back.

And, of course, I'd use Broto's set. Why use toxic when you can just kill it (if only I applied this logic everywhere else)?
At least there's that.

Ryker. Oh the plays we can make if we ever have any form of communication with one another. You should've seen the Gastrodon crumb in Upickemon, it was brilliant.
You wonder why I love AM and RadFic.

Blowing up Nabe/Circus and Ryker/Stew D1 in OS' game. Gog I got so damn high off that, especially considering all the **** Drew put me through in earlier games just because he ****ing could.
Good job on that again, btw.

Lynching him at that point in the site's mafia career was a rewarding accomplishment, even if you were completely wrong and it threw the game. He literally didn't die and for stupid reasons.

I would be fighting in a sky fortress. It'd be an open-air arena with a lot of room and cover.
Someone link Annihilation of Monsteropolis.

Hanging out with Sudowaldo.
Best one-liner I've heard all year.

Good read. Maybe more comments when I can click links.

I've run the risk of getting fired, but I wanted to respond that badly. I guess that means you did a good job or that I'm an idiot or both.

Also, colour me surprised that Ghost Towns is in your favorite songs list. Don't get me wrong, it's friggin amazing and among my favorites too, but the lyrics don't really fit you. IN MY OPINION.

Also, discriminating SWF: Colour incorrect. Color correct. Dayum.
