DFW Brawl Thread: Batou Monthly, Feb 18th - Revolution 10, Mar 3rd

Go to Dphat's house.
Take off your shoes when you first step inside. Place them somewhat near the door.
If his mom is there, Eyeball her just a bit. Not too deep, cause Dphat will look at you funny and then ask you to leave in a shouting voice. But glance at her enough to appreciate her Hot Asian Assets.
Go up to Dphat, say you are honored to be at his place, and that you love the way he plays Brawl. Ask him politely for a few friendlies.
Do not sh*t talk him while you two play. If you do, he will sh*t talk back even harder and eventually make you cry and leave.
At the end of the Brawl session, thank Dphat for letting you stay, and leave.
When you are a part of the Dallas community, there are... certain terms or "memes" or inside jokes you should get yourself acquainted with. The process of getting acquainted with a catch phrase/inside joke is not to hear it being tossed around, and then you toss it around all the time and hope you are using it in context and in good taste. The process is much more complex than that. You hear the phrase, you ask a respected member of the community who is good at reviving the scene where the aforementioned things happened, and have him run you along where it came from. When you come to understand and appreciate said phrase/inside joke, then you are allowed to occasionally... OCCASIONALLY... gently toss it out there in appropriate situations.
A short list of phrases you should get acquainted with at the appropriate time:

after playing a bit of brawl with damien i think ive gotten a little better at the metaknight matchup. Its been a while but id like to play with all u guys soon. I recommend saturday!!!

If at any time you are on a trip to an Oklahoma Tournament and pass Camping World, congratulate yourself. This is where DMG trains diligently.
If you are abruptly killed by Game and Watch, and the last thing you remember seeing is a nine, you're playing Utd_Zac.
If you're playing Billy and Shuz in a team, double team Shuz, billy wont help him.
If you're playing Awestin, don't go off stage.
If you're playing Phoenix Alpha, he will down smash you while you're hanging on the edge. Wait for it, then punish.

Awestin, yes i LOVE advent children, i got the complete blu- ray version for Christmas.( good call on the avatar, it is Kadaj) DBZ is amazing as well. You are right, we do get along TOO WELL. It's kinda scary.
